New Student at Superhero High (KiraMusani x Frozen Princess)

Alina looked at Jean a little confused.
"What? It isn't? I thought that is exactly what it was like, a muscle, the more you train it the better it will become. And to discover new things about our abilities, we need to try new things. At least that is what I thought."

She looked amazed at both their abilities.
"Wow, you two have so much control of your powers, how long have you had them?" She asked to know if Ivy got her recently so it would be likely that others got them at other times too.

Alina stayed mostly quiet as they talked about Cheetah, she had a bad impression of her but she wanted to believe that the people here were good, they had to be or why did she kill two people to escape?

She jumped at the commotion and the sudden incident with Windy. She looked between them noticing the stares before she was handed the paper.
"Oh umm, thanks, I'll look at it later," she told her putting the envelope in her pocket.

Alina kept her hand down, she was confused as Velocity was saying the opposite of what it seemed like happened but, she was not great at social interaction and reading others yet.

"I umm, can't Jean just read her mind? Then we would know for sure right?" She asked seeming confused.
"Or is that how you knew?" She asked looking at Jean.

Charles, once this came to him, would show Cheetah the surveillance and asked why she did what she did, still wanting to help her not throw her out for the brotherhood to get her.

Jean shook her head and gave a sad smile. "It's not like that. There are limits to what our abilities can do, and what we mentally can handle." She pinched the bridge of her nose, trying to think of the best way to explain it. "Do you know how our regular muscles can only go so far before they can tear or become permanently damaged? We're human, so our physical bodies can only take so much before they give out. If the powers are physical, like, Velocity for example.... Speed. What will happen to her if she is pushed beyond her abilities? She could have a horrible accident because she couldn't control the speed she reached, right? Strength. What if Kara is pushed beyond her strength levels? The weight is going to fall on her, right?" She took a breath as she thought about her own powers. "Mine is all about what the mind can do. Brain power also has a limit. I may not have reached mine yet, but from what you've told us, yours might have been reached. If you're pushed farther than it, your mind can get broken. Just like any other muscle. Only difference is, your brain is tied into pretty much everything you are. That is both the strongest and most fragile of your muscles. Charles won't push me past my current limits, because it's all I can handle, currently. Will he try other avenues?" A shrug. "Maybe, when he sees that I can handle it. Right now, I have what I can handle. He doesn't want to break my mind." She looked Alina in the eye. "Does that make sense to you, now?" She'd answer Alina's question about how long as soon as she was sure Alina understood about how the powers could have limits.

Sheila Lasso grinned. "Had mine since I was in nappies." She laughed at the memory. "Nah, truth. I could rope since I was a toddler, but I had to build up my accuracy and speed. Now, I'm the fastest rope in all of Australia!"

Brinker laughing, commented, "That I believe! You had Jean and Kitty tied together in under a second!"

Ivy grimaced. "Could that be why I have to have a physical pretty much every day, and a mental health assessment by both Professor X or Quincy twice a week? I mean, it kinda makes a weird sense, now. I've only had mine a few weeks, probably a month total."

Cheetah was just being what she was meant to. Rival (and future villainess) to Princess Diana and Windy. She shrugged as she was confronted with what she had done, and said it was funny. It was for the exaggerated reaction Windy had. She didn't know and probably wouldn't have cared that at Windy's speed of 45 mph, that she was traveling, she could have gotten seriously hurt, or hurt someone else when she stumbled, and especially if she had fallen. Cheetah also was already in detention for half the school year as is.

Alina nodded.
"Of course we all have limits, that is not what I was saying. I meant to learn and find out what those limits are we need to keep pushing, a little, not a whole lot. I am not asking you to go from controlling a lasso with your mind to a car, but maybe to a loaf of bread or something." She paused for a moment as she thought of how to explain.
"Oh! literal baby steps! you aren't born knowing to walk, you need to try and fall and try right? And I don't think I have reached my limit, there is still plenty I feel I can do, the barriers I can make, I can't make them as strong as the one around my body, but I have been slowly been getting better at them, making new shapes, making them faster, stronger and so on." She explained, wanting to make sure that Jean knew what she mean, surely living in a school she had to agree, right?
"You make it sound like we have hard limits, and to an extent we do, but I think you can always try and do a little better each time, otherwise, what is the point of training?"

"Oh then Sheila, you are like me. I have had my abilities for as long as I can remember, I presume as a toddler or infant." Alina nodded, before doing the same to Ivy, having already known she only had hers a short time.
"What about you Jean and Kitty? When did your powers start?"

