As Kai come in with water Tidas had just finished throwing up. Though there was probably more left in him. "Yeah sure I will take it" Tidas replied reaching out to take a drink of the water. Though right after he finished, Tidas found his face buried in the toilet throwing up once again.

After another couple minutes of throwing up Tidas whipped his mouth. Panting heavily he turned to Kai and said "So why are you still here, I thought you left.... why are you back... I am sure you want nothing more to do with me, so what the hell is it?".
 
She tensed when her reached for the water afraid he might grab her, but he didn’t he took the glass. She sighed as she watched him get sick again. “I wanted to be far away from here; but when I went to the ocean it wouldn’t take me back I couldn’t change, I was forced to find shelter in a cave which turned out to be your wine stores so when I was found I was brought back to you.” Her voice be never grew harsh as she explain her store just had saddness in it “would you know any reason why the ocean would not me back?”
 
He listened to her story and said "Well aren't you lucky being brought back to me huh?". There was clearly sarcasm in Tidas's voice as he spoke. Though when she asked him about the ocean he shook his head "No I don't, I know nothing about mermaids besides what you have told me since we met. Like I told you, you are the first one I have ever met." He then stood up and sighed "If you have no place to go, there is a empty room across the hall. You can stay there until the ocean excepts you back or what ever. Just stay out of my way and eat this time is all I asked. If word spreads that I am letting my guest starve to death it will hurt my reputation."
 
Kai looked defeated as he did not know why she couldn’t return to the ocean. He was her only hope. She wasn’t sure what she like be come of her if she couldn’t return to the ocean. But then he offered her a place to stay “you mean I can stay here, but I am still free?” She was shocked and was about to agree to eat when a thought struck her. She remembered what he people were say about him being a drunk king some day. She knew that was not fair for his people to endure that “I will eat, if you won’t drink”
 
"Yeah I freed you yesterday... what the hell did you think I meant?" Tidas asked her in return to her first question. Though soon she was talking about his drinking which made his sigh "Fine, you will probably be gone in a couple days anyways.... I can hold off for that long" Tidas replied as he worked his way back to his bed and laid down in it. "Now get some breakfast, I have a headache so let me rest"
 
Kai couldn’t believe it he agreed he was she was still free. It made the situation more bareable knowing that she had her freedom. She then poured him another glass of water and set it on the table next to his bed. “Thank you” she smiled and then left him to rest knowing he was tired. As she was heading to her temporary room across the hall a servant was bring up the princes breakfast. In passing the servant as if she wanted anything to eat and she was hungry. She asked for some fruit as Kai did not eat meat. Which the servant got for her after she brought the prince’s breakfast.
 
Tidas refused his breakfast, there was no way he could eat any of that food without throwing it all up. Instead he informed the servant to assign two maids to Kai so she would be taken care of for her stay at the castle. Soon two maids came into the room, one with a large plate of fruit. One of the maids was a short blonde girl who looked to be in her late teens, the other was a dark haired woman who looked to be in her mid thirties. The dark hair woman place the plate of food before Kai then bowed before saying "My name is Savannah, we have been assigned to serve you for your stay at the Castle. Please let us know your Pallet so we can make sure you served the proper meals" The blonde bowed along with Savannah, though she did so shortly after, as if she was following Savannah's lead.
 
Kai was looking around her new room it was certainly did look like a comfortable place to stay while she was stuck here. She looked out the window and saw the beautiful view of the ocean. She was startled to see the two maids appear, she smiled politely at them. “Thank you both of you, I am really not a picky eater, I just don’t eat meat or fish of any kind. So other than that I am open. But really there is no need to bow.” She said very warmly to the two.
 
Savannah stood up staight then the blonde quickly followed. "So be it lady Kai, do you have any favorites among your food? and Selena, please introduce yourself." With that blonde maid stepped forward looking flustered, she then bowed and said "Forgive me I am Selena, it is nice to meet you lady Kai!"
 
“Really all these formalities are not needed. It’s just Kai, and as I said anything is fine” she smiled. Her own people would do the same thing to her, treating her as if she was better than them because she was a princess. To her all her people she treated the same, and she would the do the same for Tidas’s people. She grabbed a few pieces of fruit. “If it would be to much trouble I would love to take a walk.” In truth she wanted to see if the ocean was ready to take her back yet.
 
