Unravel (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

Jin fought as ordered, fighting until everything else was dead and she was injured on the floor. She could handle her Kagune already, a koukaku that wrapped her arm in armor, and at the end, a thin sharp blade.

There was only so much she could do for so long, she was still human after all; a Quinx, not a ghoul, and being so she still had a humans stamina. Soon the other test subjects overwhelmed her, swarming her and knocking her to the ground.

Jin had to be dragged back from the others, feet falling out from beneath her when she tried to stand. She had a few deep wounds, but nothing that would immediately kill her. She was battered and bruised, it clear she was at her limit, too exhausted to fight any longer, despite her attempts.

It took a while before her Kagune finally deactivated, Jin laying slumped on the floor as her wounds healed slowly, still fighting to stay awake.

Her dull eyes moved slowly to the voice that spoke to her, watching Mitsuhide approach with a placid look on her face. She didn’t look at him in disgust, or even hatred; did she even have those emotions anymore?

"I was told that in Russia you slaughtered hordes of ghouls without breaking so much as a sweat. What happened? Don't tell me you're shy now." He said.

When he drew nearer, she averted her gaze, like looking too closely hurt her; was this all that was left of her? Surely not, surely all she needed was some coaxing, some gentle guidance to get that same monster back out and into action.

She flinched when he forced the eye contact, but other than that, she had little reaction. Was she putting on an act? She was surely stronger than this; there was no way he had broken her so quickly. There was no way she would’ve let him win. That was it, this was all just an act, and she had simply fooled him.

She fell backwards, sprawling out on the floor with a thud, laying limp and staring blankly up at the ceiling. Clever girl, she thought she could get away with tricking him, playing broken to try and fool him- try to control him. It wasn’t going to work. That spirit she had was there, she just refused to show it, keeping it hidden from him.

He kicked her again, and again, wanting her to fight him, wanting her to be how she was. What happened? There was just no way she had given up so easily.

He felt her ribs break from his kicks, his angry breathing and her pained grunts the only noises in the room as he pummeled her, yet she refused to grant him what he wanted.

Again, she made no noise for him, shed no tears. Blood gushed fourth from the severed limb, making a mess on the floor beside her.

She lay bleeding on the floor, wound slowly closing just like the first arm had when it was severed, her body stopping the bleeding.

Kojurou hadn't stopped digging since he found out R&D was involved in Jin's mysterious secret mission. He did as much snooping as he could without being suspicious, especially with Mitsuhide leading R&D. He didn't want to tip the bastard off. He was in his room at the estate, looking over every single God forsaken paper he had, hoping to find something.

That day was shipment day for the estate, the day Date’s estate would get a large shipment of supplies that ranged from food and drinks to illegal weapons to clothes. Kojurou didn’t really overlook that aspect though, only signed for it before letting the boys handle the proper distribution of the supplies.