---------------

Meanwhile, outside the gate, the female scientist had returned and messaged the person that replaced Cover Girl at guard duty. She had two suitcases and a laptop on her.
"Hello, I have returned, I was told I could stay here,"

Jean nodded along with Alina, as she listened to what Alina was explaining. "Pushing past a limit without letting your body or mind adjust to it can be detrimental also. Many an athlete has pulled a muscle doing too much too soon. Never mind using performance enhancing drugs to build muscles." She shrugged. "Maybe I'm erring oh the side of caution, because I know what could possibly happen if I push my mind too far. I'm probably not at my hard limits either, just as far as I can go. As far as moving things heavier than a lasso, I already can, but as Charles is wont to say, we should be responsible with them and not show off just for the purpose of impressing people. Show our abilities among friends is okay. As far as how long I knew about my abilities? Almost half my life. I was nine. It's not a pleasant thought for me." She went quiet. In this universe, she saved her best friend, but was then told by her parents to never show the ability again. In most other universities, her friend was killed, leaving her devastated. She still was, as the girl had a lot of questions she didn't have answers to, but was still alive, they just weren't close anymore, and now were several towns and a dimension apart. She looked at Kitty, who she thought had knowledge of her powers maybe the second shortest amount of time as anyone there with powers. "What was it you told me? Your 13th birthday wasn't it? Just over three years now?" She knew, and not from mind reading. She'd known Kitty that long, but just recently been seeing her socially. Besides.... It wasn't Jean's place to say positively. It was Kitty's.

Cordell Walker, aka Bull's Eye, came to the gate just as Spirit (Charlie Iron-Knife) came back from his patrol, with Freedom, his eagle circling before landing close to the scientist and looking quizzically at her then the laptop, then to Spirit and squawking, taking a look again at the laptop.

"Freedom's right, Amber. We'll have to take a look at the laptop. Let her in Bull's Eye. Amber, set the laptop up here on the desk, and explain what you have on it. Rules, you understand." Spirit patted the desk so he could also see what she explained. He was very cordial through the entire thing. Bull's Eye grabbed the two suitcases, which also had to be checked. Cover Girl was immediately called to do that, as she was the only female GI Joe on duty at the school.

When she got there, she'd shoo everyone out except Amber. By then, Spirit and Amber would be finished with the laptop.

Alina nodded along, of course, she knew there were limits and you had to be careful when training, but she did say baby steps.
"Yeah of course, as I said, baby steps little by little, and I was just using the lasso thing as an example." She rubbed the back of her head.
"All I am trying to say is that we should not stop trying to grow stronger, and umm, yes we do also need to let ourselves rest. And yes be careful not to push too far."

Kitty nodded.
"Yeah on my 13th birthday, I had a nightmare and fell through my bed and landed on the floor below my room, luckily I missed the glass table." She nodded and took a breath for a moment.
"My parents aren't telling me not to use my powers, but they were more interested in Prof. X finding a way to quote un-quote, cure me." She admitted.

She nodded along as she explained when she got her abilities, she was surprised at the variety, and Ivy seems to be the only one that got her powers in an accident, the others like her were born with them, or developed them naturally. She wondered if Ivy was the only one to have abilities by accident.

--------------------------------------------------

Amber nodded, took the laptop out of its bag, and showed him, it seemed to be a basic laptop, with nothing special on or about it.
"Yeah, I mostly need it to show Mr. Xaiver a few things and maybe work up a system for how we are going to proceed with everything." She explained to Spirit before going with Cover Girl.
"Yeah, I just have a basic change of clothes and stuff like that." She explained. And as Cover Girl inspected she would see just that, everything from underpants to sweaters.

Jean rolled her eyes more at her parents' reasoning as she quoted them. "Mine wasn't about curing, it was they were way freaked out about them. Kinda even made keeping normal friends." She shook her head. "I don't know about that. I think I'm just as normal as any other teenager... Relatively speaking... If they don't ask too many personal questions..." She'd had a few people like that, too. "Alina, I really think, you'll probably be talking more with Quincy or Dr. Brinker than even Charles for at least this first week. More to get you acclimated to your surroundings and being around so many kids your own age. Hopefully, the four of us are just the beginning of the friends you'll make." She smiled.

If Alina would ever talk to the Flashes and Velocity, she'd learn there were plenty that got their powers through accidents, and it wasn't just among the speedsters, but that knowledge wasn't available just yet, as she hadn't had a chance to meet a lot of her schoolmates, and had only met one true classmate in Kitty. Two of her new friends were seniors.

As Courtney Krieger (Cover Girl) went carefully through the suitcases, moreso not to mess up the way it was set up (as even Quincy would have to use her suitcase for now until they got her a used dresser), she said with a nod, "Not a lot of faculty have to spend the night here, despite it basically being a boarding school. As you're aware, I will also be boarding here due to my orders from the President himself. I've already told Alina to think of me as an actual Mom, and told her her to call me anytime. I have to be a call away anyhow. You'll probably be roomed with some of the teachers who stay here. I haven't been given my official dorm yet, either." Those two would end up dormmates right there in the girls dorm in the matrons master room on the first floor near the steps and elevator. Courtney just didn't know that yet, but would upon escorting Amber to the meeting. She might as well help Amber by taking her suitcases there so she could be there if trouble rears up, though there shouldn't be any now.

