A Dying Breed (Leon and Nightsorceress)

Leon was starting to get worked up once more, the sight of her on her knees was starting to overpower the idea of food. There were few things that could change the track of mind but his sexual desire was one of those things as he was coming to find out. "I should." He would start to move his hands through her hair but then, he would stop. He became almost motionless, his hands slowly coming from her hair as a gust of wind would bring forth something more from the forest. He stared at the window as if it had wronged him in some way. "That mongrel." He would quickly rush to the door, almost taking it off its hinges as he would throw it open, standing out on the deck, looking over the forest as if something would catch his attention more than normal.

----

The male would come to see a building far off in the distance. It was the source of the lust in him but as he drew closer, the other would come in full scent. There was a sudden motion at the building as the Alpha appeared, the male would freeze, lips drawn back in case of an attack but he had the high ground so he began to think himself the better. The alpha had not seen him but he must have smelled him, he had made a mistake.

Alaina closed her eyes she felt his fingers run through her hair. She sighed happily, but then suddenly he was angry with something. Was it her? She stood quickly as he rushed to the door. She followed him out to the wood deck standing beside her. She looked around she saw nothing, it seemed like the perfect spring day. β€œLeon what’s the matter” she was worried in that moment. She couldn’t understand what was going on. She felt the wind again blow gently across her body, there was that smell again this time strong but she didn’t understand what it was.

Leon would stand, alert and frozen, eyes ever glaring out into the forest as if it was on fire. As Alaina came to his side, he would slowly turn his head but his eyes continued to look about the forest. "An ignorant flea bag that hasn't learned his place." He couldn't tell where the smell was in this form, not directly. He knew there was another out in the forest. Leon would raise a hand in order for it to slide behind Alaina's back and to the opposing shoulder, pulling her to his side as if to keep her from some unseen harm. Then he heard it, his head snapping in the direction of a howl.

----

The male would would watch from the safety of the forest, seeing the appearance of a human woman but when the scent hit him, his blood began to rise. It was her. She was the one, she was the other alpha. There was a snarl to curl from the wolf's lips and then it would lean its head back and let loose a howl to reveal where he was. If he was going to get the female, he needed to get rid of the Alpha on his terms.

Didn’t understand what’s he might by what he said. She looked around she couldn’t see anything. She smelled something, but it wasn’t anything like she smelled when she found Leon. His scent was intoxicating, this scent was different she didn’t feel the connection in this new smell. As he drew her closer she clung to him. Something did have him rattled. She heard the howling from the woods. β€œMaybe we should go inside, lock the door. See if it goes away” she at least hoped who ever it was would go away. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach one she didn’t understand.

Leon would turn his full attention toward the sound of the howl emitting from the forest. His body tensed with anger, the pure audacity of this runt to take a stroll where he isn't wanted. On the only day that Leon wouldn't be there to put him in his place. Leon would look to his love as she suggest they go inside and hope that it would end there. Leon would shake his head slowly "No, he wont. I have to deal with this." He would release her from his grip as he would jump to the ground, hitting it harder than normal as his body began to change just before impact, the weight obviously growing. The clothes tightening from the transformation, bursting as the mass only increased with a low growl. The alpha wolf's lips would pull back, the razor sharp teeth would become fully visible as Leon would bolt forward, galloping toward the forest to reestablish his dominance.

Alaina wanted to stop him. She wanted to draw him back to her, but she couldn’t. Who ever was out there had upset him and nothing she did could stop him. She ran back into the house running for her bedroom throwing open the closet. She struggled as she reached for a small box on the top shelf reaching it with her finger tips. She didnt have a good grip and the box can crashing to the floor, a pistol and bullets came crashing to the floor. She dropped to her knees scrambling to pick them out shoving as many bullets in the gun as she could. Her father bought her this gun the day she told him she was moving to the mountains and she never thought she would never use it but now she was glad she had it. She raced back through the house out in the door. In all her running he robe was starting to come loose but she didn’t care, all she cared about was Leon.

Leon charged toward the forest, giving no hint of slowing. It was normally something he would do just to scare away others but now that Alaina was a part of his life, there was a much greater need to drive home that these were no longer just bouts for territory. It was in this new mindset that he aimed to either maim or outright kill the male wolf. The idea of another coming close to his beloved was pushing him further and further into the anger and a more feral side. As he dove into the forest, the first mistake was made. He didn't think about any sort of tactical advantage, just the want to get rid of this problem, once and for all.

