Distant Horizons (1×1 w/ Jikkah)

She shook her head, looking to him, a look of guilt crossing over her face before she looked back down at the fire. “No... I’m not... mom..” She said softly. “Not.... your mom...”

Sasuke sat silently for a minute before shooting up and pacing the floor.
"What do you mean you aren't my mother? Who the hell are you then?!" He yelled.

She flinched and cowered when he yelled, averting her eyes. “A-Ama...ya.” She sputtered our. Amaya? The name was familiar- oh right.
Amaya had been a girl he knew from his time as a slave. She was a little Dunmer girl, with short white hair and large blue eyes, living in the home next to his.

Sasuke was furious. Sithis conned him out of being with his mother again. And for what? Some slave girl he hardly knew?
"Get out." He ordered.

She looked hurt and confused, standing and reaching out to Sasuke. “S-Sildriel...?”
He never had been friends with the girl, slaves didn’t have friends. In fact, he hadn’t even spoken two words to the girl, he had only seen her around occasionally until one day she just stopped appearing, then he got away from his own life as a slave.

She slowly pulled her hand away, face twisting in sorrow, but she turned and headed for the door, pushing it open and disappearing outside the room.

"Did you get into a fight with your baby boy, corpse mother?" Arnbjorn was on her as soon as she left the safety of Sasuke's room, "You smell of death and sadness. Pitiful."

She spun around when she heard the werewolf’s voice, eyes wide as she took a small step back. “N-No..” She rasped out softly, clutching the blanket to her chest.

Her eyes widened at the sight of his canines, and even though she was a corpse, he could smell her fear. Without another word, she abandoned the blanket and ran, going anywhere but there. She ran hard and fast, not caring where she ended up, eventually ending up outside the cave, where the rain was falling in sheets. Still, she took cover in the bushes, hands pressed against her ears; even after her death and unlife, she could still hear the dogs.

After a long while of sitting out in the rain and bushes, she stopped feeling the rain pelt down on her. Upon examination, she saw it was Sasuke - holding a cloak out likea cover over both of them.
"You'll get sick out here." He said.

She was shaking, completely drenched and still crying, not that he could tell though. When she saw it was him, she almost started crying harder. “I’m sorry..! Sorry! Didn’t mean... to trick you..!” She cried like a scared child, after all she had been only a few years younger than him, even if she was in a body older than him now.

She nodded and stood, staying close to him, but not trying to reach out or touch him again. She sniffled softly, wiping her eyes with her hands.

He took her inside and set her by the fire before moving to make her a stew at the cooking pot.
"Babette, could you make her a resist disease potion?" He called. The Unchild peeked out before making a noise.
"I'll be a but a moment." She said and disappeared back behind the doorway.

She watched the fire again like before, hair and clothes dripping with rainwater. Sasuke should have known, he should have known something was off when he first resurrected her. His mother had light colored hair, so it wasn’t unusual that her hair was beginning to change to a lighter color, but it wasn’t white. The same with her eyes, the body had dark eyes, yet blue speckles had started to appear.

Maybe he didn't want to notice, maybe he was just so happy to maybe have his mother back that he didn't really look. He was an idiot and Sithis abused his trust and gave him someone he didn't really want.

Amaya wished she could have told him sooner, told him she wasn’t his mother, but with her struggling to talk for so long, she just wasn’t able to. “I’m sorry.” She said softly after a long moment, keeping her gaze down.

She blinked, looking at Sasuke for a moment before looking back at the fire. “Sorry..” She didn’t know who Sithis was, but he sounded mean.

She took the bowl with a nod, holding it carefully as she blew on it to cool it, listening to the fire crackle. The entire situation confused her, why had she been brought back to life? Who was Sithis and where exactly was she?