Kitty wrapped an arm around Jean.
"That was then, I think now they understand more how these powers are as much as a part of me as anything else, sometimes it just takes time for people to adapt."
"And I don't think any of us are really, normal teenagers, at least not all the time. But sometimes we are, like right now, in the danger room, heh not so much." Kitty chuckled.
"But nor normal does not mean not good, if anything, normal can be a little boring." She added.

Alina nodded and then took a moment before looking at Jean and Kitty.
"So umm, are you two like roommates or something? You seem closer to each other than you are with Ivy or anyone else." Not seeming to have clued in on the two dating, perhaps not even knowing about dating?

Amber nodded and once all her stuff was packed up again and she had entered within the school she let out a sigh of relief.
"Haaa, finally, so I managed to get my non-disclosure agreement but only inside the grounds here and only to minimal staff including Charles. There is some hidden file on this laptop that is for his and, maybe your eyes only. They can only be unlocked with this USB." She said pulling a USB from her bra.
"There is a lot to discuss and if you want to know everything that Alina has experienced, and what we already know of her abilities, and that of the Red Threat assuming you want to help stop it, we should have a meeting with the Professor as soon as possible."

When they arrived at Charles office, Cover Girl couldn't believe her eyes. Of course, Charles was a mind reader, but still. It seemed half the Pentagon was there. Admirals Ledger and Keel-Haul. Generals Flagg and Hawk and a few brass she wasn't sure what they did or ran. There was even presidential aides who had introduced themselves as "Mercy" and another as "Grace" with"Grace" being Chief of Staff. Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Batman, Superman and Queen Hippolyta was also among the members with Dr. Quincy, herself, at a chair next to where Charles would roll his wheelchair. "Cover Girl. You're excused. The heads of GI Joe will fill you in as needed. We first need to know what we're up against, which the good scientist will fill us in." She then shooed Cover Girl, like shooing a pesky teenager. "Go do something with yourself. Like fix up your and this doctor's dorm room. You are both in the matrons' master the girls' dorm with shared duties. Amber, we'll introduce ourselves when you shut the door, and after Charles says his piece."

And just like a typical teenager, Cover Girl snarked to Amber, "Tolja we were gonna be roomies, Roomie." She grabbed Amber's suitcases so the scientist could get to work. It was a good thing it was the weekend. Flagg and Hawk couldn't help but chuckle at Cover Girl's remark but Keel-Haul raised an unamused eyebrow. "She'd never get away with that in the Navy."

Ledger, who had cracked a smile, ribbed his fellow Admiral. "Oh dry up, you old sea dog. We don't know what was said on the way over to bring that on, but it should stay between the ladies."
----------------------------------------------------------------

Jean smiled and patted one of Kitty's cheeks with her one hand, while kissing the other cheek. "Something like that. We have our own dorm room, but we stay over at the other's every now and again. Kitty's my girlfriend... Second definition. We're dating, that is, seeing each other socially." She then gave Kitty a twinkle eyed flirty pouty blown kiss.

Ivy, meanwhile, right when the question came out of Alina's mouth, stared at her shoes. Her face started blushing the more Jean talked, that by the time she was finished, Ivy's face was as red as a rose with the trace of a smile, as she looked down at her pigeon toed feet.

Crystal didn't help matters as she asided to Alina. "They're about to pash, you can bank on it." Then aloud to the two, "No rooting here, take it to your own room!" She teased, causing Jean to blush and give a self conscious giggle.

Amber nodded and rolled her eyes playfully at Cover Girl.
"Okay, okay, now you should go, this.. it may take a while." She nodded and watched as she left before listening to Charles explain the general situation to everyone and who Amber was as well as who each person there was.

"Okay, so where should I start?" She asked pulling her laptop out and inserting the USB drive. She typed in some information before looking up at them for their questions.

-----------------------------------------

Alina looked over at them with a look of surprise.
"Wait, Girls can date other girls? I have only ever heard of boys dating girls and vice versa, husband and wife, mother and father. How does it work with two girls?" She asked, clearly having had been taught where babies came from but not about more general information about gender and sexuality, most likely what they teach in school and nothing else.
"I mean, if girls can date other girls why wouldn't they? Girls are more attractive and nicer." She asked seeming confused.

"Pash? what is Pash?"

Keel-Haul was the first. With a raised hand, he asked, "Why are we just now hearing about this Red Threat? Especially if it wasn't the Red Scare from the McCarthy era of the 50s and 60s?"

After that was answered, Flagg spoke up. "How ready do we need to have GI Joe? This being the most elite fighters ever assembled, and from all over the world, as we just finally put the kibosh on COBRA, with plenty of casualties. It's going to take time to rebuild our forces to acceptable levels."

