Unravel (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

It was like the flame of her soul had been entirely extinguished, and the candle destroyed. No amount of beatings, or torture, or violence got her to react. She obeyed whatever he told her to do, never once questioning him or disobeying. She was a beaten dog, obedient to the t, and he hated it.

"Did making you the ultimate weapon really do this?" He muttered bitterly. He didn't get it. The only he could think to fix her would be to pick her brain apart, but he didn't have the time or money now for that.

Why couldn’t she just have been a bit more resilient, why couldn’t she have fought more? She couldn’t have been this weak- no, perhaps he just hadn’t finished yet. Perhaps she was halfway through her metamorphosis, and he had yet to complete her.

There was only one thing standing in his way. Why was the CCG cutting his funding? They hadn’t said or done anything to indicate he had been found out- so why?

He could still salvage this, he still had time to complete her transformation and create the perfect specimen.

She stumbled after him, the idea of her becoming fixed exciting Mitsuhide. His heart was aflutter, knowing that soon she’d be back to how she was.

The half-baked woman he was dragging down the hall wasn’t Jin, all he had to do was bring her out of her shell, crack her out.

Jin laid on the table, staring blankly ahead of her just like she had been doing for the past few previous days.

He made sure everything was hooked up before he began to prepare for surgery. It was rather bold of him to do this, he hadn't reworked someone's brain in a reverse lobotomy; he was excited to see it work.

There was a good chance it would end up leaving her brain dead, made even greater with the lack of proper equipment, but he would make do. He had made do before with favorable results.

It would take several hours of surgery, the top of her skull cut away, and her scalp hanging over her face. Her brain was completely exposed as he picked and cut at it.

He hummed to himself as he worked, doing his best not to clip anything important. That would be bad. He didn't want that. So he took his time rooting around.

Jin would occasionally jerk or twitch, make a low noise or groan. She had to be conscious for the surgery, to make sure he wasn’t cutting too much.

He couldn’t see it, but tears fell down her face, expression still blank as Mitsuhide cut away small bits, and reconnected other parts of her brain together.

Once he was done with the surgery, and he was at a point he felt happy about, he bolted her skull back together, then sewed her scalp back on. She would need time to recover from the procedure, but it shouldn’t take too long.
