Escape Fate into Another (Poseidon & I)

Sighing as she went about undressing to only dress in more clean clothing. "Magnus, he-" She was cut off as Derick had pushed her door open to see her in a crimson red silk gown that stopped at her mid thigh.

"Who were you talking to?" He slipped into her room with his hand moving along her back.

"You shouldn't be here." She instructed.

"Since when did you start wearing this stuff? I asked you plenty of times but you-" He stared at her clearly aroused at how the fabric lies against her skin. "Lillian-"

"Stop right there. I was taking care of your son but since you're moving-"

"Not by choice! Its your sugar daddy Jiro who had me removed." Growling as he let her in on this information.

"I don't know a Jiro but please. Magnus doesn't like it if othe-" Derick jumped her about that with the two just bickering that only ended with Derick capturing her in his arms, kissing her deeply. His hand ran up in her hair to hold her longer but he did release her.

"I'm sorry but I still love you and I do want you as my wife." He whispered with his heavy breathing cascading across her face.

"No." Her answer was firm as she forced him out of her room with great strength. "Stay in your or Jason's room. Don't you dare come back to this one even to wake me up!" Once she had snapped at him she slammed the door shut. So many things had happened as it would take time to process it all.

Magnus felt his temper rise at deriks blatant disrespect. It took a great deal of control to not come and kill the man. Aiko however was far more tactful as she was waiting outside the door to handle derik.

Aiko stood in her long flowing white gown seeing Derick walking down the hall. "Where were you?"

"Talking to Lillian." He stated roughly as he walked past her into his room with her following.

"Yet only she can get your dick hard?" Pointing to his hardon to see him looking away. "You want others to respect you then you should respect others. I mean you hurt not just Magnus but Lillian tonight with your actions. If you truly loved her then why? Why hurt her in the first place? From what I heard she's done nothing but the best for you and your son but you repaid her with...This. Magnus didn't have to allow you or your son to stay but Lillian requested it. Be glad your son has a motherly figure in his life if he has an ass of an father." That was the last Aiko said to Derick with her slipping to Lillian's room to stay the night with her to give her assurance that none will touch her.

Magnus sat alone the rest of the night watching the fire. Lost in his memories, memories long since forgotten. Horus checked on him and tended the fire. "Horus my son... you should go to her.... she needs you" Magnus said softly. "Father?" He said "lillith... you should go to her, help her... she needs you" he said softly.

Lillian stirred in her sleep as if hearing Magnus but didn't say a word. Though Aiko was awake to keep watch.

With Horus set off Magnus returned to his thoughts as he tried to quiet his mind. Horus was well on speeding across miles as he flew full speed to Lilith domain. With Magnus blessing and encouragement his own heart raced with the promise of fulfilling his destiny. -lilith... I will prove to you I am whole, your loliness ends tonight- he thought to himself firmly.

Lilith herself had finished feasting when she sensed Horus approaching. Sighing as she would be standing at her doorway to see him. "Why are you here?"

Horus stood tall without fear and with focus as his eyes met hers. "I've come to end your pain my mate... you claim I am without soul and thus no longer your true lifemate... I'm here to show you I am very much whole" he said with confidence and calmness. He carried himself like a true warrior, a man worthy of a goddess queen.

"Who turned me my queen is irrelevant, the fact is my soul is very much still here" he said with a hand on his chest. "When Magnus turned me, I was very much alive, and as such very much have my soul" he said taking a step forward. "If you are angered because his blood flows in me and not yours, consider it's source. Magnus like you is a rebel pure blood, one of the first like you, he made me strong, strong enough that only he and you could ever hurt me" he stated never taking his eyes off hers.

"That doesn't change the fact you were taken away. Now leave me!" With that she slammed the door shut on his face as no tears ran down her face nor did she feel pain to send him away. She did once feel he was her mate but now it had changed.

"I will not.... I will wait here for you, I will not give up on you" he whispered as he pressed his head to the door. Sitting on the doorstep Horus sat lotus style and took a deep meditative posture. Closing his eyes he focused on lilith, her form, down to the last strand of blood red hair. -i will not abandon you, even if I have to wait a thousand years for you- Horus thought with all his focus on Lilith hoping against hope she heard him and somewhere deep in her frozen heart that spark would stir to life.