Batman was just a bit more pragmatic and logical "How long has the scientific arm of the government known about a possible threat without giving GI Joe a heads up? And are we talking the level of COBRA, or worse?" The terrorist organization had been the biggest threat since the mid 80s. The brass sitting around the table were the grunts who first faced them.

-------------------------------------------------------

Crystal did the speaking. "Why not? Love is love, aye?" She said pointing to the two. "What you're describing is the definition of the traditional family. It's the best way to go, but suppose ya been hurt by them drongos enuf times, ya be thinkin' yer better off with a sheila." She shrugged. "That seems to be the case here, with at least one of them."

Jean then smiled and said "I gotcha covered on what a pash is, Crystal." She then kissed Kitty deeply and passionately with a satisfied hum, giving Kitty a little tongue with the kiss. In front of all of those present.

Brinker had to swallow a lump in her throat. "Damn. Kitty....? Hold onto THAT one. She meant that."

She listened to each of them before taking a breath to compose herself for the questions from all sides.
"Okay so, I'll answer what I can, but if I miss anything let me know." She pulled up some files on her laptop.
"This Red threat, is technically, as of now, neutralized. Though not permanently. This is the reason they use for keeping it a secret for our lab, technically the government has never asked about details, we just said, it is world threat level but we can handle it." She explained before taking another breath.
"This thing has been going on longer than we know, and by that I mean, it goes far back enough that the notes aren't clear on things like dates or names. We since then have digitalized it all, but a large bulk of the information is unclear." She moved through some files before speaking again.
"Okay so as for its level, if we are to believe the notes we have, it is around the realm of Apocolyps or doomsday, and I mean the beings not the even, though I suppose that kind of matches as well." She added as an extra thought.|

"You see the thing is, it is currently captured, and incapacitated, though that will only be the case as long as we have a constant source of electricity to keep it trapped. Though this also makes it near impossible to confirm its threat level." She explained going through more files.
"The notes say that if it ever breaches its containment, nothing will be able to stop it from hunting every human to extinction. That it has teleporting abilities and is and I quote, Un-Killable" She looked up from her notes after saying that.
"Which as far as we are able to test is true, its skin, composed of Red scales, is as tough as supermans, it negates any magics, so something like Wonder Woman sword or a spell from doctor strange or Zatana would be pointless. Though we managed to pierce its flesh once with an alien drill from the future, don't ask how we got it, but it was bounded more advanced than anything we have today. But even that was a wash because its 'blood' if we can even call it that, ate the drill bit that entered it before forming new scales nearly instantly." She took a breath scrolling down.
"Its claws, teeth, and the tip of its tail can even cut through adamantium with relative ease." She said glancing over to Wolverine.
"It can apparently eat anything, though as far as we can tell does not need to as it has not yet starved to death in the time it has been captured, unable to move an inch for at least a century." She paused again taking a breath.

"One thing the people who first captured, or discovered it did do were keep the rocks that it was apparently encased in. We have tested these rocks and from where it was found and what we learned, we think it was from the meteor that took out the dinosaurs, so if right, this thing could be damned immortal." She took a deep breath.
"haaa... So very deadly, allegedly, teleporting, immortal creature, is trapped by electrical currents, we can't kill it if somehow we lose all power it escapes. So we wanted to create a barrier using Alina's barriers since they have been shown to prevent teleporting through pr past them. And shoot it into the sun with a barrier-protected thermal generator, which will be powered by the heat of the sun it is trapped in. The generator will provide both electrical shocks and the barrier as a secondary measure." She explained letting out another big exhale.

"Any questions?"

--------------------------------------------------------

Alina nodded along but still seemed confused.
"I mean, you need that one for reproduction right? But obviously, anyone would rather be with a woman, right? I mean I have been equally harmed by men and women but still know I would prefer time with other girls." She explained.

Kitty looked at Jean ready for her explanation but was not ready for the kiss, which caused her to blush deeply and accidentally phase a little before catching herself and kissing back. Once the kiss was released she took a breath in looked at Jean forgetting about the other girls at the moment and smiled.
"Wow, I freaking love you," She said before snapping back into reality and clearing her throat.
"achem, umm y-yeah so, yup, that is Pash, and umm, I will." She nodded, back straight as she corrected her posture.

Alina just looked wide-eyed with a blush on her face almost equalling that of Ivy's earlier.
"Oh, umm well, I have never seen anything like that before, so umm, y-yeah, good to know. And that is something, a girlfriend would do with her girlfriend right? Wh-what does it feel like?"

Hippolyta said regally, "It's not Wonder Woman, it's Amazonian. I'll thank you to remember that. Diana uses the moniker but isn't 18 yet, and I will not let her have THAT sword until she does. I now know where that piece of blade that was sent here over 150 years ago, went."

