Mugen (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

There was a sharp and sudden pain in the backmof her leg, sending her to the floor.
"Ah, ah, ah," he said, "you won't grt away that easy."

Moriko tumbled to the ground and slowly picked herself up, looking back at her ankle in horror. The back of her ankle had been cut deep, severing the tendons cleanly. She cried out in pain as blood gushed from the wound, clutching at her calf.

"Aw, what's wrong? Can't run anymore?" He asked. He looked down at the wound and scowled.
"Well, I don't want you dying right away. That would spoil the fun." He said before turning to one of her dead comrades and ripping his clothes to make a bandage.

she clutched her leg in pain, shaking as she watched him through tears in her eyes- he was going to treat her just to prolong things? The thought sounded awful, Moriko attempting to crawl away, tears dripping from her eyes.

She cried out when he stepped on her, biting back tears. Was he planning on killing her? He was, wasn’t he? So why was he treating her wound, why not just finish her off?

She struggled in his grasp, leg burning with a vengeance. “What are you planning to do with me?” She did her best to keep her voice from shaking, trying to be brave in the face of such a monster.

Terror filled her eyes, body freezing up despite her shame. She wished she had a blade just like Etsuko; she wished Etsuko was there.

She hit the ground with a grunt, quickly scrambling away from him as far as she could, heart pounding in her chest.

He chuckled and stared at her for a moment longer before leaving her alone. She had to get a message out to someone, anyone that could help her.

Moriko had only a few senbon left on her person, but it would prove useless against a demon- stuck and with no other way out, she slowly and quietly got to her feet. She limped to the door and reached through the bars, working to silently pick the lock open.

The lock gave a soft click as it unlocked, Moriko carefully removing the lock and pushing the door open. At the very least she had to escape the village, once she was out she would figure out the rest from there. Slowly limping up the stairs, she listened intently for any sign of the demon returning, holding her breath with anxiety.

She didn't hear a single sound, and that filled her with more dread than relief. There was no telling where he was hiding, especially if he could hide his footsteps as well as he could.

Moriko moved as silently as she could, ignoring the pain that flared in her ankle every time she put weight on it.
She came across more bodies on the floor, but didn’t stop to check who it was, it didn’t matter in that moment, she had to make it out alive.

"And just where do you think you're going?" There was a presence behind her suddenly before a hand grabbed her by the back of the neck, lifting her off the ground easily.

She struggled to break away from him, terror forcing a small cry from her. “No..!” She kicked and squirmed, eyes wide. She had been so close to freedom again, only to be caught.

“No, please! I’m sorry, I won’t try to escape again!” She pleaded, was it even worth it to try and fight him off?

She shook her head again, hoping she would be successful in convincing him otherwise. “I’m sorry! I made a mistake! It-it was a mistake!”