Nothing stirred within her as she went to her chambers. Though Isabella did appear. "Horus, go on home. Romantic as it is but it won't prove anything if you stay here." Her voice was soft as she walked by touching his cheek. "Are you here because she said you were her mate or did you feel it long ago?"

Horus sighed as he left his meditative state. "Like you I knew from the begining, like you I felt unworthy, that's why I sought out magnus. Who better to make me worthy of the queen mother of blood than her champion. Magnus didn't know I was her mate, just that I was a man worthy of the dark gift. He tasted my blood three times, and each time he gave me his own. On the third exchange I was turned, my body in unspeakable agony as he sat with me, weeping for my pain, encouraging me to live" Horus explained. "When he learned the truth.... he's released me from his service, and has instructed me to save Lilith from this pain she endures, a task I gladly accept, one I failed to fulfill, I will not abandon her, even if I must endure to sting of the sun, i will endure as my love has endured" he stated as he closed his eyes to return to his meditation.

"Do you think if she was your mate she'd allow you to die?" Whispering softly as she looked up at the moon and stars. "Even though I followed another blindly for Magnus, I still wish him happiness that I am willing to leave these lands so there is no doubt between them." Smiling as she closed her eyes. "Please Horus, go home to Magnus. Your duty isn't finished by a long shot....He will need you along with your siblings to protect his own children." Isabella could sense that Magnus will not only produce turned children but the hybrid children in the future. "His children will be hunted...The first will die by a Vampire and werewolf working together. The second will nearly die with her mother and her life will come close to be cutting short if it weren't for you."

Her green eyes fell to Horus. "You will save Magnus's Heiress Mira. A rare sight and someone who will need you dearly."

Horus looked at her confused "your gift of sight" he whispered remembering. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked at the old fortress his mate hid away in. "But.... lilith.... how can I possibly leave her now... for so long I thought her dead of in secluded hibernation. Now she's so close, yet I can't reach her" he whispered.

"You won't. She is not yours to love. Her soul has moved on long ago and it will return in the person who looks up to you." Tilting as her eyes flashed. "I know of her name and the moment you both realize there is more to your current relationship. The reason I say is I don't want you to throw your life away like I did. Live it first, Horus." At this time she was encouraging him to return to his duties as he will find his love that way.

Looking up at the building one last time he shed his tears for the woman inside. "Forgive me lilith" he whispered softly as he placed his hand on her front door. With a sigh he gave Isabella a hug before slowly flying home, his mournful tears drifting in the air.

Isabella was hiding the truth as Lilith's time was coming to an end and Isabella was her experiment long ago to transfer bodies but it failed with Isabella dying. Lilith did turn her to save her life. Isabella got to her feet and slipped into her Mistress's home to calm things down but what she said was true, Horus will meet his true mate and they both will know at the same time with no doubt.

As the sun crested the sky Horus felt it's sting, it didn't burn per se but was highly uncomfortable. Being turned alive had it's perks, higher resistance to the sun being among them. Magnus slowly opened his eyes as he pushed the last of his old memories back in the box again hoping they didn't show themselves again.

Lillian was up and sent the guests off but saw Horus coming in. "You fool!" Scolding him as she pulled him inside just a the old Isabella had done when he use to sneak about.

"I'm sorry mother" he said as the sting eased and the red receded from his skin. "Father encouraged me to try and make things right with lilith. But her soul... it's gone, I failed her" he wept quietly as he let her lead him in. "Isabella swares I'll find her again, that I must continue to endure" he said with a sigh.

"May not be her when you find her." Lillian escorted him to the darkness of the living room and sat with him to let him weep in private away from the rest of the family. Time passed as she left him to decide if he'd go to his room or venture off to do his own thing.

Horus decided on sleep and went to his room to rest. Magnus was standing at a large window opposite the side the sun was on viewing the open garden.

Lillian reached her room to see Magnus standing there to view the gardens. "Glad to see you're back. How are you feeling?"
