He made sure the drips were good and made sure she was comfortable before leaving her to rest. He hoped it worked, but he wouldn't know for sure until she woke up.
Even though she still had her head bandaged, she was thrashing and trying to break free. When Mitsuhide entered the room, she flinched at the sight of him. “Let me go!”
His words seemed to work, but she still seemed wary of him. “Surgery? What surgery? Why?” She eyed him cautiously, a soft scowl on her face. How unbelievable, it had worked perfectly, leaving herself intact while erasing all of her memories.
"You got into a nasty fight with a ghoul, I almost lost you...I fixed you up right as rain...~" He said. Something about that chilled her and she had no idea why.
“A ghoul..?” A sharp pang in her head came with memories of what those were, but not how she knew. “Why had I been fighting a ghoul..?” She asked, a confused look crossing her face. “And who are you?”
Her lover? She tried to remember him, remember anything at all about him, but she couldn’t. Her head hurt terribly, despite the pain killers she was on. “I… don’t remember..” She said with a frown.
Jin studied his face, trying hard to recall anything, but a sharp pain in her head stopped her from doing so. “You said we fought ghouls.. who are they… and why?”
“Oh..” She sounded both sad and confused, looking again like she was trying to recall a memory, but nothing came. She relaxed more after his explanation, resting her head back against the bed. “I’m sorry, I don’t remember that either..”
“I’m.. in pain..” She opened her eyes again, looking down at her body. Signs of grievous wounds speckled her body- deep cuts that were stitched up or healing. Her head hurt most of all, making her thoughts hard to focus.
She didn’t know why such an action from one’s lover would cause her to react in such a way, but Jin simply brushed it off as being tired and still affected by her wounds.
