Gurenge (1x1 w/DarkMudkip)

Megohime could only attempt to crawl forward a pace. “Stop! Stop fighting, both-!” Another wave of nausea hit her like a train, and before she could register another thought, more blood came pouring from her mouth, splattering onto the floor before her.

Kojurou felt his anger quickly become replaced with fear, and he sheathed his sword before moving toward her.
"Here, lay down.." He said and helped her onto his futon.

Megohime was clammy now, shaking and looking scared again as Kojurou helped her lay down. “A-Am I dying..?” She asked, it hadn’t felt like last time, she still felt things, and she didn’t feel like she was falling down a well, so she had to be ok, right?

"I imagine your body does not enjoy this...thing...that is growing inside you and is trying to adjust to accommodate...I would have to study your blood and see for certain." Kojurou told her, "If I can help it, you will not die.."

Megohime nodded, having little choice but to trust in Kojurou’s medical abilities. “Please..” She grabbed his hand gently, looking up into his eyes. “Please don’t let my baby die either..” The words had the same feeling as dumping cold water over his head. Megohime really considered the parasite inside of her her child?

“Thank you, Kojurou..” Megohime truly seemed relieved at the news he would care for her demon child; just how far had Masamune perverted her mind? With him constantly isolating her, it wouldn’t be hard for him to do whatever he wanted, there would be hours of some days that he wouldn’t even see Megohime, who knew what he did to her during that time?

He clenched his fist tight and steadied his breathing to keep from lashing out again, "Of course, Megohime-dono..." He would have to find a way to deal with Masamune and quickly. If only Akihime were here; her poison breathing would melt his skin straight off his bones.

From Kojurou’s physical examination of Megohime, the only oddity was Megohime being so far along physically for only being a month pregnant. His theory had to be right, the strain was probably just too much for her human body to handle.

He frowned softly. There was no guarantee that she would make it, or her baby for that matter. When he was alone with her, he knelt beside her, eyes downcast.
"Megohime-dono, the demon's growth is putting a strain on your body. I'm not sure that I can guarantee both your survival. I can see that this child is very important to you, and it pains me to ask this of you..." He bowed lowly, his forehead touching the mats, "please terminate the birth..."

Megohime was shocked by the question, sitting up slowly before shaking her head. “Kojurou.. I.. no..!” She looked saddened by his begging, but she couldn’t just get rid of her child, demon or not. “I can’t just kill my child..!”

"It is killing you, please, reconsider keeping it..." He didn't move from his position, "I have lost too many people who are dear to me...I do not want to add your name to that list..."

Megohime balled up her fists, biting her lip, why couldn’t he understand how she felt. “I’m not giving anything up, Kojurou.. You might think it’s a monster.. That Masamune is a monster.. But they’re all I have, and I won’t have them taken away from me..! The answer is no.”

“Please..” Megohime turned her head away from him, putting a hand over her stomach. “I don’t want to talk about this any more..”

He was so unbelievably angry. She was still a child, she had no grasp of the repercussions of her actions. She could die. But she didn't care one bit. All for some bastard.

Megohime refused to talk about the matter any further, and with knowledge of Megohime’s pregnancy, Masamune now kept an even closer eye on her, only allowing Kojurou to be alone with her when giving her medicines and preforming exams.

Hoping the tensions had died down some, Yukimura and Akihime returned to her fathers estate, hun holding her hand gently in his.

Kojurou was at a loss for words. He just couldn't wrap his head around this. Did Masamune have an ulterior motive? Of course he did. He was obsessed with conquering the sun, he was just using Megohime at this point.

Akihime enter the estate with him quietly, noticing how dark it was inside. Odd, but perhaps the light had become too much for Yoshitsugu's eyes in his weakened state.
"I want to check on Otou-san...perhaps he's settled down from last night?"

Still, Megohime refused Kojurou’s request of terminating her pregnancy, only ever turning him away when he brought it up, or outright refusing to speak about the matter. His quest to convince her otherwise would only be deterred slightly when Masamune himself requested to see Kojurou.

Yukimura too found it odd most of the lights were out, the house eerily silent. “Let me come with you, I too would like to ensure your father is alright, and apologize for causing trouble.”

"You need to leave Megohime alone about our child." That alone made Kojurou's stomach churn.
"The fact that she has spoken to you about this upsets me." Kojurou muttered. Masamune made a noise.
"It's her body, Kojurou." He said. Kojurou scowled lightly.
"That you take advantage of..." He said under his breath.

Akihime nodded, "Arigatou. I'm sure he just worries for my future."

Kojurou had known that Megohime and Masamune were growing closer since Masamune had started isolati by her from Kojurou, but this simply was the worst save scenario. She was becoming another victim of his, another tool used in his conquest of the sun and she didn’t even realize it.
Sitting beside Masamune was what he could assume to be a katana, wrapped up in a silk cloth to obscure its view.

Yukimura nodded, walking with Akihime through the dimly lit estate toward Yoshitsugu’s bedchambers.

Kojurou looked at it and scowled. A token to buy him over.
"What is that?" He asked. Masamune looked at it and hummed.
"Oh, it's for you." He said simply and picked it up to unveil it. It was a blade, but not just any. It was a nichirin blade; Jin's nichirin blade.

Akihime walked with him quietly before they reached her father's room, "Otou-san? May we come in?"
"Akihime? Yes, of course.." Yoshitsugu said. Akihime pushed the door open and peeked inside.

The blade had lost its sheath, still splattered in dried blood and other bits Kojurou recognized as gore. The white and gold grip had been stained red, and from the end hung hair- a severed braid hanging from the end like some sort of demented tassel. His stomach churned at the sight of the hair, recognizing it as Jin’s.

Yukimura waited behind Akihime, waiting for her to enter; inside the room was simply Yoshitsugu, Mori having left him to rest, now elsewhere in the estate.

"I figured you would get more use out of it than I would. So I'm putting it in your care." Masamune said. Kojurou was furious.
"You bastard..."
"You don't appreciate my gift?" Masamune asked before holding it out to him. Kojurou took it, white knuckling the hilt, before giving a curt bow and leaving.

"How are you feeling today, Otou-san?" She asked as she stepped into the room. Yoshitsugu gave a soft noise.
"Better than yesterday...please forgive my outburst..." He rasped. Akihime smiled softly as she knelt beside him.
"It's alright, I understand...you just want what's best.."

The hair of the braid had also been soaked in blood, now dried from the passing of time, just what kind of end did Jin face? With her death confirmed, he found his heart numb, she had only joined the Slayers at his request, and now she was dead.

Yukimura entered behind Akihime, closing the door quietly, bowing his head to Yoshitsugu. “Otani-dono.. I wanted to give my apologies for stirring up trouble for you within your own home, I had no such intentions.”
