"No. I will not." How else is she meant to look at their new relationship? How else does he expect her to be? Rieka no longer expects to have a mate that wants to touch her, to please her, nor does she entertain the notion of having pups of her own. No, it is best to bury such... fantasies in the past, and look on towards the future.
It was not long until the sweet scent of burning pine banished the scent of decay and rot, though it did little to ease her mind. Rieka lingered by the entrance to the cave, her eyes scanning the skies for any potential threats. His magic was impressive and saved them a bit of time and effort... but it could bring about the wrong kind of attention as well, if they are not careful. Dark green eyes glanced over his way as he spoke of her being distant, of her sharing... the ways of the werewolf, her perspective of things.
"Why?" Rieka asked, not bothering to beat about the proverbial bush. "Why do you need to make this trip about us? It is for your safety that we crossed this ravine, that we have embarked on this journey." Rieka went to join him by the fire, though she did not accept his hand of invitation... nor did she feel the need to share with him about the Pack. "You know everything that needs to be known about me, do you not?" Rieka asked, lifting her hands to the fire... eyes drawn to the flickering flames, to the colors and the hunger. "I do not know what else to tell you. I... appreciate that you wish to know more, but... I do not know what to tell you." Rieka shook her head, just to frown. "As my mate, you are now Alpha. It is the male that is Alpha. It is up to you, now, what happens next." It is ridiculous that he knows so little, and yet insists on pushing... and pushing, and pushing.
