Unravel (1x1 w/ Jikkah)

She was going to be sick. “No.. no, no, no… You’re lying..!” She felt like she was far away from her body, heart pounding in her chest.

Jin could hear screams, echoing loudly in the room, intangible screaming. It took her a few moments before she realized it was herself screaming, pulling hard on the restraints to no avail.

Her, a ghoul? This was a fate far crueler than she could’ve ever imagined. Her entire life she had been plagued with ghouls, her entering the CCG was her way of taking back what she had lost at the hands of ghouls, but now she was the very thing she despised her whole life. Everything she worked so hard to fight against. Her ears were ringing, quietly at first, growing louder and louder until she couldn’t stand it any longer.
After a while of screaming, she slowly stopped, laying almost frozen on the table, eyes blank.

She didn’t flinch at his touch, didn’t spit venom or hate at him, simply lay unmoving on the table. Her mind was broken, after everything she had endured at his hands, this was the final push to send her over the edge.

She would lay there silently for hours, not moving a single muscle, not trying to escape or scream- just silent.

Not even tears escaped her, looking like a puppet with cut strings. Not a glimmer of life in her eyes, dull like she was a corpse, but the rise and fall of her chest showed she still lived.

Giving up wasn’t something Jin was known for, she was known for quite the opposite really- so how fitting that he was the one to finally break her down.

Jin didn’t flinch or make noise when he took her hand, laying in silence as blood gushed forth from the wound.

The blood flow was already slowing, blood pooling under the stump of her arm, heart rate picking up. It wasn’t long before the blood had stopped completely, a clear sign her hand would soon start regenerating.

It would take hours for her hand to fully regrow, but in the meantime, he could see the progress start, even if minuscule.

He pet her hair slowly before moving away. This would be hard to explain, especially since he kidnapped her and had her hidden away while he turned her into a Quinx. He had a lot of work ahead of him.

Jin’s consciousness was locked away deep in her mind, unaware of what Mitsuhide was doing to her- it was for the better.

He had her taken down to almost a bunker where he stuck her in a room and ordered her to fight his other projects; failed things that were either brain dead or dying on their own.
