My Girlfriend Cosplays Supergirl (w/KiraMusani)

Kara had to laugh as Noel mimicked Debbie Reynolds and looked to be in step with Gene Kelly (l-r on poster, Kelly, Reynolds, Donald O'Connor). "Cute!" She giggled. "Okay, got it!"

She then got on the phone with her mom telling her they were ready for pickup at the theatre which had a taxi stand. There was also a bus stop off property, about ten feet away. After a few minutes, Pat finally said, "Stay on the theatre property. I'll be there in 15. I just got permission from King Cab who partially owns the taxi stand to pick you up there, as long as you two hurry up and get in like you're getting in a cab. Alright? Love you both. Stay there. 15." She hung up.

Noel smiled and waited for Kara to finish on the phone.
"What should we do while we wait? or should we head straight to the pickup zone?" Noel asked.

(This could be the opportunity)

Kara made a face. She looked at the taxi stand right in front of the entrance and finally shook her head. A cab, but not King, pulled up and a couple that must have watched Batman went for it. "We'll wait for our 'cab' back away a bit like that couple, just so a cab that stops doesn't think we're the expected fare." She forgot that the name of the person being picked up had to be the same as the one who called in, and both did have pretty unusual names. The college guys apparently were up to no good as they continued to stand nearby as the crowd thinned out, both coming and going. Finally, the ticket vendor had to pull her shade, indicating no one could buy anymore tickets until closer to the next screen time of whichever movie. They still had seven minutes before Pat was due.

As the side of the street cleared the unfortunately familiar faces of those guys from the theater approached Noel and Kara.
"Hey, don't we know you from somewhere?" one asked looking them up and down, Noel instinctively putting herself between them and Kara, one hand back keeping Kara behind her.

Kara glared at them something that looked like a Princess Leia death stare (she loved the iconic character and knew most, if not all her insults), which just caused some derisive laughter and a remark about always wanting to feel up a space Princess.

"Try it buster, and you'll lose that hand." She understood why Noel wanted to stay between her and them. She was in a mood to take them all on... Which wouldn't end well. She wasn't really Supergirl, after all, and even Leia knew better to take on the current odds.

The three degenerates all laughed as Kara threatened them. "Oh yeah, why don't we take you into that ally there and you can, heh, make us lose our hands there" He teased walking up to her, Noel still in the way.
"Don't!" Noel shouted at them.

"Out of the way pipsqueak! We are going to have some fun with your Princess here" He threatened as he tried to Push Noel out of the way. But as he moved to place both hands on her she grabbed one of them and moved under his arm twisting it.
"Gah! let go you freak!" He demanded as Noel moved behind him, twisting his arm up to his back.
"I got this shit!" One of the others called out swinging a wide haymaker ESC punch toward Noel who dropped her weight and pulled the guy's arm she had down, bringing his head in the path of the punch at the last minute, one of the guys knocking his buddy out cold, his arm twisted up something nasty on the ground as Noel released him.

"I warned you now- gah!" Noel started to speak up when the third grabbed her from behind.
"Oh shit I think this is actually a chick!" he called out as one of his hands grabbed Noel's chest.
"Let Go!" She shouted, twisting in his grasp, kicking his knee with one leg as she reached up to grasp the back of his neck and flip him over her, flat on his back into the pavement. Though before he could get up or even speak Noel stomped on his face, causing blood to come from a surely broken nose as his hands moved to cover his face.

"Wait your that Psycho bitch that seduced then attack those guys on the news!" The last guy pointed to her before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small knife.
"Fuck you!" He ran over to her and thrust to stab her, but she turned sideways and trapped his knife hand under her arm. With a twisted drop of her weight, she caused him to stumble forward, which she used to pull him more forward and jump over and around his back sideways, still holding his arm a loud crack was heard as it was surly broken and he dropped the knife. WHich Noel quickly slid away with her foot before, delivering a hefty sidekick to the final guy's ribs.

Kara was speechless. A small crowd had gathered across the street by the time the second one was rounded on. By the time the third one was defeated police brass had come running. Several just couldn't believe their eyes.

Witnesses and Kara saw the truth and just before the questioning began, Kara and a few witnesses were bowing to her saying, "We're not worthy!"

"Out cold." Some sergeant said.

A captain actually saluted Noel, before addressing her. "Young lady, I am afraid I'm going to have to interfere with your time a little. Standard procedure, even for heroes. Will you please tell me how this got started?"