The four head brass all glanced at each other as the details were laid out before them of what exactly the Red Threat was. They also stared surprised that someone that looked in her mid to late 30s was really pushing 200. Or more.

Wolverine was the next to speak up. "Didn't you think of asking and explaining to Alina all that was going on, didn't you think of training her here, and eliciting the help of Green Lantern... Well, one of what? Five? And I ain't counting the girlies Jade, Jessica and... That one that wears nearly white costume... Inex or somethin'? This school was founded in '39 by the Wayne family, especially for superheroes. It was never a secret. As far as the electricity an' computer savviness, Joe has a whole fleet. Ya couldn't ASK? Lookit where that gotcha." Yes, it was a sore spot for Logan. He might not fully trust the girl, but he fully got her need to escape.

Flagg finally spoke up. "We can have Mainframe*, Firewall*, Power Grid*, Power Surge*, Sparks*, Voltage*, and the GI Joe Velocity*, a male not a high speed teenage GIRL who could make a serious, and in this case catastrophic, mistake, here within 48 hours. Charles, is there a place that these seven experts and this young lady can work unhindered?"

Flagg was offering up three highly skilled computer programmers and four highly skilled electronics experts whose specialty was exactly the kind of electrical field was already around the creature. Their job was a way to make it even more impenetrable than it was already, and possibly strengthen already current ties.

"See me or Admiral Ledger for Joes that can help build the rocket drone to the sun." Hawk stated as Ledger nodded an affirmative. "You'll already have three mission control operatives that will help build protection so your electric field won't fail with a power outage. I hope you have several backup generators going already."

Truly, all they would have had to do was ask. All the brass were angry they didn't know about this sooner, but all were agreed that now that they did, it was past time to act. Flagg finished with, "if these seven are acceptable, I can have who they are sent to you, coded of course, and only accessible by you or one of the four heads of GI Joe that you have met. Hawk, Ledger, Keel-Haul and myself."

--------------------------------------------------------------

Jean touched Kitty's temples, establishing the psy-link and said directly into her mind, And I you, my dear Shadow Kitty, you can reach out to me anytime, now, my heart. She then looked at Alina, "If they're truly in love with as well as love each other."

Ivy had seen enough PDA to last her at least the rest of the night as she said excitedly in an effort to change the subject, "So what fun thing should we do next? Do each other's hair, maybe?"

*-real names given later.

Amber was surprised at the age of the Amazonian, was she too immortal? But she tried to hide her surprise and shook her head.
"Right, sorry, but either way that sword won't help stop this thing, as I said."

Amber held her hands up as they all berated her for not asking sooner.
"Hey, that was not my call, I on several occasions suggested we seek outside help, but they wanted to keep it in-house. They claimed, that Xaiver would insist on speaking with the creature since there are no actual records that we have of it committing a violent act, the notes simply state its goal with no reference to their source or how they got it. And most of the others would try and weaponize the monster, try and find a way to control it or replicate its abilities." Again she looked toward Logan with that statement.
"In their words, a bleeding heart and power-hungry mongrels cannot be trusted with this monster, it was up to us to put an end to it." She crossed her arms.

"So don't go blaming me for all this! I am the only reason you know about it now, and it took m- Alina getting captured to allow me to do so." She added with a huff.

"And yes they have several backups to the power to its cell, a direct connection to a hydro damn, connected to the city's grid, five separate backup generators. There have been mistakes in the past where it went without power, but the creature seems to take a little to recover from whatever the electrical current does to it. However, that time seemed to get shorter and shorter each time there was a mistake, it started and an hour, but last recorded was believed it would be free within five minutes, it could be much less now."

"If we can put forth a solid plan, or show that your goal is ONLY to prevent this thing from ending all human life on earth, then we could likely push for you to see the thing yourselves, and work with the team there." She added looking at the seven plus the other members.

--------------------------------

Kitty held a hand to her head before leaning on Jean, the first time Psy-link could be rough.

Alina nodded at Jean then looked at Ivy.
"Hair? like, cut it? Is that a normal thing for girls to do at, what is it, a sleepover?"

"Technically, I believe you're forgetting what the President said to the three of you and Cover Girl." Quincy frowned with a bit of snip, prior to Charles putting a hand on her shoulder and shaking his head almost father like. "Deep breaths, Doctor. Amber, show her what you've been doing, Emilia... Take notes." He moved from the head of the table which allowed Amber access to the medical doctor to basically teach her to breathe deep and relax. Something Quincy hasn't had time to do, even before Alina arrived. "Gentlemen, and Lady Hippolyta. I was in psy-link conversation with Cover Girl in regards to the lead scientist doing all the talking and being demanding, without listening to her cordial request. She reached out to me for any idea I could have to reason with him and get Alina's name when the President himself called the guard station. We, and that is Superhero High as a community, have nine months to come up with some sort of progress with Alina, than the scientists have in the same amount of time. There is a caveat, that was forgotten, I hope just temporarily, by the young lady. We have Alina for nine months with no interference from them, PROVIDED we, and that includes all employed by the school, thus GI Joe must adhere to it as well, do not bother or harass them with any of their other projects." He nodded to the laptop. "That includes Red Threat. As much as I would love to communicate with the creature, for the next nine months, that is vetoed by the President himself. After this trial run, if we have your trust, then it can be possible, and with that same caveat. Provided your goal is pure, Joes. Hank? Would you be able to make room for those eight individuals in your laboratory?"

