Rage of Dust (1x1 w/ DarkMudkip)

Megohime instantly felt like running again, but she didn’t even know if Shax was refueled. “I’m surprised, you’ve got a lot of gear here.”

“Good way of putting it.” She said with a nod, moving passed Masamune and toward Shax. “And what do you plan to do with all of this? Just collect it?”

“Hm.” Megohime gave a soft grunt, looking around at all the machinery around them, eyes falling back on Shax.

“Danchou!” Nana peeked over the edge of Shax’s chest plate, waving him over. “There’s gotta be some sorta bug with this, it won’t start up, Motochika’s tried a dozen times!”
“He doesn’t like men, that’s why.” Megohime said, catching Nana’s attention.
“Oh! The pilots up!”

“Well,” Megohime moved over to the Gundam, making her way up to the platform with Nana. “He’s probably pissed about the crash-landing ..”
“Pissed..?” Nana looked confused, watching with a tilted head and Megohime climbed into the cockpit, connecting herself to the Gundam. Nana jolted when the Gundam came to life, like it hadn’t been giving her trouble the entire time.

"Ah, so it's picky, huh?" Masamune mused, "Interesting."
"Sugoi..." Motochika looked up at the towering gundam with his one good eye filled with wonder.

Megohime made a noise and leaned out of the cockpit, still attached to Shax. “He doesn’t like men, for one, and he hates being ridden hard.”
“This is amazing..!” Nana moved around to peer into the cockpit. “I’d love to see it in action..”
“Well, that’s up to our Captain down there.” Megohime said, glancing to Masamune.

Megohime blinked one surprise, still getting the notion she wasn’t exactly free to leave with Shax. Looking to Masamune, brows lifted, she shrugged. “If the captain wants it.”

Nana’s eyes practically sparkled. “Imagine how much more we could haul with it! Oh, we have to see it in action, please, Dancho?” She was almost begging. “We’ll be able to recover even better things if we used the Gundam!”

Megohime disconnected herself from Shax as Nana climbed down, looking over the moon. “I’ll make sure everything’s ready to go for tomorrow.” She grinned.

The rest of the day went by in a blur, too many names and faces to remember, bland food, and finally trying to sleep. It was quiet with the exception for a few snores, but Megohime couldn’t sleep, would she really be able to get free of Gyobu? Of Gjallarhorn?

Maybe she still had a chance to run, with them planning to bring her and Shax out on runs, that meant he’d be operational and fueled, she’d have to bide her time, give it a week to squirrel away supplies before making a break for it.

The next morning, everyone was up around the same time, crowding into the mess hall to eat the food Kojurou had made for them. She hadn't heard anything about this run yet though.

Megohime had set her mind to it, she would wait for a short time, then break away before Gyobu could find her and Masamune realized she was planning to bolt. She simply filed into line, getting the same food as everyone else, finding a relatively empty table and sitting down. She pocketed the packaged calorie bar, eating what was on the tray in silence.

Megohime met up with them as soon at she was done with her meal. “So, we heading out?” She asked Masamune, shoving her hands in her pockets.

Megohime nodded, heading up to the cockpit and connecting herself to the suit in preparation to leave. “Ready to go when you are.” She said, checking the controls as the Gundam connected to her senses.