The crowd which had crossed over but stayed back, all started giving their eyewitness account about how the three college guys that were now in need of the hospital had threatened the two. One mentioned overhearing the exchange a few minutes before the two intended victims came out of the theatre that those three had just been banned from the there. The cacophony was seemingly all at once... Much like the one sided fight had been.

A recognized voice. Penny's. Could be heard saying, "One at a time! One. At a. Time!" Two officers surrounded Kara and was barraging her with questions.

Mercifully and miraculously, the Captain was keeping everyone back from Noel, where only he was talking to her. The man was as polite and non-threatening as Lenard, if not even slightly older, which should help Noel be at ease with him. Besides he wasn't right on top of her like most officers are wont to do, he was probably 18" away and trying to hold that radius. Not knowing Penny, a newly commissioned detective, was known to the girls, he had her positioned in Noel's eyesight, but the same distance from her that he himself was. Noel had two choices, the kindly older Lenard like Captain, or her budding friend, the new Detective Brown.

During the fight, Noel was laser-focused on the men she had been in combat with, and immediately after the fight, she stood straight with her shoulders back slightly and her chest puffing out slightly as she took deep breaths through her nose. Her hand shook slightly for those who would notice that sort of thing. Though once it was done she immediately looked toward Kara to make sure she was okay and notice the attention that was drawn. It made perfect sense and was bound to happen, but still somehow surprised her.

As she saw the bowing and chanting she closed in, her arms closing around her chest and a look that the more intuitive would read as hidden fear.
"w-what, I.. umm" She mumbled unable to speak over the chanting crowd.

When the Captin approached her she panicked a little, but only showed it by freezing up. She jumped a little at the salute but nervously returned it.
"Oh I uhh...y-yeah, well umm I... umm well, I mean, uhh they..." Noel nodded had gone from an ass-kicking superstar to a scared looking girl in a matter of seconds. She was going to try and talk to the new kindly Captain but noticed Penny a familiar face she felt more comfortable with.

"Oh umm, P-Penny, I uhh, I know her" She stated her voice soft and slightly higher pitched than her regular voice, which Penny might have noticed, but it would have been the only Voice the Captain would have heard from her.

The Captain was just nodding. "It's okay. Breathe." He then showed the standard method. Through the nose, and blowing out through the mouth. "Hmm, oh really? Then you'd rather tell her? I think we can do that..." He then looked over to Penny. "Detective. You couldn't wait for your trial by fire. Well, here it is."

Penny saluted and came over, pen and pad in hand. The detective traded pads with the Captain since she had been trying to get information... Or rather witnesses to talk one at a time. She noticed it was Noel she blinked. "Noel? Oh. This is awkward. I noticed that the Captain hadn't had a chance yet, so I have to inform you that this is an investigation. We're only asking questions to see if a crime has actually taken place. Do you understand that?"

While she calmly talked to Noel, the Captain sort of lost his cool Lenard like personality. "Decorum!" He barked. "This is how this is going to be handled. If you actually witnessed what happened first hand via eye and ear, I want you over here! The rest of you need to get out of our way! Corporal! Sergeant! Let the girl finish! You're scaring her half to death! We do NOT badger witnesses!" He was almost five feet away from Noel by that point.

Penny sighed, that Cap is a decent guy if you're decent with him. A regular teddy bear. Unfortunately, the grizzly does come out if directions aren't followed." She looked at Noel. "Starting at the beginning, reconstruction the events the best you can. Don't forget to breathe like the Cap showed you. Through the nose..." She breathed in deeply, "out the mouth." She blew the breath out, "and when you're ready."

As she was told to breathe she nodded, that was at least something she was used to, breathing was a huge part of the martial arts she learned. She did as asked almost immediately, continuing to do so as he called Penny over.

Noel seemed to relax a little as Penny started talking to her, though her arms were still clenched tightly over her chest. She listened to Penny as she spoke and nodded in response to her to shower that she understood, even speaking but albeit quietly.
"I understand..."

Noel jumped a little as the Captin started to shout at the others, shaken even though she knew it wasn't her being yelled at. Though she was relieved that he was sure to give Kara a break.

"Heh, yeah I kn-know the type" Noel tried to speak up and calm her nerves, taking her advice and taking a few deep breaths before speaking.
"R-right, I umm I'll try to be a good witness. Umm Well they approached us, they threatened to grope Kara she spoke back against them. Then they tried to grab her, I gave a verbal warning before they continued to attempt to assault her. Telling us they were going to take her into the ally for some uhh, fun. I Defended us by umm, neutralizing them, but only after each one attacked." She told her.