Flagg looked for the case files for the seven Joes mentioned, with only their name, place of birth, rank and specialty.

Mainframe: Blaine L. Parker. Phoenix, AZ. Communications expert, computer technology. Staff Sergeant (E-6)

Firewall: Michelle LaChance. Virginia Beach, VA. Computer programming, data entry, networking (so hacking, basically as well as the regular knowledge). Basic training (E-1 or E-2 most likely)

Sparks: Alessandro "Alex" D Verdi. Carcare, Italy. Telecommunications, cryptologic operations, electronic warfare (if it comes to that. He'd basically lead Mission Control) No assigned rank (Not found, basically)

Power Grid: Stephanie Trautham. Chipping Camden, UK. Electroanalyist, electronic equipment repair. Electric specialist (E-4)

Power Surge: Lionel Hardcastle. Los Angeles, CA. Electrician, electronic engineer. Sergeant (E-5)

Voltage: Amanda Powers. Versailles, France. Constructor for High Tension boxes (such as a containment unit). Intern of Joe's Velocity. Youngest member of this elite team of specialists. PFC (Private First Class E-3)

Velocity (M) Adam Savage (sound familiar? It should... Mythbusters) New York City, NY. Special effects designer, fabricator, electronic engineer, educator, special ops, could build Faraday cages for anything. Major (Amber will realize she met him at the meeting)

Amber placed her thumb and index finger on the bridge of her nose and sighed.
"Yes, all the plans I was stating was for after the nine months, I was there, I remember what the president said. And sure, I'll add the breathing practice to the schedule when needed, thank you. However, you all still seem to see me as the bad guy here, and clearly, everything I say is going in one ear and out the other as it is all tossed aside." She said a little exasperated.

"Yes we also need to figure out more about Alina, but like you said before you have several people to figure out the barrier issue, so if you do that, Alina will be no longer relevant. Right? So let's focus on the end game here, At least for me and the Joes Assigned to me, Charles, you and the school can help Alina, science I think has done all it can with her short of a nuke." She added.

"If we make a strong enough case and have a solid plan then we can move forward with the president's blessing."

Beast nodded solemnly, looking around at the room and its general energy of it.
"When children create for the world they make it good. When children create for their teacher, they make it good enough. - Rushton Hurley" Beast quoted.
"I'll make a space for them"

Charles patted Amber's upper back. "It could be because nobody knew about the threat. As you see everyone is eager to help dispel it. Government scientists have lied to a lot of us in this room. People have lied to all of us in this room. We're not making you the bad guy, and we aren't meaning to discount or ignore what you've said. Sounds to me like the Joe brass are actually all on your side. You may have to explain things to the enlisted... And I think you mean Dr. Quincy needs to make time in her busy schedule to take lessons from you on how to relax with deep breathing. She's the one getting short with everyone. Yours is frustration and totally understandable. Thank you, Hank, and if there's nothing farther that needs discussed right now, we should call it a night." Noticing the Major having a hand raised. "Yes, Major Savage, is it?"

"I believe the young lady already has my information? I'm the Joes Velocity, and I look forward to working with you. Just so I'm not confused with the other, maybe Major will work best. I'm old and slow of speed but quick to jump... Not young and fast as lightning, like the student."

Charles nodded. He glanced at Amber with a shrug before turning back to Velocity. "Good to know, Major, but most her friends call her by her name. Windy."

At the sleepover, in Ivy's dorm, Brinker looked at Ivy as if it was her job to explain.

"Oh. Um... No we don't, umm, cut each other's hair, we, like style it or put it in curlers, or just brush it."

Amber took another breath.
"Right, okay well one trick I'll give you for now is breath in for five seconds and out for five seconds, repeat until calm. Next thing, I agree, maybe we should adjourn for the night, and start fresh tomorrow, let everyone sit on all the information that was given and start-up when the lab and everyone is ready." She recommended, looking around the room.

"Wait Major Savage, is that in any relation to Vandel Savage?" She asked knowing about the immortal man it seemed.
"And Windy, would it not be best if you joined Alina? I am sure she could use some friends"

---------------------------------------

Alina nodded. "Oh, okay, so I guess that is enjoyable? Maybe it sounds less so than it is?" She asked looking around the room to see if she was sounding crazy.

