Gurenge (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

Akihime faltered, not knowing how to answer.
"I would." Sasuke stated firmly, "I would give up my body for you, to keep you alive and in this world because if there's any way to fix this like Masamune thinks there is then goddammit, I will find it for you!! Whatever it takes, Amaya!! You want my flesh?!" He shoved Mitsunari and punched him hard in the jaw, "Have it! You want an eye?! Take them! My tongue? My organs?! All of them are yours!!"

Amaya watched Sasuke in silence, tears falling from her eyes. “I don’t want that.” She said quietly. “I don’t want any of that.” She didn’t understand why Sasuke refused to let her die. “You want me to stay and suffer- and for what? The hopes that you can cure me by killing the demon we haven’t even been able to find…!”

"Because I love you!" He snapped, "I love you, dammit!" He grunted when Mitsunari punched him so hard it knocked him to the ground, crying out when the Sound hashira stepped on his head.
"She is a demon, you fool! She knows her fate and accepts it! You should do the same!" Mitsunari snapped.
"N-No...! I-I've already failed...I need to make it right...!" Sasuke argued.

Mitsunari did not expect to be knocked back, separated from Sasuke, but he was. Amaya had moved closer, had shoved the sound Hashira from his place over Sasuke, and was now crouched protectively over Sasuke. “Mitsunari.. I know my fate, but you will learn of yours the hard way if you hurt him.” She said lowly.

"You will not get a strike on me like that again, Amaya." Mitsunari hissed. Akihime moved to her brother and picked him up.
"Mitsunari..." Her voice was shaking, "Please...let Amaya live...let Sasuke attone..."
"She is a demon!!" Mitsunari nearly screamed.
"So was Otou-san!!" Akihime argued, "I will not watch another that I love die because of our failings!"

Amaya made sure Sasuke was unharmed as she helped him back to his feet. “Arguing isn’t going to change anything. I am still a demon, and if I need to take innocent lives to live, I should not.”

"Blood won't be enough after a while, Ama..." Akihime frowned. Sasuke shook his head gently.
"I'll give up all that I can." He replied. Mitsunari was foaming at the mouth.
"I'll kill all of you!!" He yellee, gripping his blade tightly, "You're all a disgrace to the Slayers!!"

“I did not agree to you sacrificing your body to me, Sasuke.” Amaya said firmly. “Perhaps we return to the others, I assume Yukimura is still alive?”

"Hai! He will be happy to see you both, despite the circumstances!" Akihime smiled brightly, ignoring Mitsunari's angry shaking. Sasuke glanced at Amaya and grinned.
"I didn't agree to you being a demon, but here we are." He shot playfully.

Amaya didn’t respond to his joke, only giving him a sad look as she stood. “We should get moving then, before the sun rises.”

Akihime moved to grab Amaya's hat but stopped, knowing that the poison she carried on her and radiated off her would harm Amaya.
"I got it.." Sasuke said, moving to grab the hat. Akihime smiled sadly.
"I missed you so much..." She said gently.

Amaya thought for a moment before taking Akihime’s hand in hers, a soft frown on her face as she gave her hand a squeeze before letting go. “I only wish I hadn’t returned to you like this..”

Akihime shook her head, "You returned, that's all I could ever want." She said. Sasuke passed Amaya her hat after dusting it off gently.
"Let's go meet up with Yukimura."

Amaya nodded, taking her hat beck from Sasuke, hand brushing his as she did. After she had her hat back, she put it on her head to hide her horns once more; already her hand was slightly discolored from Akihime’s poison.

"A-Ah, Ama...!" Akihime recoiled gently, not wanting to cause her any more pain. Sasuke frowned softly.
"She'll be ok, Aki. We're wasting time just standing around." He said before he started walking, "Take us to Yukimura."
"H...Hai..." Akihime looked deeply saddened before heading off ahead of them.

They didn’t walk far before both Sasuke and Akihime started to feel sluggish and heavy, limbs becoming hard to move before quickly giving out entirely and the both of them collapsed to the ground. “I’m sorry, both of you, but I truly can’t just sit around continuing my life as a demon while others are forced to sacrifice for me..” Amaya stopped walking, turning to Mitsunari, who was the only one still standing besides Amaya. “I’ve used my abilities as a demon to paralyze them, but it shouldn’t harm them in anyway- I still intend to forfeit my life, but please, allow me to see the both of them home safely. I want to know that I’m leaving them in a safe place.”

"A-Ama...don't do this...please...!" Akihime was struggling to stand, even a demon's poison was a poison she could fend off fairly well, but she could barely get up off her knees. Saauke was livid, his vision blurred by tears.
"After all that...!! This is how you want it to be...?!"
"I will abide your dying wish." Mitsunari said, hands in his sleeves.

Amaya tried hard to ignore the hurt in Sasuke and Akihime’s voices, keeping her eyes fixed on Mitsunari. “Thank you. This should reverse the affects of my poison, if my death does not undo it.” She fished out two small vials of clear liquid, holding them out to him.

"You bitch!! How could you do this...!!" Sasuke was heartbroken, sobbing weakly into the dirt, "After all that...!! After everything I said...!!"
"It's better this way, Sasuke, she knows it and so do you." Mitsunari stated firmly.

Amaya flinched slightly at his words, turning to look at Sasuke with sad eyes. “You know more than anyone that the blood you were giving me wasn’t sustaining me, that soon I would need flesh.” She moved over to him, taking his arm and pulling it over her shoulder to carry him back. “I won’t do that, I won’t eat your flesh Sasuke, no matter how much you want me to.”

He choked on his sobs as she carried him.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry I didn't realize he was doing it sooner...I should have known..." He whimpered. Mitsunari helped Akihime walk, she couldn't bear to look at her brother.

“You have a job to do- demons to kill after this.” She said quietly but firmly as they walked. “I expect to meet the bastard that started all of this in hell, so make sure you send him down to me quick so I can return the favor.”

He didn't want her to die, he didn't want her to go to hell, he didn't want any of this. Why couldn't he have just found her sooner? Why did this have to happen?

The walk back seemed to take ages, a march of death. Once they arrived at the house Amaya allowed Mitsunari to take lead, knowing it wouldn’t look good for a demon to walk in carrying a slayer.
