My Girlfriend Cosplays Supergirl (w/KiraMusani)

Noel shook her head and continued to pull on her restraints, an orderly came rushing in the with the younger nurse.
"No! No! no no no! Let me out! Please! Let me out! Ahhhh!!" she seemed to yell over her.
"We need to sedate her" the nurse called out the orderly quickly getting a needle ready.

Jeffery paused for a moment before replying, looking over at Kara as he said the word 'crush'.
"Oh, I see, Well, either way, thank you for taking care of her, I hope she hasn't caused you all any trouble. Uh, so, Kara? was it? had a crush on Noella? and you and the cop called her Noel, is that a name you guys gave her or?" He asked seeming more curious than anything.
"Also I haven't heard much of what has happened to land her in here today, but she doesn't sound good in there" He stated as Noel'sscreams managed to pierce through the walls.

Christine ran into the room to help hold Noel down. Brinker had no choice, nodding to the doctor to put the inhibitor back on, as she didn't know what else she could do. The restraints were there for not only Noel's safety but the others. She kept trying to calmly get Noel calmed down. One of the other doctors was going to have to give the shot though. "We can't help you or let you out of these until you calm down! Think of what this is sounding like to your family! Think of how this could be hurting the Zorels! Especially Kara!" Maybe it was desperation, but Brinker had to try a Hail Mary pass at this point.

Brinker didn't know how right she was as Kara started sniffling as she heard the commotion. Lenard moved so he was sitting between Jeffrey and Kara now, rubbing Kara's back. "It's actually what she wanted us to call her." Lenard answered. "I never pushed Kara here for information of what they talked about, but they'd have had numerous talks.

As Brinker helped hold Noel, she looked at the doctor who had had wonderful success with Maria, currently sleeping through all this. "I hope you'll have my back on this... But I think we need to investigate what was going on at the psychiatric institution Noel was in. Nobody should be going this apeshit bonkers over restraints!"

The orderly was running ready with the shot but hesitated as Christine helped hold her down. Noel squirmed a bit more as she felt held down more, but the words finally started to get through. Kara was watching? she was seeing her like this? She looked around now, actually taking in what was around her, Christine, Dr.Brinker, these people have done nothing but try and help her, try and make her feel safe.

She stopped squirming, her heart still racing a mile a minute as she caught her breath, she looked back and forth between Christine and Dr. Brinker before she started to speak more calmly.
"Okay... okay, I am calm, can you please take these off? I don't like them, please?" She almost seems to beg but did indeed seem calm, or at least not going berzerk. She was shaking, and her heart rate was high, looking into her eyes, she was clearly in some sort of distress still.

Jeffery sat back into his chair. "huh? really? I wonder where she got that from" He said out loud, though mostly to himself. "This sounds a lot like last time we saw her, it doesn't sound like that las hospital helped at all, but why would they let her go if she was still sick?" he added.

Dr. Brinker made a face. "Noel... Honey... I'm pretty sure you realize I can't right now. Not until we're absolutely sure you stay calm. We can only loosen them a little." She looked askance about that from one of the nurses as Noel would feel a reassuring Pat from both Christine and the security guard on duty that would be asked to escort patients to six. "Let's talk about that, though, especially since it was done so you wouldn't hurt anyone after those night terrors." She cleared her throat. "Help me understand what is so scary about the restraints."

Lenard frowned in thought. "Considering what the name means, I'm going to want to lean towards a means of starting over?" He shook his head as for the second part of that. "From the way Wallace acted earlier towards us.... Very accusing... Disrespecting the hospital staff... Talking to both Dr. Brinker and Detective Andersen like he knew better than anyone else.... Well, it sounds like they could've cared less, unfortunately. Maybe she made one too many questions regarding her treatment? That last part, you'd have to ask her."

Noel looked at Dr. Brinker with sad eyes still squirming a little, the nurse shaking her head no with a sympathetic look on her face as she was asked to loosen her restraints.
"I won't hurt anyone I promise, I didn't mean to hurt anyone before, I, I just got confused, I am okay now, I promise, please take them off" she continued to beg before she asked about the restraints.
"I don't know, I can't move, wh-what if, I mean, I am vulnerable I just, I, it's silly I know but all I can think of is that someone could attack me right now and I couldn't do anything about it" she stated looking around the room.
"Where is Kara? c-can I see her at least? I, I won't ask her to take these off" she promised.