Dr. Quincy tried, but it wasn't very deep. It wasn't shallow either, and in most cases (as probably Amber herself probably closed her eyes, while breathing in, filling the lungs or diaphragm completely) the eyes would close almost naturally. Not Emilia Quincy. Oh no. She had to see everything going on as if she had a full infirmary ward (which she never had anyway, even at her busiest a few months back).

As Velocity appeared as soon as the door opened, screeching to a halt on the tiled hall floor, she looked surprised at the different people, military brass and new lady. "Who? Me? The new girl I just gave the welcome packet to? Umm.. I dunno if I can crash a slumber party, but I would love to have more friends. Who doesn't want more friends?" Her wide eyed look wasn't lost on Major Adam Savage.

"No. I'm not related to Vandal Savage, Miss Amber, I'm afraid I don't even know who that is." His amused expression was more for Windy's surprising arrival, surprised look, yet (for him anyway) unsurprising answer, although even Windy's tone told a different story. She sort of just blurted the words out, and seemingly spilled them into the air and room.

Windy just sort of stood there flabbergasted that Amber saw her arrive, then in all reality, how could she not? She looked like she didn't know whether to leave or not, now.

Charles said calmly, "Windy, are you finished with your mail route?" A nod. "Then you're excused for the night."

"Oh. Right. Umm. Thanks, Prof." She then looked at Amber. "And I'll get on that make friends with Alina thing in the morning if it's alright, as I don't think it's polite to crash someone's party. That'd be a horrible first impression. Who'd wanna be friends with party crashers?" She'd zip off in a pink streak before Amber could formulate an answer.

Ivy looked around as everyone else seemed okay with the idea of everyone doing each other's hair.

Jean did raise an eyebrow as Alina wasn't sure if it was enjoyable. "If you like brushing or combing your hair, having someone else doing it. It is pretty enjoyable. Maybe we should go by class in this case. The two seniors and the two sophomores pair up, and I guess the junior with the counselor?" She sent a question though, psychically, to her girlfriend. "f that's ok with you, love? You can show her by doing hers first. Or would you rather do Ivy's hair? She does trust you as well.

Jean would have no issue with either if Kitty would rather play with red hair, after all, JEAN herself was a redhead. Ivy's hair wasn't poisonous, and the flowers that blossomed in it, did have a pleasant smell. She'd respect Kitty's wishes without even a thought of a murmur.

Brinker looked at Sheila Lasso. "Looks like we're paired up, Crystal."

"Peers so, Doc. So... Who's messin' with whose follicles first?" Lasso asked with a shrug. "Makes no never mind to me."

Amber smiled and shook her head.
"We will work on that." She said noticing her poor breathing.

"Well, I am not sure if that lack of relation is a good thing or bad. Having another immortal could go either way in this case. No matter I am sure you are perfectly qualified."

Amber opened her mouth and raised a finger about to respond when the girl dashed off.
"That sounds fine..." She spoke out loud to the air.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kitty placed her hand on her chin.
"Well as tempting as it is to try to compare the read heads' hair, I think it is Ivy's job to show Alina around right? So maybe I'll just stick to helping my girlfriend out."

Alina looked to Ivy.
"Umm, go ahead and try I guess, my hair is kind of short, and I am not even sure if you can do those things, my barrier can be weird about stuff." She admitted and rubbed the back of her head.

"If it means that much to possibly have another immortal to at least talk to, Amber, I can put you in touch with a friend of mine." Queen Hippolyta said. "I don't know what she can offer, but if you like, her name, which is a bit of a mouthful, is Winter Snow Summer Rain. She's visiting on Themyscira right now. Let me know in the morning before I leave if you want me to talk to her for you."
----------------------------------------------------------------

It would seem to even Brinker, that with Jean giving a shrug of The princess has spoken and with no verbal argument (and Kitty could attest no mental argument either) from the alpha female of the X-Men students, she was the submissive one in the relationship. And if so, Jean would probably say it was the only break from giving orders that she got, so it was welcome. Brinker just blinked a few times in askance to Kitty without a word, before saying, "Crystal, did you bring your brush or comb?"

Crystal would respond with a laugh and, "What kinda sheila doesn't bring her hair care products to a sleepover, Doc?" She then would hand both over!

As Ivy moved to Alina, got behind her, and started brushing her hair gently, while also trying to gently caress the side of her head while running her brush along parallel to where the brush was at any given time. Meanwhile, Jean leaned back from her sitting position on the floor, relinquishing control of her head and hair to her girlfriend, handing over her favorite comb at the same time with a smile.

Ivy had opened a brand new brush right in front of Alina before she had even started like a stylist or barber who had done this thousands of times before. Alina would have seen it had never been through anyone's hair before hers, and hopefully even her shield would sense that. This was going to be Alina's personal brush.