Meanwhile, the officers questioning Kara felt more like an interrogation, even after the warning from the captain, in which they just backed up a bit and called it good.
"What happened? Why did your friend beat up those men? Did you have anything to do with them getting banned from the theater?"

Kara had clammed up and was close to tears, until the Captain dragged both the other brass away from her. "What did I just say?! She can't answer if you don't let her! No more asking questions for you two! Crowd control! Keep the rest of the crowd away from the actual witnesses!" He pushed them both towards the crowd and assigned a female sergeant to get Kara's statement. Pepper ended up being a lot milder than the other two, and after Pepper showed Kara the same breathing technique the Captain and Penny showed to Noel, Kara was finally able to open up and explain the events.

Penny wrote quickly as Noel recalled the events. "They actually threatened to grope her?" Even she knew that was a redundant question. She just couldn't believe the audacity. She glanced over to Kara and took a relaxing breath herself. "What exactly did Kara say to the threat?" Penny really frowned when it was learned the frat boys had rape in mind. She was starting to see this as self defense, and especially since the knife, already placed in an evidence bag, had been discovered on the ground. Once Penny got the answer to the question, she'd be back over to the Captain.

Noel thought for a moment.
"I don't remember her exact words, but it was something along the lines of keeping their hands off her, or she would break it, or remove it or something? Basically not to touch her" She told her a little nervous.
"But I mean, it was only to get them to leave us alone, she wasn't actually going to attack them" she tried to defend her.

One of the forensics poked Penny and showed her the knife. She nodded and made a motion, but Noel wouldn't see it make it to Penny's hand. "That superficial scratch on your arm? Did you have it before the fight?" She then baited Noel slightly to go along with her guess. "Kara has a cat doesn't she?" Maybe Noel already knew, but Penny still motioned to her lower arm below the elbow where Noel would have caught the knife wielder's arm. Or, maybe, Tabby really had got her slightly while playing.

"Huh?" Noel looked at her arm seeing the scratch.
"I hadn't noticed" She stated as she looked at her arm, nodding at Penny's mention of a cat.
Noel would make the action but then winced as her arm hit her body. Moving her hand to her side where she would discover a hole in her shirt at about chest level, not far under the armpit.

Penny sighed as Noel made a nod about Tabby. She raised an eyebrow, as Noel made a fuss or slight scene. She hadn't seen the hole, as she was observant... Just not THAT observant. Maybe the captain would have seen the damage to the shirt, or Pepper who was with Kara, definitely Sherlock Holmes would, but not Penny Brown. She missed it. "It's not anything serious, as far as medically, I'm sure it's nothing. We should continue with the investigation. Did any of those college guys have any weapons? Or did you see any?"

Noel nodded.
"Yeah, the third one pulled a knife, I disarmed it, and kicked it back" She looked down and started to look for the knife on the ground.
"It should be around here somewhere, It was a switchblade I think"

Penny held up the knife in its evidence bag. "This it?" She made a motion towards the police woman patting Kara on her shoulder while talking to her. "Sergeant Pepper Anderson there spotted it, but someone not with a witness recovered it. I will say you girls were extremely lucky so much police brass was around at the Space Needle park honoring my promotion. Even I'm glad it was today, now. I'll also go so far as commend you on your knowledge of self-defense." She then gave a teasing wink as she said, "Just next time, leave some of the perp for the police... We don't always like leftovers!" A breath. "I believe that's all we need. I know where you live if there's anything further." She excused herself and went to brief the Captain.

Noel seemed a little nervous now seeing the knife.
"Ye-yeah that's it" She nodded. Blushing lightly at her commendation and the wink.
"R-right, sorry, everything just happened so fast.." She mumbled a little, rubbing the back of her head.

Once Penny excused herself Noel let out a deep breath, even though she knew Penny, and her being a girl close to her age helped, the uniform still made her feel nervous, not to mention the scenario it's self-being nerve-racking.

Noel would make her way to Kara as soon as she could and grab each of her hands in her own looking her over.
"Are you okay? they didn't touch you did they?" she asked still worried she may have missed something.

Kara was likewise glad to see Noel. "No. The only time I was scared was when those first two wouldn't even give me time to answer a question. I was starting to feel like I was being suspected, the Sergeant Pepper told me to breathe and that was an investigation. I had to mention right away how that they even accused me of being the reason the guys were thrown out of the theatre." Then she squeaked, "Hug me?"