Jeffery nodded as he spoke, then replied.
"Yeah that makes sense, also yeah that doctor always did rub me the wrong way, but he was reportedly the best for trauma victims, which is why my, or our father chose him" he explained.
"And I guess we will have to wait for that" he looked back toward the room.

Brinker looked now at the doctor that she had lobbied to get Noel. She glanced down at Noel, before slowly sitting in the chair and looking again at her peer. She was put in a bad predicament. She really hadn't wanted to ask Noel any difficult questions, but here was a difficult answer that actually caused more questions. "Noel... Did things like that happen before? Can you talk about it?" She motioned with head to the door, shooing the nurses, but motioned for Christine to remain with her and the doctor.

Noel fidgeted with her restraints some more. "I don't know maybe? It, I, maybe it was a dream I don't know." She shook her head
"I don't know! can I see Kara now? is she here please?" she begged.

The Doctor had already left, presumedly to get her, because a minute later she was in, holding herself in a self hug, standing at the foot of the bed, biting her lower lip and looking at Noel, trying to smile, but it didn't mask her worry or tears in her eyes.

Christine urged her to get a little closer, but Kara was looking between the two doctors now, "You're not... I mean... She doesn't..." She whined.

Brinker continued to reassuringly pat Noel's hand. She had just managed to ask Noel, "You don't know why you're afraid of restraints?" Her face shown the concern in her voice. They were back to square one. The hospital issued doctor was going to have to gain access to those files as Brinker wasn't sure her police credentials and doctorate alone would do it, since neither Noel or that institution were under investigation. She momentarily looked at the nervous sniffling Kara. "We aren't going to have to sedate you, are we?" She raised an eyebrow, not liking what she was seeing. It had affected Kara worse than she realized. "What are you afraid of, Kara?"

"You guys taking her away." Kara whimpered.

"Well... In all reality, that is up to both of you, isn't it? She asked for you, so come on over here. That's it." She looked at an orderly. "Can we get her a chair?"

Lenard shook his head, yet nodded at Jeffrey. "Was really hoping to take her home. She wanted to help Kara make her Italian dish tonight. Let's hope all our questions are answered. And sooner rather than later."

Pat said something about the last two days in a strong Australian accent, that actually could have bordered on being a rude remark towards the days and not the villains who caused this.

Noel did her best to look at Kara as she stood at the foot of her bed, her restraints making it a little difficult to look over her body at her. The look on her face not unlike Kara’s but with a dash of fear thrown in as well.

She almost broke out in a cry as she heard Kara’s stumbling question, fearing the same thing herself. Then being patted and asked a question by Dr. Brinker.
“No, I mean, I know I am afraid of being s-s-sta-stabbed” she hardly even managed to get the word out as she tried in vain to mask the fear in her eyes.

Noel couldn’t hold tears back any longer once she heard Brinker ask Kara if they would need to sedate her, and what she was afraid. Wincing at the response, a question she was too afraid to ask herself out loud, she might need to return to the psych ward?! That was the last thing she wanted!

Noel started to worsen for just a moment after they discussed taking her away from Kara, but the soon after approaching Kara to her bedside seemed to be enough to calm her back down a little, though she still wasn’t fully calm.

The orderly nodded and got a chair for Kara to sit on, handing it over to Dr. Brinker to put where she wanted. Once Kara had seen seated Noel looked at her, tears still dripping down her cheeks as her hands were bound and she could not clean them off.
“He-Hey” She did her best to smile, and although her voice as a little shaky she did her best to speak softly to Kara.
“I umm, I missed you.”

——————

Jeffery looked over a little surprised when Kara was called before listening to her parents speak.

“Yeah, that is the first thing that makes sense, she was always asking our mother to help her with the cooking, and usually she let her if Father didn’t need her for training. The strangest or I guess best thing about all this is that, Noel made a friend, she hasn’t had one before. I don’t know you if you know this but she was homeschooled before high school so didn’t really interact with any kids, then high school was another horror story in its self for her. Unfortunately we had no idea.” He replied looking to Lenard before not quite hearing Pats response.