Amber nodded.
"If possible that would be great, not easy to come by perhaps she can offer some sort of insight we lack, if old enough they may even know of the monster and can shed more light on it's intentions"

-------------------------

Alina looked at the brush and just gave Ivy an awkward smile. She didn't know what to do or say, this was a whole new experience for her, she didn't even know if it would work. Ivy would find it amazingly easy to brush her hair, it felt like there was no resistance at all as she brushed moved through.
"Oh, that, feels a little different..." Alina mumbled slightly.
It seemed like it was working at least.

Hippolyta nodded and exited, though in truth if it was around as long as suspected, not even Winter would know much if anything, but it was worth a shot, even to the Amazonian Queen.

(Now would be only the sleepover unless you want interaction between the two adult roommates, Cover Girl and Amber. Set it up if so)

As Jean relaxed under the care of Kitty's combing, eyes closed, completely at peace with Kitty being in control right now, Brinker and Crystal both seemed to be discussing the rules of Australian football, or "footie" as Crystal seemed to correct the police counselor every now and then.

Ivy was surprised with not only how easy it was to brush Alina's hair, but there seemed to be no barrier for her hands and fingers as they ran in a caressing motion along a pathway parallel to the brush. "Wait. You're feeling the brush? Umm... What about my hand? Are you feeling it too?" This was already success where the scientists had none if it was really happening. Ivy just continued to do what she was, seemingly guiding the brush with the other hand before finally stopping because she had gone over the whole of Alina's scalp where her hair was. "Okay. That's how to brush someone's hair, so hopefully you won't find any tangles in mine. Those things are boogers to get out, and you may need hedge clippers if you have to trim. Believe me, you and everyone else will know if you hit a tough tangle, you'll pull my head back and I'll probably holler. Please use my brush. The one I was using for you is your personal one to brush your hair when you go back to your dorm." Ivy's brush will be sitting on her bed, and Ivy would have to do what Jean was for Kitty. Sit on the floor as Alina sat on the bed. (Kitty would technically be sitting on a couch that was pulled out as a daybed.)

Luckily, this time, Ivy won't have any tangles, but her flowers will fill the room with the smell of honeysuckle, meaning ivy is enjoying the brushing too.

Amber nodded in return and left to return to her room as the meeting ended.

---------------------

Alina paused as she thought about her answer to Ivy, closing her eyes to focus on the feeling until she finished.
"Okay, I'll grab the brush and try and do it as you did" she agreed and got into position.
"So umm, about what you asked before. I umm, the hand was like it always is, a pressure without texture or temperature. And the brush, it was also that?" She said in a questioning tone as she brushed her hair, using the same hand guiding system as she had done on her.
"Like it was something new because I never really had anything in my hair like that, it doesn't even grow longer than this, my barrier prevents it from doing so. So like, I was surprised the brush for in there, usually when someone like tries to grab my hair then my barrier will have it so that my hair will have zero friction"

As she said that Ivy would feel that was similar to how it felt brushing her hair like it was flowing through the air.

"So, it wasn't bad, I kind of liked how it was, and this is calming, brushing your hair I mean" she added as she kept brushing, starting to get the hang of the motions.
"Your hair is really pretty and smells nice, I like the flowers. Is that from your powers?"

Ivy seemed shocked that Alina even felt anything. Pressure without texture? She soon realized it was more complicated than that. What was soothing for Alina was puzzling for Ivy. Her hair was up, down, gently flipped, but she couldn't feel Alina's touch. She wondered how Alina could sense a caress. She blushed as she heard Alina's compliment about her hair. "Thanks," she managed shyly. As she was asked about her flowers in her hair, Ivy seemed to allow her voice to perk up. "Yes, actually. I'm not sure I have control fully of it. Umm, shy and happy tend to give off the same smell. Honeysuckle. Relaxed is lilac. Passionate, like talking about something I like or hobby or something? Rose. I'm not sure about love. But just ask Jean. She was near me when Flash Bart made me seething mad." An embarrassed blush before she said barely audible. Alina would be hard pressed to hear it. The two syllables we're barely made out, but both Crystal and Jean could guess, as both were near when Ivy reeked of it. "Crown Imperial."

Brinker saw the mouth move, and maybe Kitty provided she was looking at that moment, but the sound was too quiet. "I'm sorry, Ivy, but what was your floral scent when you get mad?"

Jean winced. "Ohh, Doc... Ya really don't want to know. We had to get her relaxed so the lilacs could overpower it."

Kitty nodded.
"Yeah you are the last one I want to be mad in the same room as."

"Oh, that doesn't sound too good, though my barrier will block anything over a certain threshold. I have been stink bombed before and seemed no different than a garbage can? Maybe? Or maybe the garbage was limited too, I honestly don't know the extent." She explained.
