Ah... the plot is so tangled. I am having to keep notes on what Leo knows versus what I know.
That is sort of a key to a story like this, not using all the things you know as a writer but trying to limit it to what your character knows.

Exactly! o_O Which may walk him straight into the German 'showers.' Poor chap, ha ha! It's fun playing a character who has blundered into something big and is caught in that horrible vice that closed around Europe during this time.

Somehow I cannot help but wonder how Charles Walsh knows of Jane's sexual preferences since he apparently slept quite soundly through the night once Jane had left his compartment, except for "a slight disturbance close to the morning that sounded like a commotion a couple doors down".

Other peculiar inconsistencies. Before Jane and Walsh had their sexual encounter Walsh claimed to have been cruelly betrayed by a woman he was engaged to, and then after the murder he makes a show of having been in love with a Jewish woman who didn't make it out of Germany before the Nuremberg Laws were declared which absolutely yes happened in 1933 but the The first systematic round-up of German and Austrian Jews occurred after Kristallnacht in November 1938 (2 1/2 years after our little train ride), when approximately 30,000 Jewish men were deported to Dachau and other concentration camps, and several hundred Jewish women were sent to local jails.

Just saying. OK.

I remember in one of the first posts, Mr. Walsh had assumed Jane was a lesbian because of her method of dress and her short hair. Maybe now that he has slept with her, it was only natural for the character to assume she was bisexual?

That's the only thing I can think of.

Okay. I'm sorry. I have memory issues and I will change one thing or the other about his love life. At least we can play off the bisexual thing like Traveler described.

I'm not sure that I don't want Walsh to accidentally slip under the train when he tries to go from one car to the next. I've felt less and less like I have a role in this story as time has gone on, and besides which my beleaguered mind might benefit from the reduced load.

He has a role, it has just appeared to be a bit too complex given your self-described memory issues. So maybe consider a bit less dynamic of a role. This would be an ideal time to have him detained and interrogated, slow things down a little as opposed to quitting completely. It wouldn't require as much juggling of situations and rendezvous with other characters. It would put some pressure on Jane to figure out what happened to him and if he is going to talk or not. I may have another idea or two and as a group we may be able to come up with a few other things. He could also just be shot trying to escape, a frequent fate of those that cross the Nazi Era Germans, at least if the movies can be believed.

Your call, I don't want to try and hold you into something you aren't enjoying. But this isn't a James Bond film, if he fights 3 armed Germans, he is going to lose, possibly fatally.

I know it's not a James Bond film. That said, I'm neither enjoying this any longer nor do I feel I can keep up. Kill him. Kill him any way you wish, but consider my proposal for that. It's been a fun trip but I can't go on. You all are great and I would love to RP again with each and every one of you in future.

As you wish, I will tie up the loose ends if you don't mind, it will help with continuity of the story. Good luck to you and thanks for writing with us.

@xavierrol - I can't see the train car photo, but the description of it as a leech was very memorable! This is the scene in the movie where the music begins to take a darker tone to it... da-da-dum!

@captain_bond - Sorry to see you go! I can understand lightening your load, though. It's going to be traumatic for the other characters to have him disappear and will certainly add a new level of foreboding to the events coming.

@Vinaein - I'm looking forward to meeting the man from Louisiana!

Well, don't feel you've been a burden here...I'd be totally happy if you reconsidered

Well, nothing wrong with stepping back and giving yourself a few days of breathing room!

Ah well, the leech description will just have to do. All black except for that Swastiak emblem...
