*I...* Jen says, before switching to common for Nicole's benefit. "I suppose I might as well listen to my instinct and trust you. Lead on-and thank. For saving Hanna's life."

Hanna

She took in Mia and immediately liked her nervous nature - it was so innocent as to be heartwarming. Had she been less tired she might have been more gaurded but she had already decided to trust the elves, they had after all saved them from wolves by all appearances.

*Hello Mia, I for one am happy to meet you* she offered with a warm smile, "Jen had you told me your kin were in the area we might have planned this better" she teased, "I think it is safe to say that they saved me at the least so I am trusting them - and Lenthir is probably right about them coming back if we go it alone".

"Let's go! I have so many questions!" Nicole cheered forgetting her no sudden movements vow to pull out a notepad.

"Perfect," Lenthir grins, beckoning and turning to leave. "We'll show you the way. Normally, we'd have to blindfold you, but you're half-eleven, if I guess right?" he looks inquiringly at Jennifer. "Since you're of the Old Blood, you and your friends have the right to know the path." The fact that he can tell Jen is half-even is a bit of a surprise, since hardly any humans you've met have ever noticed.

As you set off, Lenthir cups his hands over his mouth and whispers something unintelligible into them, then turns to face west, spreads them palms up in front of his mouth, and blows gently, as though scattering something to the wind.

You recognize the act as a spell of message.

A few minutes pass, and soon, other elves begin to emerge from the trees, falling into step beside you. Twenty join your group, all clad in finely-crafted furs and protective hides like Lenthir and Mia, and carrying bows of the same make. Two come up beside Lenthir, and the three hold a brief, muttered conversation in their own language. One of the newcomers points toward another near the back of the party, clutching a wounded arm that stains his clothes dark with blood; besides that, there seem to be no injuries. The hunters talk little, and in hushed tones. None address you, though many curious and fascinated looks are sent your way.

"So," Lenthir half-whispers as his compatriots depart and he falls in line with Nicole, "what did you want to ask? We've got a few minutes before we reach the village. Just keep quiet--we prefer not to draw attention when we move." The almost eerie silence with which the elves move on the snow and undergrowth lends credence to his words.

Hanna

If the hunters were being silent she felt she should be also, even so she fell into step closely beside Mia and whispered *I don't know much about elves - unfortunately, any customs I should know before we arrive* it was mostly just to see how the woman would react and guage what kind of woman she was, but improving her elvish was a good cause also.

Hanna

Mia looks surprised and more than a little confused. *Oh...well, I'm not sure what to tell you,* she shrugs. *I don't really know anything about humans. You're only the second group ever to come to Galana since I was born. I don't know what you're used to being different.* She trails off awkwardly, looking apologetic.

Nicole

"Not quite," Lenthir answers, chuckling. "The oldest person I've ever known was Dirhel, the old tanner, and he was a hundred and eighty-six when he died." He quirks an eyebrow. "How many hundreds of years did you think we lived?"

"About half a millennium." Nicole notes, as she puts down that an elf claimed that her livelyhood figures were off.

"And I'm guessing by the hunters, you eat meat?"

Hanna

She grinned at the elf girl *well that is fair - guess everything will be new to me* her grin got wider *and if I do something weird it can be chalked up to human weirdness*.

Putting a hand delicately on Mia shoulder - it was important to get the woman used to physical contact - she again used a hushed whisper to avoid carrying in the still night *I will say that I have met more elves that you have met humans* she confided *I found them to be passionate and gentle people* looking the elf maiden in the eyes *but I don't want to stereotype - can you tell me, do you think you are passionate and gentle?* she wasn't sure about flirting across language and species lines, but she felt that unlike Vera if the elf was game they could have a pleasant fairly low energy night together - which the elf would remember regardless.

Hanna

Mia doesn't shy away from the touch, and doesn't seem at all surprised or bothered. She does, however, look even more confused at your question. *Uh...I don't know. I guess it never occurred to me to think about it.* She's silent for a second. *So where have you met other elves? We mostly keep to ourselves around here. Is it different in other places?*

Nicole

Lenthir looks at you like he's wondering if you're alright in the head. "Uh, yeah. Doesn't everyone?"

Hanna

*I haven't met many - elvish is a beautiful language and many people of means in the realm enjoy the sound of it* her smile turned to indicate a hidden joke *even if those same people fail to understand it* she joked.

