It would be a while before Yuko woke up again, lips and throat dry. She groaned, both in pain and from sleep, and scanned her surroundings for a second. When she registered Sanemi at her side, she looked a bit uneasy.
"You stayed...?"

 

[Jikkah]

Sanemi’s eyes moved to Yuko when she stirred, lifting his chin from his hand. “You asked me to.” He reminded her.

"I didn't think you really would..." She muttered, eyes closing again, "Thank you.."

Sanemi’s sharp eyes watched Yuko closely. “I’m sorry I let things get this bad.” He said softly, despite his irritation and anger toward her, if he didn’t keep it pushed down he might end up injuring her worse and end up killing her.

It's your fault I'm like this, she thought, but shook her head.
"It's ok, Nemi..." She said softly.

 

[Jikkah]

“Rest, I’ll make sure things are taken care of.” He said, resting his chin back in his hand. “The kid can be my problem until you can walk again.”

She frowned, "It's ok, I can deal with him..." She said. She didn't want him to be angry, "Don't burden yourself, please.."
