What's Your Username Mean?

There's some variation in the exact meaning, but "Eudaimonia" is a Greek philosophy term essentially meaning "good spirit" and is the ideal of highest human good! I've also seen it used as an ultimate state of happiness or luck, but I mostly just love how the word sounds <3

'Zephyr' means a gentle or mild breeze. That was taken, though, so why not add an 'a'? It's feminine, mysterious, dignified, other adjectives that make me sound cool, etcetera etcetera.

I’ve always been fond of original usernames.
Back in 2014-15, I used to frequent a website called Chatango and buy original usernames and sell them for mega money. I’ll never forget selling Sun & Moon for $300. 🤭

Anywho, I was playing League of Legends and saw someone with ‘Ironic’ as their username. I was instantly in love.

It’s short, simple, sweet, and it just makes sense for me.

Plus, it makes me feel giddy whenever someone sees the word ironic and I automatically come to mind. 🥰

My first name - Saber Arturia, was a reference to the Fate series by Type-Moon.

My current name, Revelations, was my attempt at an original name that I hadn't used elsewhere before. There's no deeper meaning other than me liking the word.

It’s explained on my bio, but I’ll say it again. My username stems from the lockdowns happening in 2020 because of the Coronavirus. I also liked the name Grimlock & Lockdown from the Transformers series. So I chose “Lockdown” as my username.

Mine is pretty self explanatory. I have quite a lot piercings on my body and I didn’t want my first name out there for all to see.

There are plenty of others who have far more piercings than me, but I figured no one here would make something similar as their profile name lol.

I am a fan of one word names, and this is the username I generally use in a lot of the games I play or did play at the time like League of Legends.

I enjoy going through various different histories and Roman history is one of my favorite things and while learning I found then name Pontiff, which generally means a bishop of Rome but in modern day it generally means the pope which doesn't sound as cool. Thus I made my name Pontiff because I was looking for a one word name and it has stuck with me ever since. Though a lot of people assume it is a reference to Dark Souls 3 when gaming, and even sometimes in the past with inquiring private messages.

I've never been great with coming up with usernames, so it took me longer than I want to admit to come up with this one. I knew I wanted something unique to this site to keep this part of my online identity separate from my more SFW personas. I knew if I tried to come up with something 'cool' or 'suave' or 'sexy' I'd create something so cringeworthy that I'd immediately want to delete the account and be haunted by its memory until I breathed my last.

So I picked one of the odd animals I like and that I could find a cute profile picture for, and here I am. It was either this or a jumping spider lol.

Hey! Doc here. I was mulling about this today about the origins of my name. Dr. Nibbles was not always a doctor. At first she was a he and was a Daemon Prince of Chaos.

(Ignore the images atop) This is what his model looked like. Now If you're not familiar with Warhammer, demon prince are traditionally large creatures with big wings, wepaons and teeth. This guys was the size of my thumb nail and nibbled his way into my heart.

Some months passed and I took on the Handle Lord Nibbles... eventually turning to Mr. Nibbles for more formal places. And evenually I transitioned and wanted a more androgynous handle, but still maintaining the class true to the Dark Lord: thusly, Dr. Nibbles.

So do any of you have any intereting stories to tell? Or maybe you just want to shed the light on your name? Lets spill some beans.
Vanity Fair is a classic novel and probably my favorite british book of all time. Thackeray's world still captivates me to this day and Becky Sharp remains one of my all time favorite characters.

Likola means adorable little lady with a penchant for peril.

(Really, it's just my character's name)

So there's a couple different reasons behind shadowkitten.

I met a really cute black kitten at a cat café once and felt a distinct connection. We played together almost exclusively the entire time I was there and I wished I could adopt her. Later the staff told me that she was new to the place, and the other kittens were aggressive towards her and so she mostly stayed in the shadows. I've felt a bit like that most of my life, not really accepted for who I am and afraid to come out of the shadows. So it's partly a way to remember her and my past. :)

The other reason, I love contrasts. Shadows often symbolize mystery, stealth, quietness. Kittens often symbolize innocence, playfulness, vulnerability and affection. Sometimes I feel my kitten side is hidden in my shadows. So it's partly to represent who I am, or at least who I think I am. :p

It was supposed to be like a slot machine of fandoms since if I have a lot of range and a lot of interests.

A mysterious poison of unknown qualities and chemical makeup once used by the Borgias, often considered to be the world's first mob family.
It suits me, I think.

One of my first Super Villain characters that I made and wrote as on City of Villains was called Delryth. A hulking eight-foot tribal powerhouse who got his powers from some kind of cursed shrine that he resorted to to defend his home. After claiming the power he took on the name of the demon or cursed spirit that gave him his power, Delryth. It kind of just stuck.

I later found out a devil on Runescape is also called Delryth... so a few people have thought it's from that.

Mine stems from my injury prone nature. Silver sulfadiazine, a topical antibiotic used to treat burns, and medical sutures are the inspiration behind the alliterative username I use.

Owls are my favorite animal, so I usually like to create user names that have them in there. In the case with this sites purpose, I like to think of an owl with a pen scribbling stories down haha.

Vailed In Black...speaks for itself. Pretty blatant ...I prefer to be cloaked in darkness overall anything else. Even if I used the wrong form of Vailed. It should have been Veiled that I put in there. But I didn't think that asking for another name change would do it very well.