“I have no idea what the past two days may have been like for all of you, I originally came to pick her up and bring her back to my fathers, but it seems like she had already found a home with all of you, of course I would still like to ask her, and if that is what you still want of course, I’d understand if she brought turmoil to your house and you would want that out.” He offered addressing both of them but looking toward Pat more.

Brinker nodded with a chuckle. "Noel, honey... We're all afraid of that, and we're lying to ourselves if we can't admit it. I'll be right back." She walked over to the doctor. "Suppressed Memories. Something had to have happened. Even if it's just abuse of power via keeping her bound. All my instincts as a woman is telling me to get her out of those."

Kara tried to smile. "Me too. Missing you, I mean. They'd throw away the key if it was missing me... Uhh, guess that would be myself." She took the closest hand in both of hers, but did nothing more than hold it.

Brinker came back over to sit at the head of the bed again. "Noel? As long as Kara is here, can you share with us about what you can remember about your home life? We got someone waiting to see you after Kara if you want to. This person has been real nice to the Zorels and is actually still talking to Lenard.

Lenard shook his head. "She hasn't been any trouble. In fact, the opposite. A bit too apologetic about not understanding something. She's also in the running for a possible starting position on the basketball team. Some guard position is about all I could figure out by talking to the girls. Kara is actually more excited than Noel about it, if you can believe that."

Noel nodded to Brinker before she left then turned to Kara with a smile and a sniffle.
"Heh, trust me you don't want them throwing that key away, being crazy isn't a fun time," she told her trying to stay light-hearted.
"Sorry I must look really gross right now" She smiled lightly at her again, the feel of Kara's hands-on hers actually calming her down some as her heart rate began to drop closer to normal levels.

"My home life? I mean yeah of course, who is here? But, I, I don't want Kara to leave" She tried to hold Kara's hand back with her own hand as best she could as it was restrained by the wrist.

----

Jeffery returned a smile as he replied.
"That is amazing, she never was into sports so I am more surprised that she tried out in the first place, I mean she knows all the rules because we watched every sport under the sun as a family, but she never showed that much interest. And the Apologetic thing makes sense, our Father wasn't a huge fan of mistakes, I think he was especially hard on Noel, she is the only girl after me and my two brothers, other than our mother of course." He paused for a moment.
"I am not sure if I should go now, it sounds like she found something nice with you guys, seeing me might bring back the past for her, and I would hate to ruin the progress she has made" He spoke out loud but was looking toward the door of her room.

Lenard shook his head. "Don't sell yourself short just yet. Let Noel decide whether to see you or not."

Pat snorted. "Sell yourself short', dint we jus have this conversation with Noel prior to all this about something or other?" She asked. She then looked at Jeffrey. "'Eez gotta point, mate, keep your buns Inna chair til ya hear otherwise from a doctor."

Brinker nodded. "Sure. I can't see what harm that'll cause. And the gentleman has been just that towards Lenard, they've been sitting there just chatting all cordial like for the past hour or so."

"A far cry from your old doctor." Christine huffed. "He was even respectful towards me." She saw Brinker's aggravated stare at her and silenced herself.

"Anyhoo... It's up to you whether you want to see him or not. I believe it's your other emergency contact. All the way from out of state."

Jeffery nodded and smiled at the couple "Heh, yeah don't worry I am in no rush, and Noel can sometimes be a bit sensitive about her height, believe it or not, I am the shortest after her of our siblings, our mother is just shy of six-foot, so she always felt a little out of place because of it." He paused for a moment.
"What I mean is a phrase like 'sell yourself short' might get to her a little" He explained with a charismatic smile.
"Though it probably didn't help that I nicknamed her Tiny, I was the only one who used it and she seemed to take it in stride, usually sending back some sort of riff"

Noel thought for a moment.
"My other contact? who? umm okay if they are here send them in I suppose" She told her seeming nervous, taking a deep breath and looking up at Kara before giving her a smile.

Brinker sighed. "Since you're not fully sure, I'll stay also. Your doctor left on an errand, but you'll have Kara, myself, Christine, and a nurse just hanging out. For support." She then nodded to Christine who nodded back and went to get Jeffrey.