*I don't have a lot of experience with elves - up north we have stories but it is mostly myth, but in the south I encountered some at times traveling the land for the same reason as I do now: adventure* shrugging *as I showed an interest in learning what they had to teach - they helped me learn the language, along with some other things* she whispered coyle *though I imagine to you it sounds like I am mangling it* this was delibrate self deprecation she knew that while her manner of speach was not the same as a elfs she had learned her lessons well.

Looking over at Jen - a look that almost screamed 'I call this one' she smiled ruefully *I am sure I don't know what you mean*, still Jen might be right she noted she was tired and had no real idea about elves in there natural environment - something the half elf might know well *just want to get to know our hosts better - so that I don't earn their ire*, she quirked her eyebrow to make the question clear - was she treading on dangerous ground by breaching elvan etiquette?

*So Mai - how long have you been a hunter, any run ins with the White Wolves, it is curious they are this far south* better to be somewhat professionaly - and get to know the woman a bit better as a person.

Hanna and Jennifer

*Oh, no,* Mia shakes her head at Hanna. *You're speaking it just fine. I mean, your accent sounds foreign, but you're a lot better than I am at your language.*

She favors Jen with a friendly and slightly nervous smile when she cuts in before turning back to Hanna. *I've been a hunter about twenty years, I guess. The wolves have been here since way before that, but we hardly ever saw them, and they never bothered us. That only started when the winter did.* She shrugs uncertainly. *If anyone knows why, I haven't heard about it.*

She's silent again for a bit, then gives you a curious look. *Are you flirting with me?* Her tone is matter-of-fact, not seeming the least bit surprised or uncomfortable at the prospect.

Hanna

*I would be happy to help you learn some* she offered for her own language, she wasn't the best teacher but she felt she might be able to help a bit *if you want that is - might help you if you ever travel further a field*.

She was kindof taken aback at the idea that this woman had been doing her role for longer than Hanna herself had been alive *you must be very skilled* she offered. She had been worried she had been hitting on a member of the tribe only recently into adulthood - which was fine, but could be looked poorly upon.

First Vera and now Mia - maybe she was developing a taste for older women, she mused, even if perhaps as not well travelled as herself.

Mia's blunt question caught her somewhat off guard and she was tempted to be coy - but so far the elves had been a somewhat direct people not prone to language games, and so she was to worn out to play them - meeting the elfs eyes again *yes* it was simple and direct with no hint of an apology for it, how the woman reacted would be telling - hopefully not with lethal combat, but perhaps a mock duel could be fun. It had gotten herself and Vera in the mood the night before after all.

Still she was worried she might have just made a fool of herself - but nothing hunted nothing captured as they said.

"I was always told that elves lived off of photosynthesis." Nicole explained.

"I've never met elves before." She added.

Hanna and Jennifer

*Oh, well, I'm flattered.* Mia blushes a little, but still just seems happy rather than embarrassed. *You could've just asked, though. I'd be happy to bond later, if you end up staying long enough.* Considering that word for "bond" in Elven means any kind of sex that can't produce children, the fact that she says this so suddenly and casually is surprising. It occurs to you that the stories of elves being more open and free-spirited about sex than humans might be more true than most people think.

Nicole

"Foe-toe-sin-tha-sis," Lenthir sounds out, his brow furrowed in confusion. "What's that? I don't know that word."

*Are all elves so free with bonding?* Jen asks. Mentally, she reprimands herself, thinking Now is not the time to be thinking with your dick, Jennifer!

Hanna

*Ha, wow. Beautiful, pleasant and direct* she beamed *many humans have elaborate rituals of seduction and innuendo to follow - nice rituals I admit to pass the time but sometimes it is nice to meet someone direct*, had she been less tired she might have felt a but disappointed as the trill of the chase being lost - but as it was she was fully content with the arrangement.

*So tell me - this Siani* she quizzed *what is she like?*, the title eldest implied old and if Mia was a hunter for twenty years old might mean very - even in her own tribe the elders could be difficult for people that knew them *cranky, demanding, kind, clear headed, all and more*.

Lenthir might not be telling them things but Mia might spell the beans a little on what to expect.

Hanna and Jennifer

Mia looks puzzled at Jen's question, and frowns when Hanna explains further. *That's...weird. If you want to have sex with someone, why not just ask?* She looks a little relieved at the change of subject, evidently happy to be back on something she understands. *Siani's a good woman. I've never known her not to try to be friends with someone. And she's usually right about important things.*

Nicole

Lenthir opens his mouth to answer, but then stops himself, grinning. "See for yourself," he says, pointing up ahead. "We're here."

