Thousand-year Curse (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

Amaya’s face went red, and she refused to look at him. “Now you’re just talking big.” She muttered, but truthfully she was happy to hear him say that, it made her feel better.

“I guess if I have no other choice.” She muttered, but he could see that she looked relieved by his words.

Sasuke tended to her for the next couple of days until she could sit up and move a bit on her own without reopening the wound. He was sitting quietly with her before hiding behind his fan.
"Aki's coming."

Amaya could sit up and feed herself on her own now, but she still hadn’t regained the strength in her legs yet. She looked up when Sasuke spoke, looking surprised. “Akihime? Is she alone?” She wanted to get up to meet her friend, but didn’t have the strength to.

“Is it that curse Masamune keeps around?” Amaya was on edge already, they needed to warn Akihime that neither of them were safe.

Amaya moved to the edge of the bed, pulling the blankets off of herself. “Take me out to see her.” She demanded, but she was still in no condition to be out moving around yet.

“Don’t remind me..” She grumbled as he helped her to the door, barely able to put any weight on her own legs.

“Akihime..!” Amaya called out the best she could, chest feeling too tight if she yelled too loudly. “We’re down this way..!”

Amaya hung onto Sasuke, relieved to see Akihime alive and well. “It’s Date.” She said. “He’s after you- and since I didn’t want to help him, he turned on me too..”

"Wh-What...?" She asked softly, stopping in front of them, "After me...?"
"You turned on him, didn't you?" Sasuke asked, "Turned your back?"
"W-Well, yeah! He almost killed Yukimura, I couldn't stand for that!" Akihime said, eyes panicked, "H-He wanted...you to kill me...?" She asked Amaya.

Amaya frowned softly, nodding. “Yeah, and when I refused, he tried to get rid of me too..” She said. “Neither of you are safe, you or Sanada.”

Akihime looked to Sasuke, as if to ask for his protection, and he made a noise.
"I can't make any promises, Aki." He said, "You're coated in chaos, just talking to you right now is putting us at risk."

Amaya glared at Sasuke. “We’re going to protect her.” She said firmly. “Even if I have to do it myself.”

"I didn't say I wouldn't," he told her, giving a side glare, "I just can't promise it'll work. I have a whole temple to protect from a powerful maniac and his weirdo curse. It'll be tough, even as a God."
"Arigatou..." Akihime said weakly, smiling.

Amaya made a noise. “Yeah.. we should either move or clear the temple then.” She muttered in thought. “If we’re near anyone, we’re risking casualties.” She looked up to Akihime. “And Sanada, you should contact him, let him know that he’s in danger too, have him meet up with us- at least then we’ll have a better fighting chance until I’m healed up a bit more.”

Akihime nodded, "Hai." She agreed and reached for her phone. Sasuke took his fan and threw it at the temple bell, not even grimacing at the loud echoing ring it gave.
"The priests should start to head out through the escape routes now, that way they won't get in the way when Date arrives."

Amaya nodded, shouting over the loud noise of the bell to speak. “Take me around the borders of the veil, I’ll strengthen them with talisman while Akihime calls Sanada.” She said to Sasuke.
