Some basic but important information
The breeding protocol was always there as a contingency plan, in case any sort of disastrous event should reduce the human population aboard the colony ship to numbers below expected viable biological diversity through free choice of partner. Even with the colony ship intact and arriving at it's intended destination there was a protocol in place by which each adult man and woman were required to produce at least two children, a third and fourth child giving the parents a financial bonus for each additional child.

The contingency plan however was a little different, firstly in that it required all males and females over the age of 15 to breed at least three children without any promise of a bonus for a fourth or fifth. The children should preferably all be conceived within no more than a year of each other.

Choice of partner for each child was a free choice but also subject to strict regulations:

1. No couple already having produced a child were allowed to produce another until they had filled the mandated quota of at least three more children.

2. If a coupled male and female did not conceive a child within 6 months they were to be assigned new breeding partners.

3. Due to lesser probability of women over forty falling pregnant they were to choose younger males with more viable sperm to breed with and vice versa, younger females with a greater probability of falling pregnant were to choose older males with less viable sperm to breed with.

4. No colonist, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, were allowed to refuse breeding. Punishment for refusing to breed or secretly using any sort of contraceptive was banishment from the colony or be forced to breed without their consent. This applied to both males and females.
the only contraceptives allowed would be condoms or diaphragms to allow husbands and wives to still enjoy sex without risking pregnancy if they already have a child between them. All other methods such as birth control pills or implants, injections and whatever else of a more permanent nature would be illegal.
  • No one should feel that they need to write non-con to fully enjoy our group.
  • Non-con scenes should be labeled as such in the thread name so those wanting to avoid, not read them have a warning.

I just read the latest post in Refugee. Taking refuge in Capheus' house sounds a lot like a lamb taking refuge in a lion's den. I do hope that this somehow backfires on that asshat.

a thread from the old NextGen version of LiS

My bad entirely. It is not from NextGen but from the first version of the original cast ... There is another thread from NextGen that we have also talked about giving a reboot but in a setting removed from LiS (as neither character really has any relation to the colony).

Taking refuge in Capheus' house sounds a lot like a lamb taking refuge in a lion's den.

Or simple pragmatism. The enemy of my enemy and all that (no that's not from The Art of War as is often claimed.) The lesser of two evils ... Every deal is in one way or another a compromise, every favour has a price of some sort ...

Also consider that perhaps Capheus might have other motives for agreeing to help rid the colony of Lucas than just to breed Ana.

There might even be an unexpected twist in his next encounter with Riley to show that. (Not saying any more about it at the moment as I have not yet discussed it with @LeaT who will probably adopt Riley from my own adoption of her.

I do hope that this somehow backfires on that asshat.

Perhaps it will perhaps it won't. Perhaps the deal Ana has made might end up being positive for the colony as a whole.

I hope so. I will admit that so far, Lucas has made more alarming statements than Capheus, has he not? Thus, if we are to prioritize potential dangers to peace and prosperity, Lucas may land on the top of the list.

I would certainly say so.

As much of an asshole and an African Supremacist as he may perhaps be Capheus is first and foremost a man of reason, who despite his initial intentions to keep the bloodline of the colony as African as possible, starting with his own family actually has the survival of the colony as his first priority while Lucas, well I'll be damned if I ever really understood his motives for preferring to first breed his step daughters rather than any of the other available females but if I was to theorise on the subject I would guess that he was simply a perverted asshole who had wanted to fuck his step daughters for a long time and now found a reason to do so and get away with it whether they wanted to or not (and as the thread Claiming the Twins clearly show they didn't exactly want to even if they did comply after threats had been made.

Coercive rape is still rape.

As you said Captain, Aye ...

Sadly though it is an all too common occurrence and even sadder one that it does not lead to a conviction, or even to trial, as often as it should. And when it does it is far too often the victims that are put on trial. I mean sure I fully believe in the concept of innocent until proven guilty and that it up to the prosecution to prove said guilt rather than for the defense to prove innocence but unlike with most other crimes the scales are not equal in cases of sexual assault, whether it is as simple (but no less criminal) as an unwanted kiss on the lips (as in the case of Luis Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso) or a full scale violent assault by an unknown perpetrator in a dark corner of a park.

Even if I did not have a vested interest in agreeing wholeheartedly with you, I would. Good thing that in this case, such a lengthy process is both impractical and unnecessary.

The case of Lucas Mercer you mean?

I was actually thinking that to retain a semblance of civilisation Capheus suggests an actual tribunal to be held, with himself presiding as judge (in the capacity of the colony's elder). It will of course be mostly for show.

I am still considering the punishment though. After all due to the situation can the colony really afford to execute him? Would it not be better to confine him and allow the females to use him for breeding, whether they want to give him a taste of his own medicine by taking him without his consent or by simply forcing him to masturbate into a cup and then use other means of inseminating themselves?

I think this should be open for discussion really.

I like that idea. You are correct in the matter of being unable to afford to execute him. Giving him a taste of his own medicine would be a much sweeter punishment.

Anyone open for a scene? My muse switch flipped to "on" recently. Don't know how long it will last, but I want to use it while it is.

Will there be a free use element to the wedding reception?

Also @Colonel_Liam Mia is likely due for a doctor's visit, she has been a bit nauseous!