As he entered the forest, the male wolf was waiting and they instantly jumped up, both wolves slapping each over with the fronts of their paws, taking bites at one anothers necks. The male wolf being able to latch onto the back of Leon's neck, digging his fangs in. Leon would try and turn his head, continuing to snap and bite, trying to find a spot to grasp. Leon was forced down onto his fores as he finally was able to bite into the males upper leg. No matter how much one of them would move, the grip on Leon's neck seemed to be a firm hold. Leon would force the two of them against a tree, the pure power between the two would cause a snap within the tree and an obvious tilt in its stand but the two would finally break as the tree would come down between them. A small pause as a bit of blood would drop from the males teeth as they continued to snarl at one another.

She jumped from the front porch and didnt even pause her feet just ran. She didn’t seem to notice her bare feet aching as she ran over rocks and fallen branches her need to find Leon was ousting any sort of pain from her mind. She heard the sound of the tree snap and fear gripped her. She pushed herself harder, her lungs burning as she had never run this fast or this hard in her life. The front of her robe had now come undone and she made no motion to close it as she feared it would cost her percious seconds. She find made to the spot where the two her and she haulted breathing heavily. β€œLeon” she called out trying to so disbrately to catch her breath.

The two wolves would each snarl at the others movements, any motion would be met with an equal motion in the other. Leon had little care for the wound he had received, the instinct pushing it out of his mind. The only thing that was coming into his mind was the thought of removing this insolent pups throat. But, then a voice broke through the fog of murderous intent and it was visible as his ears would fire up, his head as well toward the woman whom called to him. It was in this moment that the male wolf bolted with a quickness that seemed impossible, throwing himself into Leon's chest, fangs digging into the lower throat, taking him to the ground, shaking his head violently. Leon kicked and snapped for anything that he could. He was not going to give in to this fight, not while she was watching. He needed to get him off and get a hold of his neck.

She looked at him and then screamed in horror as the other wolf attack him. She felt so helpless but she had to do something. She searched her mind and then suddenly remembered the gun in her hand. She pointed it at the other wolf but she was afraid she would hit Leon. She suddenly held the gun above her head and fired one, and then another shot. The sound was loud and startled even her, she then pointed the gun at the other wolf β€œGet out of here! Or i will shoot you!” She yelled as loud as she could and in the most demanding voice she could. She cocked the gun again in hopes to show she meant what she said.

Leon continued to shift and struggle until the loud bang would ring through their ears, a second just in case the first was not loud enough. The male would would release Leon to turn toward the sounds origin but Leon would lunge upward, biting into the wolf's leg. He could not keep a solid grip as Alaina threatened the wolf. The pain in his throat would cause him to have to let go. The male would would simply stare at the weapon she held. He knew these sorts of human weapons were dangerous but his eyes would stare passed it, directly at her. His breath heavy and heaving from the fight but from something else. He would take a step back, eyes still locked on her own, as if remembering her features to memory. Once he brushed against a branch, he would turn and disappear into the forest. He had to tell his sister of this new discovery.

Leon laid on the ground, chest heaving and a low whimper coming from his jowls. He would try and form human words but in this form, it took more focus, focus he could not give. His eyes continued to shift around in order to find her.

As the wolf looked at her she tried not show any signs of fear but it was hard. She feared this creature would come after her. She held the gun firm pointing it right at his head. He then suddenly took off and breathed a sigh of relief that is until she saw Leon. He was hurt. She raced over to him kneeling down next to him. She looked over his wounds but it was hard to really tell how bad they were with all that fur covering it. She gently touched his face. β€œWe need to get you back to the house, I am not sure i can help you get back there when you are like this.” In wolf form he was just to large for her, at least when he was human he could support himself on her.

Leon would watch as the other wolf would turn and take off. The very idea of him being near her caused him to grow angrier. Though, when she came into his sight, he began to calm, his breathing continued to move at a rapid pace but at least his mind was clear, in pain but clear. She spoke of getting him back to the house but she would be unable to do so as he was. He couldn't let her stay out here and he could not force her away. There was a faint pop within his body. He had never had to do this in such a state but she was right and there would be far less blood in doing so. The snapping would grow louder but so would the whimpers that he tried to keep in. The hair slowly falling to nothingness, his naked form finally lay there on the ground, a hand raising to hold the side of his neck. "I-I'm...s-sorry...f-for..." He would not finish as he would force himself onto his knee's. Using her help to pull himself up, it took all of his strength to get himself upright, even with her help but they needed to get back.