Christine explained the situation on how they weren't too sure yet on releasing the restraints, how Noel insisted Kara stayed, and Dr. Brinker, who was a psychologist for the police department had volunteered herself and Christine for friendly faces as well. "So... It's going to be pretty high in the estrogen count in there, so no panic from you, please." She grinned.

Noel nodded at the thought, having a guess at who might be coming in but she wasn't sure, she thought she replaced her contacts with Dr. Wallace, but she had forgotten if she made a secondary contact or not. She got more nervous about her current vulnerable state.

Jeffery stood up as he was invited in, his large stature once again becoming apparent.
"Right I'll do my best to keep things calm in there and try not to let my testosterone throw off the balance." He held up his hands and smiled.
He took a moment before looking at the others. "Wish me luck"

Noel's eyes were on the door as Jeffery walked in, upon seeing his smiling face, she let out what sounded like a sigh of relief as her head fell back onto the pillow.
"Hey Tiny, long time no, wow, what happened to your hair?" He said as he slowly approached the bed, stopping just out of reach of her, but close enough that Kara wouldn't need to turn to see him.

"Oh my god, Jeff, how did you know I was here, you didn't tell the others did you? And don't mind about my hair that is a long story" She rolled her eyes at him.

"I got an anonymous text message, and no I didn't even know if it was true till I called into the hospital on the way in. And then saw you here now, but no I am the only one who knows, and I will keep it that way" He assured.

"Thanks, Oh and you are lucky I can't get off this bed or I would have you eat dirty for calling me TIny," She told him smiling, looking to her for a moment.

"Haha, why do you think I was so brave?" He replied with a chuckle and a smile.
"So I heard that you are pretty close friends with Kara here, and you are roommates even," He asked raising a brow.

"Ye-Yeah we uhh we are best friends I..." She paused for a moment mid reply as she looked at Kara.
"No, I umm, I don't want to lie about that we uhh, we are d-dating," she said her voice sounding almost ashamed or afraid of his possible response, her hand holding Kara's as best she could.

"Well I mean I am more surprised you told me than of the news itself" He smiled as a reply.
"I mean with that hair, and you two are holding hands, plus there is a vibe you know?"

"What? I mean I umm, you don't care? or I mean, your not like mad or whatever?" She asked seeming both confused and relieved, her heart rate and other signs of stress lower then they were before he had entered.

"Of course not, you think I bought into Father's nonsense? My best friend in college was gay, plus I called this when you were like five" He told her with a smirk

"Heh, Shut up no you didn't!" She laughed and jokingly argued back.

"Hey you only played with the female dolls mother gave you and always hated to wear dresses, plus you have never admitted to liking a boy even guys like brad pit you said and I quote, 'aren't that hot' but were quick at agreeing how we all found some of the actresses cute," he told her in a cocky tone.

"I... holy shit, Heh I totally did that stuff, I didn't even think of that!" she exclaimed in sudden realization.

Dr. Brinker smiled as things continued to improve and Noel's vital signs continued to improve. "So...? Formal introductions, Noel?"

Kara, meanwhile blushed at "roommates" and blushed even harder at dating. "One date. One. That... Sleepover that was a disaster for all of us and sent the British girl home to London. Rather not go into the details... That's kinda when my folks offered a place to Noel, because even my cousin bailed because of it and shacked up with her boyfriend. I did everything including singing and acting out the actions in Ray Stevens The Streak to get everyone to cool down. Captain N is still pissed off about it." Looking at her hands holding Noel's hand, she said, "We still need a proper one before we can actually consider it dating. Seeing each other... Yeah. That works."

Christine chuckled. "So, who did you have the hots for? My girl crush was Melissa Joan Hart."

"Selena Gomez in Wizards of Waverly Place." Kara smirked. "I think I howled the first time I saw her. You'd have to ask my 'rents for confirmation on that, though."

Dr. Brinker laughed. "I just might do that, Kara!" She remained silent, because her first girl crush was a cartoon character. She's better now.