All of a sudden, you all realize that the snow is gone, and the air is no longer cold. Instead, the undergrowth around you is green and thriving, the weather as warm as the late spring everywhere should be enjoying right now. Ahead, light shines between the trees, a cheerful, sunny yellow glow unlike that of torches or lanterns. The source quickly turns out to be a kind of flower, a bit like a lily, with patterns on their petals that somehow give off light, growing on creeping vines you start to see on the trees as you approach the village.

Galana reveals itself to be comprised of simple shelters formed by stretching hide tarps between the branches and trunks of the trees, many of which have grown in odd shapes that accommodate the village's layout. The trunks are spaced wider apart here, the ground flatter and mostly clear of other plants and debris; the glowing flowers seem to grow freely, casting dim but comfortable light on the whole place. The shelters vary greatly in size, and while some of the larger ones have other tarps hung around the outside to form walls, most are left open; beneath, the inhabitants have covered the ground with fur rugs and mats, and left various tools, cooking utensils, and other domestic detritus like you'd find in any human dwelling strewn about, though most of it seems to be made from wood, stone, or bone rather than metal. In a few places, fires burn in stone rings, placed where their smoke can drift upwards freely.

Perhaps surprisingly this late, most of the village seems to still be awake. As the procession of hunters with you at the center passes, they glance up from their chores and conversations, looking at you with great surprise and curiosity. No one calls out to you, but you catch sight of much whispering and muttering. Like Lenthir, Mia, and the others you've met, the elves look mostly the way you've heard them described: shorter than you and thin of build, their skin varying from tan to fair (mostly the former, here), their hair mostly black or dark brown, their features beautiful in a way but definitely not human, with their overlarge eyes, thin lips and eyebrows, and, of course, sharply pointed ears. A few children are in evidence, sticking close to the adults, but none are visibly old. While the hunters' clothes are covering and protective, you can't help but notice most of the others wearing considerably less--many are completely naked (showing that the lack of facial hair on the men also extends to the rest of their bodies), seemingly unconcerned with the fact, and nearly all show a lot more skin than you'd see in any human settlement in this part of the world. The famously candid attitude the elves are said have about sex is further confirmed, too. Once, you pass a pair of women in casual conversation under a shelter, one stabbing a sewing needle into something in her lap while her friend lies on her back with her skirt pulled up and plays with her clit. They look up to watch you intently as you go by, but the masturbating woman doesn't stop. Further in, a man and a woman are nude and fucking in the open air, the woman on all fours while her partner holds her hips and thrusts into her from behind. As you pass, he pulls out, his cock twitching and shooting a stream of cum onto her back; they stare calmly back at you the whole time, as though it's the most normal thing in the world.

The village seems small, because soon, your escorts stop outside the biggest shelter you've seen, one of those with walls obscuring the inside. Lenthir beckons to you and pushes open the entrance flap, ducking his head a little to fit inside. *Siani!* he calls out. *The foreigners are here.*

Hanna

Looking around the village she turned to Jennifer "this explains so much about you", despite her background she was still a bit dubious about overt public displays of affection and nudity outside of controlled circumstances ... she had not pushed Jennifer on wearing pants or a skirt as it seemed to be a conversation that went nowhere.

But this elf village was something out of a story - a story she was dubious about until now. No wonder elven adventures enjoyed brothels - it made them feel at home.

Returning to Mia's question, *for some it is the trill of the chase - I am not a hunter but I imagine that a deer showing up on your door is less exhilarating than hunting it down?* shrugging *seduction is effectively the art of the hunt between two predators - the foreplay before the main event so it were* she smiled.

A thought occured to her - would Mia have her own area where they could have privacy, or would it be expected under the trees visible to all, she wasn't sure she was comfortable with that tired as she was, particularly if they attracted company.

Before following Lenthir she gently pulled Mia close and kissed her softly on the lips *hope to meet your later, for some private fun* she smiled as she pulled away and entered the shelter.

Nicole manages to ignore most of the elves charms.

Although one particulary curvy elf does kinda draw her eye. Maybe she'd see if that girl wanted to SCIENCE later.

She muses to herself as she walks into Hanna.

"Huh! Oh sorry." She pipes up.

Hanna

Turning to Nicole with a smile she reached up and gently patted her on the head, "glad to hear it" she said affectionatly. The woman was somewhat absent minded - but than so was Jennifer and herself if she was honest, part of the charm of the group in her view "see something you liked?" she took a guess at what had distracted her this time.