She hated asking him to change back. She knew it must pain him greatly to do so, and couldn’t be easy to change, but there was no other choice she needed to tend to his wounds and she couldn’t
do so in the forest. As he tried to tell he was sorry she shook her head β€œthere is nothing you need to be sorry for you hear me the only thing you need to worry about is getting back to the house and getting better.” She did the best she could to support him but he was big and heavy. She never once let it show as the made it back to the house. She felt a sense of relief when she saw the house come into view and she used all her strength to push the last few steps forward to the house.

Leon held onto to many things at this point. His ability to walk, his consciousness, his own blood seemed to want to leave him. Her voice seemed to give him strength, just hearing her speak would cause him to force another foot forward. His brain pushing himself to stay awake in order to hear another word from her lips. He could barely see much as he felt that keeping his eyes open was far harder than it had ever been in the past. He would continue by her way alone, her body seemingly speaking to his own to carry on, to take that one more step. To show her the strength he had as an alpha. To be able to be worthy of the bond between them, once they made it to the house, once inside he felt his legs growing weak, almost giving way beneath him.

She could feel him weaken as the entered the house. β€œJust a few more steps ok then you be in the bedroom and I can help with your wounds. Just stay with me” she tried to speak as calmly as she could but she was afraid of loosing him. She pushed the last few steps to the bedroom and eased him down on the bed. β€œIll be right back” Alaina didnt want to leave his side but she knew she had too. She raced into the bathroom. She ripped open the medicine cabinet looking for anything she had to help, bandages, gauze, antispectic, she knocked everything else out of the way. She also grabbed some clean wash clothes and then went to the kitchen for some water. SHe carried this all back to the bedroom

The power that was usually so fierce and primal had come to fade in his eyes as they would enter the home. The only time a flicker of life would come to him was her voice, it was the light in the darkness. Both for its brilliance and for the warmth it seemed to provide to him in this time. He would feel himself coming down and it was a release. His body would come down like a sack of bricks but the bed felt like feathers or what he would assume a cloud would feel like. As she left, he felt himself just a bit colder, like she took the warmth of the world with her. His eyes would force themselves open, staring at the ceiling intently. He would not die here as he felt he had come across so much before that tried to do the same.

It was now a fight after the fight, one that he refused with her being there. She returned and with his, his eyes would come to find her. "I...am going...nowhere..." This was a mix of an answer from earlier, seemingly lagging in his response but another part of it was a statement, standing firm in his proud ways. His breathing would become tight, as if he was forcing himself to become steady. He knew not what she was doing but he knew that, ever since he met her, he would give her everything, even his life at this point.

She placed the water and the other supplies on the night table next to the bed. She looked down at him her heart breaking seeing him like this. She wanted to cry but she had to stay strong. She kissed his forehead before her hands went to work tending to the wound. She first cleaned them with water and cloth. She examined them as she did. They were powerful wounds and part of her wondered if she should bring him to the hospital. But then they would ask how he got the wounds and she had no way of explaining them. Once cleaned she applied antispectic on them. She knew it would probably sting but she didn;t have a choice. She then took the gauze and put it on the wounds wrapping it with the bandage making sure there was enough pressure to stop the bleeding but not so much to hurt him. β€œThere all done, just rest” she said in a soothing voice, hold his hand in hers now.

Leon would feel the sting and discomfort of the medicine she was placing upon him. It was her hands, most of all that he tried to keep in his mind, the feeling, even through the pain and blood, that brought him solace. His teeth would clench tightly against the antiseptic as it stun like a thousand bees aiming for the wound. His hands would tightly grip the bed sheets, the wish to transform was there, wishing to run away from the pain if he was able. But she kept him there, she was the anchor that would keep him sane. When she had finished, the wrapping pressed against his skin tightly, her words fluttering to his mind. He would let his lips part but there were no words, his hand finding ease in her own. He would take that feeling with him as he let himself find sleep.

----

The male would would come slowly to a trot, only coming to a stop just before the cave that held his sister. He would look down, his mouth coming to the wound that he had taken from the Alpha, licking what he could before limping into the cave.