"As you wish Lady Kai" Savannah replied clearly stuck in her ways. Though Selena seemed to become very cheery and ran up to Kai saying "Yes let's go for a walk I can show you all around the Castle! You can eat while you walk!" Savannah just sighed and said "Make sure not to get into any trouble while your out with her Selena"
 
Kai bit her lip at Selena’s excitement. She was afraid if she was able to turn back into a mermaid, and Selena saw it might spell trouble for Kai. “Oh it is sweet of you really to want to show me around, but if you don’t mind I would love to look around on my own. I just need a little time to myself, if you understand.” Kai was trying to be polite as possiable to the excited girl.
 
Selena frowned but nodded before backing away and bowing "Of Course Lady Kai" she said. The two maids then left the room, though as soon as they did Tidas came into the room and said "I heard you want to walk around the place, lets go"
 
She was glad to see maids go. She ate some of the fruit in her hand but while she was chewing Tidas suddenly appeared. She figured he would be resting for most of the day after the amount of wine he had last night. She looked at him swallowing hard. “I am sorry I didn’t mean to make you get out of bed to show me around, if you would rather rest that is fine” part of her was still afraid of him, while the other part knew she needed to trust him a little while she was trapped on land.
 
He shook his head "No It just takes me some time to work my magic and get the hang over to go away. Also no offense but I don't like the idea of a stranger walking around my castle, last time I let that happen you destroyed some of my wine"
 
She looked down. “It was a mistake I was startled” she looked at him again. “I wasnt going to sneak around your castle I was just going to walk to the water, if the ocean was ready to take me back.” She bit her lip gently. She didn’t want to him mad. “If your are feeling up to it though, you can join me”
 
"Either way I do want to come with you" Tidas replied, his face and words had absolutely no emotion in it. It was almost like he was a walking emotionless man, when she mentioned returning to the ocean he just sighed and said "Yeah sure, lets see if the ocean takes you back... honestly I still have no idea what you mean by that so I would like to see for myself." With that Tidas began to escort Kai down to the ocean.
 
She followed him down the stairs and out of the castle. She didn’t know what to say to him. He was her rapist after all, he treated her like she was his whore to be used and then thrown away. But he didnt throw her away he set her free, he could have kept her longer, use her until she died, but he set her free. That one gesture weighed heavily on her mind. “Tidas......why did you let me go?” She questioned softly as they walked she didnt even realize she had asked the question outloud until she heard her own voice.
 
As they walked he just stayed quiet not saying much, just walking through the hallways ignoring the awkward silence that surround them take hold. After all he did just rape this woman last night, he didn't feel like there was much for him to say to her. Though soon she spoke up, and Tidas was forced to say something "Why not? At first I just thought you told me having sex with you would put your life at risk was a lie to keep me from having sex, when I learned it wasn't I decided not to have sex with you. Then you decided not to eat, I never wanted to kill you nor wanted you to die. So I just let you go... that's it"
 
She listen to him explain why he let her go. She was shocked really, figuring the way he treated her, he had no regard for her life, but he did. He didn’t want her to die. She was completely confused now. She stopped walking as her next question came to mind one she needed an answer for. “Why did you rape me?” She of course made sure no one was around before she asked that question. And even so she only asked loud enough for him to hear her.
 
As she stopped he kept walking until she asked him, that made him turn around and look at Kai before saying "I already answered that question for you, I wanted to make you my woman. In noble society here once a woman losing her virginity to a man she is expected to marry them. Though it seems like things are different under the sea" He then turned around and kept walking before saying "Enough questions for now, lets just get this over with so you can go home"
 
She looked down and shook her head. “Maybe where you come from women don’t value themselves as nothing more than an object to be married off, but where I come from women are very important if i was the oldest child i would inherit my fathers kingdom,” she sighed a little and shook her head. “If you didn;t think i was a worthless whore, there might have been a chance....for at least a friendship” she felt sad in tat moment and tried to shake it off. She held her head high and began walking, walking right past him.
 
"Well aren't you and your people special huh? I would prefer it if you don't look down upon my culture. Even if you don't agree with it, that is no reason to be rude. Especially to the person who is kind enough to let you stay with him." Tidas replied though soon she was walked past him and he got moving again. "Yes, thank you for reminding me of the missed opportunity. Your such a very kind person" Tidas said sarcastically as he followed behind her to the ocean.
 
She couldn’t figure him out he was being kind enough not want to see her die, but yet at the same time he was complete ass. “Maybe if you had a kind bone in your body your culture wouldn’t have to force women against there will to get them to be your woman” she felt so frustrated with him now she didn’t even know what else to say to him.
 
"Oh yeah, letting you stay free of cost, providing you with food shelter and servants to make sure all your needs are taken care of... not a kind bone in my body" Tidas replied to her comment as he followed after her.
