Sorry, but... No save.

Xanivus wakes up with the cleric of the Silver Flame hovering over him. "Good, you've awakened. Your weapons have already been returned. "Thanks for the fight." Xanivus hears Irvine say to him from the side. "Much better than I hoped for."

Xanivus wakes up with the cleric of the Silver Flame hovering over him. "Good, you've awakened. Your weapons have already been returned. "Thanks for the fight." Xanivus hears Irvine say to him from the side. "Much better than I hoped for."

"It was a good fight Irvine you were a worthy opponent" Xanivus goes to shake Irvines hand

Irvine accepts the handshake with a light grin, far less manic then the one he gave in battle. "You are too. If you need an extra blade for something, look me up. I usually stay at the Raging Dragon. They've got a good burger there." Irvine said, before walking out.

Xanivus thinks to himself "I know he was able to beat me because I am no warrior, but with someone that powerful that can help me out I'll be unstoppable". Xanivus leaves the arena. He decides he will rest for the day because he just had a rough battle.

The return to the Vagrant Vampire is without incident, and a bit of rest does Xanivus some good.

Roll Gather Information, and Knowledge Local to find a job for the day, if you wish.

There apparently is someone wishing to make trip to the Mournlands, and is offering treasure for an escort. They're staying at the Silver Phoenix inn.

(I never said it was a man...)

Xanivus reaches the Silver Phoenix, a high scale inn. The man at the front points him at a table with a single occupant when Xanivus asks about the job. A woman is at the table, writing on parchment, with several papers spread about. She has dark red hair in a pixie cut, wearing a dark blue tunic. She has a variety of items on her, and the way some glow, at least part of them are magic. She seems focused on whatever she is writing.

(Crap sorry I made an assumption)

Xanivus approaches the woman "I hear you are looking for an escort. If so i would like to help you out."

The woman doesn't look up for several moments, too into on finishing whatever she is working on. Then she sighs, and and shakes as if to loosen some things. She finally looks at Xanivus. Her eyes are a clear green, and study Xanivus intently. "I intend to go into the Mournlands for an extended period of time, a few weeks. I hope to delve into a ruin that has more than likely been taken over by squatters of some kind. And if my group reaches the untouched parts? I expect there to be numerous traps or magics protecting what I desire to find. Will you be alright with that?" She asks, putting upfront what the job will liky entail.

"Well I'm very good at finding and disabling traps. I'm know for a fact I would definitely be able to help you out. It's up to you at this point whether you want me on the team or not. But like I said if there is something you want if you hire me I'll definitely get it for you."

She nods. "Good. My name is Lena Frey. There is an artifact I'm interested in retrieving. Now that I've got someone hired, I expect to leave tomorrow. If there are any problems with that, let me know." Lena says.

"Not at all. We can discuss my pay on the way to finding your artifact. I can see you are busy with your papers and stuff. Are we leaving really early by any chance?"

Xanivus's main shop is the Medani Emporium, where a variety of goods are sold. The shopkeeper waves his greeting to Xanivus. "Ah, Xan. What do you need this time?" Archimede Medani asks.

"I'm going to need some rations and water for a start probably about a weeks worth. Also do you sell sunrods? and lastly I will need 50 ft of silk rope. That will be it"

"Yea I don't know how long this journey will be. But it's no problem" Xanivus waits patiently as the shopkeeper gets his supplies. Xanivus thinks for a moment. "Oh and before I forget do you have anything in your shop that could help me with disabling devices and traps?"

"A masterwork set of 'archaeologist' tools." Archimede says, adding the masterwork thieves' tools to the small pile in a bag. "That'll be all, I do believe." Archimede says after placing the last sunrod in. "Your total is 150 gold. That all will hold you a month. Two-thirds of it is the tools. Masterwork isn't cheap." Archimede says.

Xanivus pays the amount of gold the shopkeeper needs. "Thank you it was nice doing business with you."

In the morning, Xanivus arrives at the Silver Phoenix to see Lena talking to a small flying... woman? made of metal? "You have cataloged everything, correct Odilea?" "Yes Mistress. All of you're items have been cataloged, the research saved, and the maps rolled." The small flying... thing responded. Lena nods her head. "The last thing I need is for there to be a screw-up before we arrive, now that I have someone to watch my back."