She waited until he feel a sleep before she found herself crying softly. She felt like she let this happen to him. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if something were to happen to him. He was the piece of her that was missing her entire life. She watched him sleep but she knew she needed to pull herself together. After a moment she rose from the bed and went to the bathroom turning on the shower letting it run before stepping into it. She let the water run over her body trying to relax so she could return to his side and be strong for him. She washed just stood there before finally shutting off the water. She dried with a towel and then returned to the bedroom to check on him. She climbed into the bed next to him seeing that he was still breathing. She laid beside him holding him to her.

β€”-
When her brother returned the female stood. She could smell the blood. She ran to her brother β€œwhat happen?”

Leon would rest, the pain starting to become such a constant that it was almost forgettable. He dreampt of darkness, simply nothing before him and nothing behind. He could hear the sounds of rain off in the distance but felt none of it. He looked down at himself, half covered in fur and the other a human hand. The darkness would slowly start to fade into a light, a warmth against him, he didn't see himself anymore, he didn't care too. The warmth he felt was more than enough for him.

-----
The male wolf would come to sit in front of his sister, licking his would before speaking. "Alpha. We fight." He would let out a snort. "Hurt worse. Another." He would turn his attention to his sister. "Female. Together. We take them." The very idea seemed baffling but if they were to divide and concur the two from one another, it would be a life for them both, finally. The male did not need to like what his sister did, it was the woman that he wanted.

As Alaina lay beside him, she reached down bring the covers up around them both. Making sure he was nice and warm. Her body remained pressed against him. She felt like he needed her there to heal, it as an instinct she didn’t understand but some how she knew he would do better with her there then if she would leave him alone. She wrapped her arm across his body. She yawned softly and her eyes growing heavy. She fell softly a sleep beside the man she loved.

__

Her ear perked when her brother mention the alpha and his women. Finally they chance they had been waiting for, β€œwe must wait until they are separated” she knew it was foolish for either one to try to pursue them when they were together. It would easier for them to break their bond if they alone.

Leon's body seemed to press itself closer to Alaina, just being near him made the pain fade in the light of her warmth. Even in his unconsciousness, he was drawn to her. It was an odd feeling, actually wishing nothing more than to be close to another. He had resigned his fate to more years of lonesomeness, the wind and moon becoming ever closer friends than ever before. A single moment in time, that was all it took to turn him. To be so entirely given to another, not a single question in his mind about it, nay a doubt to be found. It was nature, it was divine in its perfection. Through the pained lips, a small corner of his lips would pull upward, a smile that showed he was truly content, even now.

-------------------

The male would snort and continue to lick his wounds. "Alpha wont be moving." The male was sure that he wouldn't be after the wounds inflicted, there might be the chance that he would die from them. That was what he was aiming for and while it would leave his sister without a mate, it would make his own pursuit a lot easier. "He may live."

Time ticked by slowly seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours. She held him close to her body as if to will her strength on to him. She remained that way for hours, until the phone range it stirred her from her sleep and with a grumble she rolled over to look at her caller ID. It was her mother. She was in no mood to talk to her right now and she sent the call to voice mail and then shot her a text β€œwill call u later” she placed the phone back down and then looked to Leon who was sleeping next to her. She smiled, he was still breathing and there was no pain on his face. She wanted to check his wounds but didn’t want to wake him. For now she would let him sleep.

β€”-

β€œYeah he hurt you bad” she motioned her head to his wounds. β€œIf he lives it wont be an easy fight, unless you can convince the female to go with you” she suggested to her brother. She hoped the aplha would live and the female would go for her brother it would make her move so much easier.

There was a sudden shift in his little world, the ringing of something but it would fade just as quickly as it had came. His dreams would slowly begin to fade as an eye would peer open, looking around. He had seen this area before, it was the bedroom of his love. He wasn't sure how he got here but it felt...pleasant. He could feel her warmth mixing with the softness of the bed. His body felt like it was being weighed down by the world so moving was not going to happen. His throat began to heat as he thought of talking, the wound not allowing this at the time or he would surely pay for it. That was all put aside as he looked to see her, laying there by his side. She had not left him. She was there, as well as he could assume.

------------------

"I will live." He would shift himself away from her. It was humiliating enough having to run from being so close to killing the Alpha after so long. But he could not try and fight the Alpha female. He needed to get her. He Had to have her. "We must get downwind. Watch them. Wait. Catch one. The other goes in then."
