Ghouls Dogma (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

She saw the kids eyes shift toward Akihime, but she kept her scowl and her silence, only staring at her, as if waiting for her to speak.

She saw something flicker in the girls eyes at the prospect, and she could’ve sworn she saw the girl grin with she nodded, but both the look in her eyes and the grin had vanished rather quickly.

Minehime didn’t know what she was preparing for other than fighting Doves, but it didn’t matter, she got to fight and that was fine with her. At least this one didn’t seem like she wanted anything abhorrent or was going to beat her.

Akihime had been doing her best since Yukimura had first managed to get Megohime's file to grow a kakuja, she knew she would need the extra strength and power to even remotely get out of there alive. That and being stronger than Megohime was always a bonus.

Minehime was used to fighting, she was really good at it in fact, and not only did she had a balanced Rinkaku, but she had a strong Kokaku. She was a rare Ghoul, a chimera born from parents of two different Kagune types, both of which had been slain by Doves.

Akihime made sure she was well fed before they went anywhere near Cochlea, and when it was time to break in Akihime took Minehime just outside the building, "Are you ready, Minehime?"

She answered by putting the silver mask over her face, securing it snuggly and heading off to where Akihime had previously instructed her to go. Now all that was left was to slip inside unnoticed and find Megohime, then get back out unnoticed. Easy right?

Minehime would be fine on her own. She was a rather powerful ghoul for someone so young. She slipped passed all the Doves as they rushed to deal with the girl, her half mask covering her mouth as she snuck around, following Megohime's scent.

It took quite a bit of concentration to keep on the scent of Megohime, especially since so many other Ghouls were in one area, but that wasn’t the only reason. Her scent smelled diluted, off somehow; it was strange and she couldn’t place it, but she had to keep going.

Most of the security was out front dealing with Minehime, so it was relatively easy to slip through the large building, following Megohime’s scent all the way down a floor and to a locked room. Now she just had to break Megohime and and get away before she was noticed.

Akihime then saw why Megohime’s scent smelled so diluted. It could hardly be considered Megohime, the person strapped to the gurney in the room. Pure white hair and blue eyes where the first thing she noticed, then the patchwork that was her skin and body. She hardly seemed alive at that point, only letting out a soft wheezing noise as she stared ahead with unseeing eyes.

She frowned softly, "Lord, what happened to you...?" She muttered as she moved over, "Humans are so disgusting...look what they did. Your beautiful eyes are gone...they're so ugly now..."

Megohime let out a gurgle, blood trickling down from her lips as her body rejected another set of vocal cords. She couldn’t speak or even see Akihime, but she could hear her just fine.

She scowled softly, "I can't fix this...unless I cut everything off and out..." She said before unbuckling her from the gurney and grabbing her with her kagune, heading out of the room to get out of Cochlea.

Megohime hung limply in Akihime’s Kagune, not even trying to struggle, even as her left arm sloughed off and dropped to the floor, but it wasn’t the only thing that caught her attention- a man stood in the doorway, blocking Akihime’s escape.

"Quite the clever plan you had there. Set up a distraction and then slip in to take my project. Unfortunately for you, I come here quite often."
"Get out of my way, you're much too old to be even remotely good to eat." She sneered. Matsunaga chuckled softly.
"Funny." He stated, "But I have no such plans."

Akihime finally felt Megohime squirm as Matsunaga spoke, letting out a weak whimper of fear. She could tell right away he was a rotten no good human, especially so for a Dove.

"I see." She gently set Megohime down before shooting all five of her tails at Matsunaga, the Dove smacking them away with his quinque. "Get out of my way."
"Not likely." He replied and she shot at hin, trying to get him to move.

As the two fought, Akihime was able to push Matsunaga back out of Megohime’s room and into the hallway. Something then stopped the both of them. A massive blue shape came up from behind the two, down from the lower depths of Cochlea, landing on the walkway between the two fighting. It was a woman, with long white hair and a large blue ukaku sprouting from her back almost like wings. She straightened up slowly, a blank expression on her face. It wasn’t Megohime, but another woman.

Akihime's chest suddenly felt like she had been stabbed. Her eyes twisted with pain. How could this be? Wasn't she dead?
"Amaya...?" She whispered, as if she had known her for ages.

The woman’s gaze only passed over Akihime, then to the Dove on her other side. The blue flames at her shoulders hardened back into wings, and then in one movement, she was gone, rocketing toward the ceiling without a single word.
