ʀᴇɴᴇɢᴀᴅᴇ ᴅᴏᴡɴ (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

Amaya could barely keep a grip on her weapon and her head up as they walked, cursing softly under her breath. “Next time, you’re the one that takes the bullets.” She muttered, struggling to keep her eyes open.

“Sorry captain.. think you can patch me up? I don’t think I’ll be able to do it myself this time..” Amaya laughed weakly.

Megohime watched the two until they were off the property before lowering her gun and moving over to Kojurou. “Here, let me take a look at it..” She said, holstering her gun and kneeling beside him.

He nodded, smiling as he helped her into the car, "Yeah, I got'cha.."

"Thank you, Megohime..." Kojurou muttered, carefully moving to let her see his leg. Masamune huffed in annoyance.
"Whoever hired them must really want Aki and I to turn a new leaf on Tags."

Megohime dug into one of the side pockets of her cargo pants, pulling out a roll of gauze to treat his leg. “You’ve both got a lot of enemies, got any ideas?” She asked as she wrapped up Kojurou’s leg until they could get him to the house doctor.

Megohime made a noise, tying the gauze tight to slow the bleeding, pocketing the rest of the gauze. “Well good thing we’ve got a week until that meeting, we can do our own homework.” She stood and offered her hand out to Kojurou to help him stand.

He took her hand gladly and pulled himself to his feet, keeping his weight off his bad leg, "Thank you.."
"I'll look at the old black book, but I feel like it'll be the same man for both attacks."

Megohime helped Kojurou stay upright, supporting him on his bad side. “Yeah, I’ve got that same feeling. That asshole is usually behind things like this.”

Megohime was careful to mind Kojurou’s leg, helping him to the doctor to get the gunshot wound treated. Megohime herself had some light injuries, a few shallow cuts and bruises, but nothing that needed treatment. “So,” She started, looking to Masamune. “How do we plan on getting old man Hisehide to fess up?”

"Good question," Masamune mused, "his lips are sealed tighter than a meiser's purse. He'd no sooner be peeled like an orange than confess any wrong doing."
"If we could find transaction information," Kojurou offered, "some kind of paper trail?"

Megohime made a face at the idea of Matsunaga being peeled like an orange, but she felt Masamune wasn’t far off. “A paper trail huh?” She thought it a good idea, but that came with its own list of issues. “A man like him would be sure to have a close watch on something as important as incriminating evidence, probably keeps it in arms reach.”

The idea of stepping foot into Matsunaga’s home made Megohime’s skin crawl. “You thinking of breaking in?”

"That would be our best option." Masamune replied, "He keeps all his important shit there."
"He also wouldn't leave it just laying around, boss." Kojurou said.

“Well then keep his attention, one of us can take a peek while the other two keep him busy- get him to talk about himself, I’m sure he’d have plenty to say.” Megohime said.

"We can give it a shot before the meeting, or we can wait til it starts. He won't be home and it would give us a lot of time." Masamune said.

Megohime thought for a moment. “Doing it before the meeting could possibly give us something to bring to the table at the meeting, doing it during does ensure that we’ll be uninterrupted- both are favorable options.”

"Imagine the look on his face when you present something damning like that to a meeting mostly about him." Kojurou said. Masamune smirked and ruffled Megohime's hair.
"This is why we have you on payroll, Mego~"

Megohime swatted at his hand, grumbling lowly as she fixed her hair the best she could without a mirror. “Yeah, yeah. Just make sure you big wigs hold him accountable.”

“Better get ready to talk his ear off then, I don’t really feel like getting caught red-handed.” She joked, looking to Kojurou. “And your job is to heal up, thinking about this has me on edge already- the thought of his face when we get dirt on him is something I’m looking forward to.”

It took four days before everyone was ready to go. Megohime made arrangements with Matsunaga on Masamune’s behalf for a business opportunity. She claimed Masamune was in the market for trusted servants, normals or Tags- it wasn’t entirely untrue, they had been meaning to make additions to their staff, and this was the perfect cover.
Megohime drove a separate car from Masamune and Kojurou, leaving twenty minutes ahead of him and parking three blocks away to make sure she wouldn’t be seen.
