Pat soon realized as Betty tried Kara's version of a mocha, that nobody was going to use the hot water, so she made a second pot of coffee, but first used the water for a big batch of oatmeal, or at least, everyone's single serve of the one they wanted. At least it didn't go to waste.
Kara finally gave a smile to Noel. "I guess some good came out of all this. You get to hang out with your brother, your new friend and Candy and half her band. C'mon, I'll show you our games, that way, you can choose." The Zorels had besides Yahtzee, Battleship, Sorry! Life, Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivia Pursuit, Connect Four, and Dominos. Home versions of Jeopardy! Concentration, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune and what was obviously a box older than Kara, and about as old as her parents (if not at least older than Pat if not Lenard, too), of Match Game. Plus many, many puzzles everything from 300 all the way up to a 2500 piece of an Alpine village winter scene. Most the 300s were animals. There was a lot of cityscapes among the harder, including the neon signs of Times Square in a 2000 piece.
