Thousand-year Curse (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

It was gone, but she could feel it around her. It was probably just the domain, but she could be sure that this curse was above her grade.

Megohime scowled and looked around, keeping her back to her shiki so she would be caught by surprise again, summoning her cobra as well. She started out again, this time at a jogging pace.

She could hear the pads of her tiger's feet as it followed but soon there was nothing. Looking back, the tiger lay dead on the floor, it's neck broken and it's legs ripped from their sockets.

Megohime’s eyes widened and she nearly fell over skidding to a stop. She hadn’t heard a single noise, only silence before she found her Shikigami dead and massacred on the ground. Fear spiked in her chest, looking around for both her hawk and for the curse, now sure it was beyond what she could handle alone. She had to find Masamune fast.

Suddenly a mangled ball of bones and feathers dropped in front of her, her hawk twisted into a gorey amalgamation if its former self.

Megohime felt complete dread overtake her, body heavy and limbs frozen in fear she had never felt before. She stared at her hawks twisted corpse in silence, unable to move an inch, unable to look away.

Her cobra hissed loudly behind her, but Megohime couldn’t move, heart pounding in her ears. She had face many terrifying curses before, and many formidable sorcerers in training, yet she suddenly felt so overwhelmingly unprepared. Her mind was blank, having no idea what to do next, what move to take.

Her arm suddenly felt wet and a soft wet sound hit the floor, and she could only assume that her cobra had been felled as well.
"More?" The voice repeated.

Megohime wasn’t about to throw another one of her Shikigami to it’s death, knowing she was no where near strong enough to even struggle against it. She didn’t know what compelled her to do so, but she turned slowly on her heel, feeling numb as she turned to face what was behind her.

She felt her heart twist and rage boil in her stomach. Her Shikigami could be replaced, but they didn’t deserve such horrid deaths. She felt her fists clench, gnashing her teeth before she found herself sprinting passed the curse and down the corridor of rusting machines.

Megohime felt disgust for herself, running from a curse like a coward, but she had no choice, she wasn’t equipped to fight an enemy of this level.

Megohime could barely choke out a scream as it squeezed all the air from her lungs again, struggling to wriggle from its grasp.

Megohime saw white, feeling like her eyes would be squeezed right out of her head, unable to take in a breath, and unable to scream in pain. Her mouth hun open in a silent scream, gaping in an involuntary attempt to suck in a breath.

She felt its fat stubby fingers push into her mouth and the taste of rotting flesh immediately greeted her, making her stomach churn with the need to vomit.

Megohime felt like her body would twist itself apart with each different reaction- being unable to take a breath in to breathe, feeling the need to vomit, her diaphragm burned with a deep ache and she could feel herself starting to pass out. Her last conscious thoughts were how unpleasant the curses fingernails felt at the back of her throat, the way her jaw ached from her mouth being forced open, and how the rancid aura of the curse burned her eyes.

She woke up for a moment on the floor and Masamune stood over her.
"Gambare, gambare." He said with a bit of a teasing tone. Almost jeering in a way.

She almost didn’t register Masamune’s words, only able to focus on his bright blue eye, heart beating in her ears. Where did the curse go? Had he already killed it? Her body ached, arm throbbing and her breathing ragged. Megohime didn’t get to respond to him, feeling something creeping up her throat. She seemed to vomit out a black, tar like liquid, an abnormal amount spilling from her lips and even out her nose. Her eyes were wide as it stained her skin, burning as it clogged her throat, forcing her onto her side so she didn’t suffocate. The substance that came from her was bitter and foul, and almost immediately she felt feverish, wherever it landed it sizzled. “Poison..!” She was barely able to choke the word out, not even sure it actually was poison or not. It tasted like it, it felt like it.

Megohime brought her gaze to his face again, having to struggle to focus on his face. Tears fell from her eyes as she coughed out more of the black tar, like it was an endless fountain. “Please..” Only her green snake remained on her arm, her Shikigami nowhere to be seen.

His gaze turned a little flat and uncaring before his hand was covered in a blue and black flame. He wrapped his hand around her throat and she felt like she was on fire for the longest ten seconds of her life before he pulled away.
"There, I cured the poison, but that's about all I can do for you."
"More! More!!" The curse was still around, and it was getting anxious before suddenly rushing at them. Masamune merely looked at it and it froze.
"The adults are talking." He hissed out.
