Some basic but important information
The breeding protocol was always there as a contingency plan, in case any sort of disastrous event should reduce the human population aboard the colony ship to numbers below expected viable biological diversity through free choice of partner. Even with the colony ship intact and arriving at it's intended destination there was a protocol in place by which each adult man and woman were required to produce at least two children, a third and fourth child giving the parents a financial bonus for each additional child.

The contingency plan however was a little different, firstly in that it required all males and females over the age of 15 to breed at least three children without any promise of a bonus for a fourth or fifth. The children should preferably all be conceived within no more than a year of each other.

Choice of partner for each child was a free choice but also subject to strict regulations:

1. No couple already having produced a child were allowed to produce another until they had filled the mandated quota of at least three more children.

2. If a coupled male and female did not conceive a child within 6 months they were to be assigned new breeding partners.

3. Due to lesser probability of women over forty falling pregnant they were to choose younger males with more viable sperm to breed with and vice versa, younger females with a greater probability of falling pregnant were to choose older males with less viable sperm to breed with.

4. No colonist, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, were allowed to refuse breeding. Punishment for refusing to breed or secretly using any sort of contraceptive was banishment from the colony or be forced to breed without their consent. This applied to both males and females.
the only contraceptives allowed would be condoms or diaphragms to allow husbands and wives to still enjoy sex without risking pregnancy if they already have a child between them. All other methods such as birth control pills or implants, injections and whatever else of a more permanent nature would be illegal.
  • No one should feel that they need to write non-con to fully enjoy our group.
  • Non-con scenes should be labeled as such in the thread name so those wanting to avoid, not read them have a warning.

@MsBloom Yeah I feel like Lucas and Capheus would bond over that for sure. Since Lucas would be enforcing it he would like someone he trusts helping him as well so it might just be Capheus. Sure. can do. I can make those edits as well. I'll post Owen's journal tomorrow after some sleep.

"Oh well. I should probably get dressed now and head down for breakfast, or maybe I should just head down to breakfast as I am, in just panties and a tank top that is a bit too small for me. Just for a bit of teasing fun."

That made me laugh too lol. Lucas votes yes on that Teri totally should head down to breakfast in just her tank top and panties.

Yeah I feel like Lucas and Capheus would bond over that for sure.

Just keep in mind that Capheus has ulteriour motives, wanting to maintain the African bloodline as pure as possible, meaning he will go after as many white women as possible and send Jaali after them to while fiercely objecting to anyone wanting to breed Abeba and Khandi other than well himself and Jaali. (Of course that will not be sustainable in the long run and will probably get him into trouble somewhere down the line.

I've put up the Jupiter Layouts by family group. I experimented a bit with different colour schemes for each Jupiter. If anyone find them hard to read let me know and I will edit.

Alright folks, I dunno if we're actually confused about this, but just in case we are, I'd like to make sure we're all on the same page regarding how the Endeavour ended its days. My current understanding is that an explosion critically damaged the ship and blasted it too close to the system's star to escape its gravity, where it met its final end via being violently ripped apart by gravitational forces and incinerated by superheated solar plasma. Does anyone have a different interpretation?

Also, I'd like to suggest that some supplies were thrown clear of the Endeavour before it met its fate, including food and medical supplies.

I was also thinking that too. Those supplies might have fallen onto the planet with us, Could make a fun mission to collect those crashed supplies.

Sounds about right to me.

That or they're just floating in space

If that's where they are it would make for some real life pilot training for Teri.

I'm going to make a point of getting out and talking to some of the women in the other jupiters, surely we are going to put our collective feet down and put a stop to this nonsense.

Should we have that meeting in a thread with all the female characters invited perhaps? I think that might be fun since I know that not all the females will agree with Khandi.

I'll be stalking that all female thread :p

It could be a fun plot for the younger generation with Teri flying and the others getting the supplies floating in space.

All female thread?

Also, I suppose it wouldn't be very exciting if we all just worked together on this, lol. Gotta at least try for some Lord of the Flies type shit, cause how else will they have it blow up in their faces?

I wasn't thinking anything all that exclusive or organized, just an opportunity to drop by the neighbors and try to get a pulse of the group and to avoid her father-in-law. Assuming he isn't stalking her.

I'm open to ideas. Trying to work on my intro posts first but if anyone wants to intercept her, that is fine too.

I apologize for any typos or grammar mistakes with anything I post. I'm a phone user, so it can be challenging at times to catch everything, but I try my best.

I thought your post was great. I try not to play English teacher on here, it is for fun after all. As long as I get the idea it is good with me.

I am putting the Georgian calendar date (Earth date) in Charles' initial journal entry, possibly the others as well. I just randomly selected March 23, 2090. Any objections?

I'm putting a blindfold on my editor brain.

Also, in case anyone was curious about the canon chronology.

I edited it to take up less space. The image will after all appear in full size if you click it.

I second that they left in 2046 the question now is what year The Endeavour met its ultimate fate?
