What is Life's Greatest Illusion? ~*1x1 Sengoku/Skyrim rp for DarkMudkip and Jikkah*~

Amaya ran as hard as she could, her heart racing as they hurried down the path and toward a back gate, one they'd have to squeeze themselves under. "Hurry!" She managed out between breathes, the barking getting louder and louder.

Sildriel pushed halfway the bars before one of the hounds bit his ankle hard. He gasped and gripped the bars as they started tugging him back, "Go! Be free!! Leave me and run!!" He yelled at Amaya, not wanting her to get beaten or worse.

"No!" Amaya grabbed his wrists and tried her hardest to pull Sildriel free of the hounds, throwing her pack at them to try and distract them, but it was all in vain. Another hound attacked the young girl, biting down on her arm and dragging her away from Sildriel, five guards rounding the corner and heading for the children.

"Go, please!" He yelled and used his magicka to smack the hound off Amaya, "Run, dammit!" "Come here, you little bastard." One of the guards grabbed Sildriel and pulled him up, the boy struggling hard and swearing loudly in Bosmeri.

Amaya staggered to her feet, something shiny in hand, then she lurched forward and charged at the guard. "Let him go!" She snapped, aiming the small dagger she had stolen at the break in his armor. Before her blade could get close to the guard holding Sildriel, she was knocked to the ground by another guard, and they easily seized the blade and subdued her.
"Let's get these two back." The guard said, pulling Amaya to her feet.

"Leave her alone, let her go, you disgusting Nord pigs!!" "Shut the hell up, you little brat." They took Sildriel back to Urlthor's estate. As he was brought to his master, he was shocked to see his mother standing beside him, her head lowered. "Lilisina came to me saying you were planning to escape. I was hoping she would be wrong." Urlthor said. Sildriel's face held the ultimate betrayal. "Mother...?" His voice cracked and she looked ashamed. "I'm so sorry, Sildriel..." She said softly. He stared at her in shock, even as he was dragged down to the cells.

When Sildriel was taken to his home, so was Amaya, but the only thing she could think about was Sildriel.

Two days went by and with Sildriel being locked away in the basement of Urlthor's estate, which meant he had no idea as to what fate Amaya was left to.
With only a small amount of light coming in from under the door, Sildriel was in almost complete darkness, until the basement door softly creaked open. Barely audible footsteps could be heard making their way toward Sildirel's cell, the scent of fresh baked bread filling the small cell.
"Sildriel..?" It was Amaya, and she had brought some bread and a candle stick. Lighting the candle, she illuminated the both of them, showing she was holding a loaf of bread.

Amaya had bruises on her arms and legs, and her lip was split, but she still had that bright light in her eyes whenever she saw him. "And neither should you, but yet we are." She pushed her hand through the bars and held out the loaf to Sasuke, it was still warm from the oven, and it smelled faintly of meat and potatoes as well. "I brought you something to eat."

"I'll be fine, I promise." She looked down at the candle and made a soft noise. "I wouldn't have left you behind to be free." She held her hands up to the small flame for some warmth.
"I love you." She whispered, her words almost being drowned out by the noise of the basement door slamming open, making Amaya jump and hurry to put out the candle.

"Who in Oblivion are you, how did you get here?!" It was Urlthor, and he had come down to torment Sildriel but found the girl he was trying to leave with. "Leave her alone, you fat Nord pig!!" Sildriel snapped. Urlthor glared before grabbing her arm and twisting it so hard that it snapped.

Amaya let out a scream of agony and stumbled away from Urlthor, cradling her broken arm with tears in her eyes. Giving Sasuke a glance that showed pain and guilt, she tried running for the door to escape, if only from Urlthor.

The massive Nord slammed the door hard on her hand when she gripped the door frame to kee from tripping. Sildriel felt his heart drop into the pit of his stomach.

There was an audible crunch as the door crushed her hand, and Amaya dropped to her knees with another scream. Her hand was still stuck in between the door and the frame, and with both arms now crippled, she had no way to try and open the door, or defend herself.

Urlthor grabbed her and threw her to the floor in front of Sildriel, taking the thick oak rod he had brought with him before he began beating her with it. "Stop!" Sildriel shouted, rushing to the bars, "Leave her alone!"

Amaya cried out with each blow, and each time she tried to crawl away, she was only beat back down. One strike that landed on the side of her face hit her so hard, it knocked a molar from her mouth and sent it skittering into Sildriel's cage, covered in blood and with part of the root still attached.

"Stop it!!" Sildriel shouted and shot a small fireball at Urlthor, which did in fact make him stop - though it did make him even angrier. His attention was on Sildriel now and that's just what the boy wanted.

Amaya lay face down on the floor, scalp split open and blood pooling around her head from the wound, her crushed hand was obviously no longer of any use. Her other arm was swollen and bruised around her forearm where the break had been, but none of that compared to the fact that she couldn't be seen breathing.

Urlthor ripped the cell door open and Sildriel panicked, casting something - anything - that would help him escape. He got his wish, his bkdy becoming fully invisible. Using Urlthor's mometary frozen shock, Sildriel ducked under Urlthor's legs and scooped up Amaya, rushing out as quick as he could.

Amaya lay crumpled in Sildriel's arms, her mouth and nose bloodied and her split scalp would need stitches, as for her hand; it couldn't be saved.

Sildriel got her to Lilisina, she being the best healer he knew, "Mom! Mom, please! Don't let her die!" He was practically in tears. Lilisina gasped in horror and gestured to the bed, Sildriel laying Amaya down gently and Lilisina getting to work quickly. Sildriel locked the door and baracaded it, hoping to keep his master out long enough for his mother to fully heal his friend.

Amaya lay still on the bed for several moments before her chest began to slowly rise and fall, then she began to cough, spitting up a small amount of blood. Her eyes opened, and stared ahead blankly at the ceiling, mouth agape to show her blood-stained teeth. "Sildriel..?"

"I'm right here, don't worry.." He said gently. There was a pounding on the door, causing Lilisina to tremble in fear. "Sildriel!! I know you're in there!!" Urlthor shouted. "Y-You must go.." Lilisina told Amaya, "Please...I won't be able to heal you again if he breaks the door."

Amaya struggled to sit up and groaned in pain, getting to her feet and stumbling to the window. With her broken arm healed, though not set correctly, she opened the window and hurried out. She looked back at Sildriel, then hurried back to her home.
