Mornië utúlië (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

She nodded, pausing for a moment before setting down the fish and the fishing pole. She took a moment to undo the clasp on her cloak, pulling it off and holding it out to the man. “Y-You must be cold... you can wear this if you want..” She offered, keeping her gaze away from him.

She took a quick peek after a moment to make sure he was dressed before looking at him fully, cheeks still flushed. “My house isn’t too far away, I’ll be ok for now, plus-“ Her ears burned hot. “I still have more clothes on than you even with the cloak.” She said with a slight smile, still embarrassed, but her words came out kind.

She nodded and quickly picked up her things before turning and heading back up the beach with the large man in tow. She had so many questions for him, but at the same time, she remained silent, not wanting to be rude. The house that she led him to was small, and partially consumed by a small hill- no, rather the house was built into the side of the hill. Inside a fire was already going, making inside pleasantly warm. It was much more spacious than it looked on the outside, and it was free of much clutter. “I’ll cook the fish now, please sit and warm yourself.”

He nodded and moved to the fire, sitting and using his pelt to keep himself covered in her presence. "M...Motochika desu...!" He spoke timidly

Nana had been taking the fish off of the hooks they were on when he spoke, surprising her a bit. She turned to look at him, offering a gentle smile. “Nana.”

Her expression dropped a bit, cheeks flushing as she looked back down at the fish in front of her. “Th-Thank you..” She said softly, skewering the fish before putting them over the fire to cook.

“No..! No, that’s not it at all! I was just surprised is all!” She said, moving to sit at the fire with him, warming her hands. “I’ve never been told that before..”

If he continued on this path, Nana’s face was going to cook just like the fish in front of her. “I-It’s a pretty common name!” She sputtered as she turned the fish over.

"Not in the sea.." He replied, "Every maiden has something intricate and long to describe themselves...Nana is simple and beautiful and it suits you very well.."

She stared at the crackling fire for a moment, then looked to Motochika. “Can you tell me about it...? The sea I mean!”

"It's beautiful...nothing can possibly compare to how entrancing the sea is. There's so much life and wonder...you could swim for miles and miles and always find something new.." He said wistfully.

“It sounds amazing..” She agreed, checking on the fish to see if they were cooked through yet. “Are there others? Like you I mean. Creatures that aren’t human.”

“Isn’t it dangerous to live together? How do you keep hunters away?” She asked, picking up to sticks and handing one to Motochika, blowing on the freshly cooked fish.

Nana frowned softly, a bit conflicted. She knew that if they didn’t do so, more hunters would come back and try to kill them all; it must’ve been hard. “I’m sorry people have driven you to such actions.”

"Thankfully we haven't seen very many as of late, but it is a rather stressful decision to make.." He said before eating his fish. He made a surprised noise, "I've never had cooked fish before! It's so much easier to eat!"

“You’ve never cooked your fish before?” She looked at him in surprise. “Do you not come on land often?”

She nodded and took a bite of the fish, staring down at the fire. It was weird, but not unpleasant, the fact that she was sharing a meal with a killer, and one not human at that; she had to admit though, she didn’t mind all that much though.
