A Vampire's Decision(Raziel99+Anjeru)

His own shirt fizzled, then appeared on him. Smiling at her amazement, remembering how happy he was the first time he was using his abilities. "It works in reverse, and with just about all your powers." He closed his eyes, and his shirt disappeared again. Looking back up at her, his smile was small, tentative. "Later, I can take you out flying."

Alyx's eyes widened and she stared down at him silently for a few moments, blinking rapidly. "You're serious?" she asked, skeptical. "I can fly, for real?" That thought in itself was hard to believe; after all, it was all people's wish to be able to fly. Mankind had spent generation after generation perfecting their methods of flight, all of which involved machines. None could fly on their own like Dimitri was suggesting to her. The idea was so...just, unbelievable.

"There are more ways than one to fly, love." He said softly. "Although we don't need them, we can go almost like walking on air, I prefer the flight with wings. Unless I have to go somewhere really fast." His eyes closed as he relaxed back on the bed. "I have seen vampires turn into dragons for the hell of it."

Her violet eyes widened even further. "A d-dragon?" There was sheer amazement in the tone of her voice; definitely unbelievable! "Wow...what a change from being a normal, bar-owning human..." she said with a chuckle, running her slim feminine fingers through the auburn strands of her hair. "I have a feeling it will take a bit to get used to, though it all sounds unbelievably amazing."

"It can be." He admitted, running a hand through his hair, his eyes still closed. "Those stories about dragons of old? Those were us. Loch Ness Monster? That was one of us playing a prank." He laughed slightly. "It's fun to be able to change your shape."

Alyx had to blink again a few times as his words set into her mind. Then, she hid her face against his chest as laughter began to bubble in her chest and escape from her lips. "Oh god," she struggled to speak through her laughter as uncontrollable as it seemed. "That's just...wow, never expected that. Loch Ness. Hahaha. That's just cruel and unusual, considering all that it caused. Freaked people out for, like, ever." She chuckled again.

He laughed softly with her. "My friend Adrien, he was always the prankster. I think he took a break from Loch Ness for a while to play out Bigfoot." Another laugh came from him. "He was always a hoot when we were children. Always got in trouble, too."

"Bigfoot too?!" She laughed again, looking down at him skeptically. "I guess when you can pull off such feats, their is always bound to be the goofball of the group." She poked his chest with a chuckle. "So what is your goofball friend Adrien planning next? I have no doubt it's something of epic proportions." She kicked her feet idly, just enjoying laying here and talking with him like this. She'd always felt different from other people and so hadn't had much sociality in her lifetime, especially with men.

"I don't know, I haven't been in contact with him for a while. While he might be a prankster, both of us are still hunters." He let out a sigh. "But he's out there somewhere, doing his job." His arms wrapped around her and pulled her close. "But you, missy, before you try planning anything, need to get your energy up. The changing took a lot out of you."

"Yeah, I do still feel a little sore," she admitted as she cuddled down against his side again. "But this is still much better than where I was yesterday, so much better." She laid her head against his shoulder and closed her eyes, idly caressing his chest with her fingertips. He was warm and that warmth seeped into her, making her feel safe which was what she really needed right now; it helped keep the nightmares at bay which hovered just on the edge of her consciousness.

His fingers slowly went through her hair, marveling at the feel of the silken strands, how the touch played with his senses. "I love you." He whispered softly. A admonition that he wouldn't give unless he knew she was his. It was meant to be.

She smiled softly; the admission soothed everything in an instant and she felt so much better than she ever had in her entire life. "I've never felt this way," she admitted in turn; she wasn't sure that she loved him, her human morality sense of love and commitment were still there to detour her from believing in the simple fact that they were meant to be. "I think I love you, Dimitri," she said softly, nuzzling his chest. "I get that it's more profound for you though. Is there something that tells you we're meant to be?"

He opened his eyes and looked at her, a finger stroking her cheek gently. "It's more than love. It would be difficult to explain..." he let out a sigh and tried anyway. "You called out to me all along, though I couldn't find you. You are my other half. My soul mate. You have the other half of my broken spirit. That is how people are made, yin and yang. Two halves to a whole."

"I called out to you?" she questioned. She was looking up at him with genuinely curious eyes, wondering how she'd done that, because unless she did it subconsciously, she really had no recollection of calling out to him. Though, really, what he said would explain why she'd never felt comfortable with anyone and why any other man touching her made her feel sick, dirty, and defiled.

"Not physically or mentally. But I knew you were out there, somewhere." He sighed. "I am glad I found you, but I wish I found you a little sooner. Before you were taken away like that." His lips found hers in a light kiss, hot and needy.

She sighed contently into the kiss and leaned into him, sliding a hand into his hair. "You have to look at this way, though, I was oblivious to your world...well, our world now," she corrected softly, "so if I hadn't been dragged into it the way I was, it could have been a long time before we would have met."

He nodded slowly, sighing. "Yes, I know. But i wasn't fast enough, he got his filthy hands on you..." He cuddled up to her. "But you are here now. That's what matters." He pulled her closer, nipping her lip lightly.

It wasn't the first time she'd been through an attack of that nature, though she knew it was the worst because this attack had been one of a supernatural sense. After all, she'd never had her throat torn out by a man's bite. Definitely not. "I'll be alright with time,' she reassured, knowing the nightmares would fade. "Mmm," she made a small pleasurable noise as he nipped at her lip. She giggled and did the same in return to his lip.

He let out a soft sigh, nipping her lip back again gently. "I need you." He whispered, his eyes half open. "You have no idea how much I need you. I know you saw into my mind, my thoughts. That was holding back."

She blushed softly and had to resist the urge to hide her face again; she wasn't used to anyone needing her this badly, much less at all. She laid her palm against his cheek and smiled, before leaning in to press her lips to his, nipping at them gently as she kissed him. She snuggled closer to his body again, sliding her other hand back into his hair, closing her eyes.

He kissed her softly before breaking it, cuddling up against her. "It won't be easy, but I can wait." he said softly. He wasn't going to inform her about some of the customs. He was sure that she would feel pressured then.

She caught the thought, but wasn't sure if she should go ahead and ask him to elaborate about the customs he was thinking of. "I suppose there is still a lot I have to learn," she said. "After all, vampires are vastly different than humans. I could only expect that the socialism among vampires is different as well, customs, beliefs, and whatnot."

He sighed and nodded. So she did catch that thought. "They are, somewhat." He looked over into her eyes, holding back from pulling her close and kissing her. "The feeding that we do... That is a very sensual and close thing. Usually kept for very sensual moments. Except for when it is needed. And you need to feed."

"Aaah, that's why it feels the way it does." She murmured. "I thought it was just me." She chuckled softly, running her fingers through her hair to push it back behind an ear out of her eyes. She felt a little better knowing it wasn't just her that the feeding affected to such an extreme.

He nodded. He was feeling a little separated from her. And he knew why. But he would wait for her. The ritual words could wait. "Come here." He whispered softly, cuddling up against her.
