Katerina nodded, “You are right. We will. But a day or two with you to myself would be nice. I’m a little nervous.”

She bit her lip after they kissed and relaxed, “we should. Though my duties won’t be much anymore with your therapy effectively over. But I want to. When should we?”
 
Terra thought for a moment.
"Everyone is still pretty tense over the kidnapping and the information about Marcus, so how about when our new room is done, then we'll speak to Alex about the mating ceremony. Gives him a few days to get things situated. I have to start my training tomorrow but while I'm doing that, why don't you talk to your brother and see how the room is doing. Maybe you can draw out some ideas for the nursery and give your mind something to focus on."
Smiling she stood up with Kat and dried her off before drying herself. Walking back to the bed she laid down with Kat, letting her lover lay on her chest while she held her close.

Alex walked over and gave a small smile.

"Katerina, Terra. This is Sonya. She's a Shade Ambassador from the Blood Ruby Coven."
The Blood Ruby coven was the largest and most powerful vampire Coven on this side of the earth. Their numbers were just under one thousand, spread across several states and all answering to one Queen with absolute obedience. The kind of obedience that an Alpha could only dream about simply because vampire laws were very strict and Shade soldiers carried out punishment for breaking those laws with vicious brutality. Shade warriors answered to the Queen and no one else. A private death squad back in the old days, now they were a little more tamed. Terra glanced at Kat and sighed for a moment as she cut the training with the recruits and walked her back to the pool house. Alex went to chat with Bear while he and his men got ready. Once inside the pool house Terra pulled her top off and rolled her shoulders a bit.
"We got word from one of Peters scouts. Marcus and Raven made a move already. They joined up with a rival pack. The same one's who started most of our fights in the war and the same one's who set the ambush that got Kyra and several other Hounds killed. We don't know why they'd join since they both hate that pack and the Alpha, so the Hounds are suiting up for a recon op."

Sitting on the bed, Terra sighed a bit as she was really curious as to why Marcus would willingly join a pack that killed several of his friends.
