"Just wondering if there was any ulterior motive to the new face." He replied. Masamune hasn't moved or said a word the whole time, his expression flat and bored.

“Oh? Do elaborate.” She asked, sitting back in her chair, her expression calm, but her eyes told him to choose his words carefully.

She knew Matsunaga was not afraid to speak his mind; especially if it meant getting under someone's skin.
"He saved you, did he not? Did you put him on payroll because you had a sort of princess syndrome with him?"
"That was out of line!" Kojurou blurted out angrily.

Megohime held her hand up to silence Kojurou, her expression remaining the same. “I’m sure you can understand, even with no Twilights on payroll, when one finds a good weapon, it’s most wise to attain it before it is lost.”

"Of course, I agree." He replied. Masamune scratched his inner ear with his pinkie and sniffed, not seeming to be bothered that he was the topic of interest, or shame. Shingen folded his arms.
"Not to take away from Matsunaga's odd Q&A, with you as the new head, we should expect regular and uninterrupted weapons shipments, Megohime-dono?"

“Of course.” Megohime nodded. “All contracts stand as they are, I see no reason to change or halt any shipments.” She answered Shingen, looking to him. “The delivery dates shall remain the same as well, but the locations will change, just as a precaution in case anyone else is being targeted.”

The meeting went on as it usually did and things were concluded before everyone was allowed to leave. Masamune put his katana across his shoulders and hung his arms from the ends.
"So all that was was some stuffy b.s. about who sucks whose dick?"
"Date!" Kojurou snapped but the young man didn't seem threatened.

Megohime had to stifle a laugh, a smirk slowly spreading across her face as they made their way to the car. “Of course,” She said with a nod. “You know how us important people are.”

“There is.” She said with a nod. “Although, I myself wonder why some meetings are held.” She muttered almost to herself.

Nana worked at at one of the few local orphanages, one specifically made for housing orphaned Twilight children. She herself was heavily pregnant, carrying her lovers child and due any day now. She was out with two children, taking them out to enjoy the nice weather. She held their hands in hers, her wispy black hair pulled into a pony tail, her bangs framing her face.

They were so young. Too young. It happened way too fast for her to register. There was a loud pop and the little girl on her right fell like she had tripped, blood seeping through the back of her clothes. Then another pop, and the boy on her left barely let out a scream before he too fell to the ground.

Their hands slipped out of hers and Nana watched the boy fall, then looked to the girl. “Ch...Cho..?!” She quickly fell to her knees and scooped up the girl before turning to the boy. “Micah..?” She could feel the blood on her hands, seeping into her clothes; she turned to look at the assailants behind her, eyes wide. The dying children before her both had tags around their necks, but Nana had nothing- she wasn’t a Twilight. “W...What have you done..!?” She shouted at them, tears streaming down her face. She was too shocked to be scared for her own safety, instead, trying to gather up both children to try and rush them to a doctor. “They’re only children..!” She had always been so cautious, always traveled the back alley ways with the children, made sure they were safe, and look at what had happened.

As soon as she got up, there was a white hot pain in her leg. One of them had shot her in the leg.
"A Tag is still a Tag. And we don't appreciate sympathisers."

Nana stumbled and collapsed to her knees, dropping the limp body of Micah, Cho starting to slip from her grasp as well. She let out a strangled cry of pain, blood leaking into the skirt of her dress. The pain was excruciating, and she now feared for her unborn child; she was only five months pregnant, and though it was obvious she was pregnant, it was clear the men didn’t care.

"Especially one that likes to go around fuckin' Tags, too. We seen you with that big fuck who runs the guild. Disgusting!" They fired another round into her and hit her in the back.

Nana felt like she had been punched hard in the back, the shot going through her shoulder and out her chest. She fell forward, still trying to clutch the whimpering girl in her hands, watching her own blood dripping onto the ground in front of her.

Another shot, this time much lower. She felt it through the small of her back and the burning pain seeped into her belly. Cho jerked a bit before suddenly falling limp, her final breath exhaling passed her lips.

Nana let out a sob, unable to keep herself up anymore, slumping forward on top of the children. She couldn’t move like she wanted to, only able to reach out and touch both children, caressing the boys cheek and holding the girl close.

Nana cried out when she was kicked, being separated from the two children, unable to fight back. She could feel that she was bleeding, a warm puddle of blood pooling beneath her.