Noel looked over to Dr. Brinker as she spoke up.
"Oh right, umm Kara, Dr. Brinker, Christine, this is my youngest, older brother Jeff, or umm Jeffery I suppose, I just call him Jeff. Jeff, Kara, Dr. Brinker, and Christine, they umm, Christine is an officer who helped find the serial kidnappers. And Dr. Brinker was here to help me when I woke up here." She paused for a moment before looking over to the other bed.
"Oh! and that over there is Maria, she was another victim, but she had it a lot worse then I did." Noel tried her best to gesture with her head as she introduced everyone.

Noel paused at the question.
"Ummm, I don't think I ever really had a crush on any of them, at least not that I was aware of, I mean I usually just agreed when the guys said she was pretty and stuff." She looked over to Jeffery to see if he had any input.

"Hmm, yeah I don't recall you being overly excited about any of the female actresses, she just kind of agreed with us when we talked about how attractive they were, though they assumed she was trying to fit in with us." He stated.
"Though you did like that robot girl cartoon, and that one with all the superheroes in it" he added.

"Those were cartoons, umm, I think the first time I realized I had a crush was with Kara actually." She looked up at Kara lovingly.

"Wow that's so sweet I think we all just got diabetes" Jeff stated with a smirk, wich Noel turned and stuck her tongue out at him.
"Oh! show them the tongue thing, I'm sure Kara would be excited to see it" he smirked and winked at Kara.

"I already showed her actually, and I can't because you know, I need my hand for the eye part, plus I am pretty sure she was more grossed out than anything"

Kara nodded in agreement with the tongue thing grossing her out, adding the ick face for good measure. "Detective Andersen got on me for not knowing who Gene Simmons was."

Christine sounded hurt. "Oh! Detective Andersen is it now? For your information, I'm not a Kiss fan either. I just couldn't believe you didn't know who he was. I thought EVERYONE had heard of him!" She then raised an eyebrow, "Or are you just being polite since you're not 18 yet? Even though you had my permission already to call me by my first name, unless we're discussing the case?" Christine then nodded to Jeffrey. "Pleasure to formally meet."

The others did likewise, and again Kara had cause to blush with she being first crush. "Superheroes, huh? So, when you met me in costume?" She looked at Jeffrey. "I cosplay the DC Super Hero Girls... Original look... Version of Supergirl, went to school dressed like that as I had a meeting with the comic book store manager and two other cosplayers about Halloween Fest last Saturday in October." She shrugged. "It's basically a second Free Comic Book Day, like the one every first Saturday in May."

Jeffery chuckled as Kara mentioned her cosplay as supergirl.
"The pleasure is all mine", it's good to know Noel isn't just living on the streets or something, we were worried for her.
"Well I am not sure what that is but, I am sure Noel just loved it." he smiled before turning to Christine.

Noel hesitated a little feeling bad about not telling them where she was.
"Well, I did love seeing Kara in the supergirl outfit, which I know you don't see the irony of giving her name, but I am sorry I just left like that, it was umm complicated." She spoke up a little.
"Uhh, how long do I need to be in these?" she asked squirming a little in her restraints still.

"Are those really necessary?" Jeff asked looking toward the others, the orderlies and nurses had left to give the family time to talk, so he ended up looking at Christine and Brinker.

Brinker shook her head. "I don't think so anymore. I wasn't keen on it once her heart rate and other vitals returned to normal." She looked around for a hospital hired doctor... Even if it was Noel's... Just so she could recommend removing them; momentarily forgetting as an officer of the law, she actually had the power to override without an okay, and remove them herself. It was clear Noel was calm.

Kara made a face. "I don't think I get it. My last name is Slovak. Well, the spelling is. The Americanized version would be Sorrel. Being traditional, it would be spelled with a 'Z' and only one 'R'." She knew the fictional character's name had the dash and was even pronounced different.

Noel looked at Brinker as she looked around, "I would really like to get out of these"
She then looked to Kara as she defended her last name.
"Yeah but you must admit the similarities are pretty crazy right? the near-identical, and the looks basically the same, plus you are a fan" She suggested when Jeffery spoke up.
"Well maybe she is a fan because of those similarities, as a kid, she may have found the familiarity comforting and was pulled toward it" He suggested.