Pat made her way through the thinning crowd and asked Penny, having recognized her, if Noel and Kara were alright, and where were they. Penny pointed their way, and finished up with the captain. Pat made her way to them and pulled both into a group hug. "I came by and saw all the police here, I got so worried. Glad you both are okay. If you're up to it, we'll go eat now. If not... We'll just go home."

Turned out the police didn't need Kara's mention of the frat guys banning, because one of the witnesses to the throwdown was the bespectacled girl from the tripping incident. Those three would be lucky to be allowed on the block again by the time the police get done with them.

Noel listened intently to Kara, nodding along with everything as she explained it, all the while holding both her hands. Though as she squeaked to hug, there was zero hesitation as Noel embraced Kara into her arms, holding her tightly.

As pat came over and pulled the already hugging couple into a group hug she held fast, looking over to see her before she had held them to see who it was.
"If Kara is okay to eat still I am too, if not I would be happy to just go home" Noel spoke up, looking at Kara for what she wanted to do, some tears in Noel's eyes as it seemed she started to tear up as they had hugged. Though it didn't seem like she was crying.

"I've been wanting to go to Pair like forever. What if Dad gets the promotion? He said we're having pizza. No, I still wanna go, and I'm not letting those bullies take that from us."

Pat nodded. "That's fine. I had to park up by the Space Needle, so let's go to the car. Are you okay, Noel?"

Noel nodded at what Kara had said before looking up to Pat.
"Hmm? Oh, umm yeah, it's just my emotions are all over the place, once we get in the car and drove for a bit I'll be fine." She replied wiping the tears from her face.
"It was just the adrenaline from the fight, to the interview, then seeing Kara is okay, just jumping all over really quickly is all, I just need to gather myself." She stated again seeming like she might have just been overstimulated from all the action.
"Heh, you would not believe the crazy impulses I am suppressing right now, I don't know why I said that, I am going to stop talking now..."

Just like the two that kidnapped Noel, the three college frats also tried to pin the blame on Kara and Noel from their hospital beds. Frustrated, and walking out, pushing by the captain and almost into her chief, Penny shot her opinion at them. "No freaking wonder so many women become lesbians with punks like you guys! If you would actually take responsibility for your own actions... I'm done!"

The Captain then said. "That was exactly what I was thinking, hearing your allegations... But it would have sounded strange coming from me, a guy. You three need to take a good hard look at yourselves because you are facing some hefty charges. You'd be wise to admit to what you've done as it'll go easier on you."

They would have no chance at an attempted frivolous lawsuit. The judge that saw it would throw it out, and them with it.

Meanwhile, the six mile drive to the restaurant was quiet. Noel's announcement had kind of thrown both for a loop, but neither saw it as a threat to life or limb. Kara just sat there in the back holding hands with Noel, which gave her a sense of things returning to normal.

Pat parked the car and turned to the two. "Girls... As much as I would love to let you two sit separately so you can finish your date... I'm afraid I'm too scared for your safety. Obviously you can take care of yourself and Kara, Noel. That's not why. Call it a mother's intuition if you like, but I'll feel better if I can better watch those that come by our table. Even the wait staff. You two do NOT need a repeat of what just happened. We'll still have separate bills, so Kara can still pay for your dinners... But we're sitting together. Let's go eat."

Once in the car and the backseat with Kara, Noel once again took the middle seat, wincing as she strapped her seatbelt on but not thinking much of it before grabbing Kara's hand and enjoying the silent ride to clear her mind. For most of the ride, Noel would lay her head on Kara and rest it there, sudo snuggling with her in the back seat as they made their way to the restaurant.

Noel looked over at Pat as she explained what was going to happen, staying quiet until she had finished speaking.
"Oh it's not a problem at all, I was going to ask you to join us if you hadn't said that, honestly I am a little sick of all the stares we get alone when we are with you people will likely think we are a family, not a date, and be less judgy. So umm please escort us" She smiled and seemed much more relaxed now than she was before the car ride.

Somehow Pat wasn't surprised at Kara not saying anything about the change of plans, but was at Noel's revelation. "For all the preaching of tolerance people make, or shall I say certain people make... " She stopped, but did parental guide them in. A barely audible, "hypocrites don't understand love" could be heard from Pat though, which at least proved Kara's point about at least Pat being understanding.

They were seated at a four person table with chairs, with Noel and Kara across from each other and Pat as Noel's wing, Pat asked for coffee to start while Kara had asked for iced tea, while simultaneously asking Noel what she wanted.
