"Hm?" The Italian looked up at her ginger friend and made a noise, "Yes?"

"Are you okay?" She asked softly, hand on Carmina's knee. "I'm worried about you.."

"I'm fine..." She muttered, looking back down, "Titans..."

 

[Jikkah]

"You aren't fine..!" Meara said, taking Carmina's hand. "Carmina, look at me..!"

Carmina looked at her with lifeless blue eyes, "Its just the Titans, Meara..."

"I know... Gods do I know... Maybe you need to go rest." She said. "You don't look so good."

"For the hundreth time, I'm fi-!" "Carmina Fiore?" She looked up ans her lungs froze. Alessa's captain stood there, frowning worriedly, "Did Alessa make it...? She didn't report back." He asked. Carmina lowered her gaze quickly as her broken heart broke more. She numbly shook her head, "N...No...Alessa...Alessa was felled by...by a 17-meter class Titan..." "I see...I'm terribly sorry." "I don't want to hear it." Carmina said lowly

Meara flinched when Carmina snapped at her, but she understood why. Ronan had been the same way, even though they had both lost their father, Ronan had watched the Titan rip him appart.

The captain left and Carmina ran her fingers through her choppy hair

Meara reached up and touched Carmina's soft hair, a soft frown on her face. "Why don't I cut it for you? It's a bit choppy right now."

"I'll fix it if I have the time..." She muttered, "I don't care how it looks at this point in time..."

Meara nodded and sat beside her, taking her hand and holding it, giving her a reassuring smile. "You're gonna be okay."

Meara frowned softly but didn't say anything else, staying with Carmina.

"What do you think they'll do to Eren?" She asked

Meara made a face. "I... I don't know." She dropped her voice to a whisper. "But he came out of that Titan... What does that mean..?"

"A human controlling a Titan...its unheard of..." She muttered

"I-I don't know... I hope he's okay though..." She said softly, keeping her eyes downcast.

"They'll probably kill him, Mikasa and Armin..." She muttered

"Carmina..!" Meara looked to her friend. "Don't say that! That's a horrible thing to say!"

"The truth hurts..." Carmina mumbled bitterly

Meara looked at Carmina stunned that her friend was so bitter, but she simply fell silent, looking down at the ground.

Carmina drew her knees to her chest, "Sorry..."

"Don't be sorry... I understand." She said softly. "I just worry about you."