Kara smirked. "Actually... I cosplayed as Kitty Pryde first. I have only been Supergirl for about the last three years?" Another similarity, although she didn't realize it. Supergirl didn't come to earth originally, until she was fifteen also, as anyone familiar with the silver age version could attest.

Brinker shook her head and started unstrapping Noel. If anyone asked she'd tell them she was exercising her police officer pull as well as her psychologist pull. Jeffrey might be close enough to hear her mutter, "Enough is enough. Tired of waiting for a hospital doctor to come in."

Noel smiled brightly as Kara mentioned kitty pride.
“Oh! She was my favorite x-men!” She Had also not put together the age of supergirl when she came to earth, getting much to distracted by the Kitty Pride coincidence. She looked down as she saw Brinker removing her restraints, looking quite relived pulling her hands out and rubbing her wrists while sitting up.

“Thanks, umm Dr. Brinker” She smiled to her and took a deep breath before seeming to relax a bit more. Turning to hug Kara.

Jeffery, smirked as he heard that statement, but didn’t draw attention toward it.
“So Noel, how exactly did you get here in the first place? I know it had something to do with a kidnapping but, what do you remember?” Jeffery asked boldly looking at the now freed Noel.

“Oh, well umm, I went for a run, since my morning exercise was cut short, and Kara was doing dishes. I was listening to music as I ran, but I accidentally pulled the headphones out of my phone so I stopped to fix them, then uhh.. after that I was waking up, cuffed and in their van..” She started when Jeffery spoke up.

“Wait wasn’t their other victims before you, did you know these guys were out there?” He asked.

“Umm yeah I was actually helping with the investigation, since we thought it might be Steve, uhh, it’s not by the way, if you guys don’t know that yet. And there was an attempt earlier that night by the school, which is where all the attempts and successes had been.” She explained.

“You went out alone with these guys out there?” He asked raising his brow.

“Well they were only doing it by the school, and it tricked people into the van before, they never umm did whatever happened to me” She argues.

“Right well, sorry, continue” he apologized.

“Umm well, I woke up, but kept my eyes closed at first until I heard them then looked around, they hadn’t noticed me so I tried to turn location finder on my phone. But with my hands tied it was difficult and they had parked the car before I could, so I hid the phone and pretended to still be out, hoping they might untie me..” she paused at that moment and seemed hesitant to continue.

“Go on” he encouraged.

Dr. Brinker teased Noel with a wink, saying, "No probs, ummm Noel." Serious face, "In all truth, you should have been out of those as Kara came in... If not when Jeffrey did."

Christine and Dr. Brinker both sounded off in stereo, "Noel, you really don't have to go over that right now."

Christine continued, "He's asking what we need from you."

Brinker finished, "Unless you're absolutely sure you want to go over that."

Kara definitely was no Supergirl, as this all happened so quickly, she was still looking at Noel as the two ladies in blue wanted to make sure NOEL really wanted to go through that right now. And wouldn't you know it... But lunch was being brought in as it was noon.

"Kara. I need to see you." The head nurse said sternly.

"Uh oh. What'd you do, Supergirl, and do I have to... Eee-gee-gee... Cuff ya and stuff ya right next to dem dern Duke boys?"

Noel blushed at Dr. Brinker teasing about her nervous word filler. Nodding as she told her she should have been out of them earlier.
“I’m sorry that I freaked out so much, I know it’s silly, and I shouldn’t freak out like that.” She looked down before looking to Jeffery about what they had been talking about, hearing the others that she didn’t have to keep going.

Noel wasn’t sure how to respond, she didn’t want to think about what happened after that, but she also wanted to be brave and help put these guys away. Luckily her dilema was solved as her lunch arrived.
“U- Maybe after I eat, I am kinda hungry” she asked getting a nod from Jeffery.

“Right, I didn’t want to push you, but I know you are tough, if you testified against Steve you can against the losers that did this.”
Both Noel and Jeffery turned to look at the head nurse as she asked for Kara.

Jeffery smiled at Christine as she made her comment.
“Well at least she’ll be with those good ol’ boys” he mimicked the voice of the narrator, doing a surprisingly good job at it.

Noel seemed more concerned then anything. Reaching out and holding onto Kara as she was requested to leave, not wanting Kara to leave her side.
