He made a noise. "I trust you, Elora.."

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She reached out to him, "You can come closer, we aren't children..." She smiled softly.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I know, just.. This place.. I feel like I can't turn my back from the wall.." He said as he moved to sit by her side.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"I'll protect you..." She said gently, "Until my dying breath.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"There will be no need for that.. I don't anticipate us coming back for quite some time.." He said. "The gesture is very appreciated.."

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Still..." She said and moved to lay her head in his lap.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I know Elora.." He said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She smiled softly and tried to stay awake to keep him company.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

If she dozed off, she would awaken right back in his lap, he hadn't moved at all.

It was late by the time she was able to travel again, and they were thrown out without another word. She smiled sadly and gripped Callan's arm tightly. "I guess that's it then..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I suppose so.. Good riddance if you ask me.." He said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Yeah..." She muttered before turning away from her homeland for a final time, "Let's go home..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He nodded and led her back through the forest toward the castle.

She followed him and laced her fingers with his as she held his hand tight.

They made it back to the castle by sunrise, and spent the rest of the day in bed.

She laid against him, just enjoying being by his side. "I can't thank you enough for making a sacrifice like that for me..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Again, it was nothing, really.." He said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"You say that but you nearly got into a war with the shaman..." She said.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"She insisted upon nonsensical things.." He said. "How could I not?"

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She made a noise, "I'm not sure...but I know that wasn't any way a King should handle it..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He huffed. "Not how a shaman should behave either.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"She's...always been like that..." Sje said before sitting up, "She tried to get me to poison your food once...but I told her I would rather eat it myself because I was as devoted to you then as I am now. Even though you never looked at me with kindness, I still wanted to be by your side.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I don't understand why.." He said. "If I'm honest, I apologize for coming off as rude.."

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Because I could see the good in you...I saw what an amazing king you were and what a kind young man you could be. I wanted to be apart of that, be apart of the love you shared with your people. But my own people's paranoia dashed all that...." She played with his hair gently, "But I still loved you..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I see.. I'm terribly sorry, Elora.. Seems as if I have somewhat cut relations with your people for you.." He said.
