The Forgotten (Ezralora and GuardianAngel)

Zyphine just ran her hand along the dirt wall as she continued along although she did pause after a moment in time. It seemed like here it branched off in two different directions. This had her mentioning it before she spoke, "I do feel something dark from the path that goes to the left." The path that would take them more out of the village. Although she could be wrong as well, but it was probably worth investigating in the end.

Fiarn nodded over at her and followed her leard, sending the globules of light ahead of him in order to illuminate their path as they walked. He could feel a slight chil moving along his spine before he looked over at Zyphine, "What do you think this village would want to be hiding?" He asked her, curious to hear what she thought. "It doesn't seem as though they would wish to keep anything under the surface... but then again we are outsiders."

Zyphine looked towards him for a moment before she was shaking her head then spoke, "I'm not sure, but I'm certain that something is being hidden. It just seems to tainted. Even with taking care of that body.... this place still feels evil." With that she looked around and just continued to walk along the path, although they would soon discover that this place definitely had something to hide. A few dead demons, and a dying demon that was currently shackled to the wall withering in agony. Zyphine was just entering the large room although was looking away after a moment in time. No she really didn't want to see that at all, and her heart went out to the captured demon.

Fiarn glanced around as he entered the large room, seeing the sigh before him. Whilst he may have been shocked he didn't feel anything for the demon still alive. He could see it was in pain, agony even. But to him it began to seem like that it was far beyond redemption. "What is this place...?" He whispered, not sure if anyone else would be down here now. If the village was indeed aware of the fact that a place like this existed then, there may be the change of one of them being here. He walked over to examines the bodies, glancing over them before stopping in front of the one in pain and was still alive. "Why keep these down here.."

Zyphine was just giving a shake of her head before she spoke, "I have no idea what this place is..." With that she was just drifting after him and was looking at the one who was still living, before she was actually kneeling down in front of it. "Even though it is a demon.... it doesn't deserve to suffer like this...." she spoke in a soft voice. Nothing deserved to suffer. And she really had to wonder if all demons were actually evil, or if some of them actually had hearts. "This may be why there is so much darkness here." Zyphine spoke before she was actually moving closer to the demon and went to untie the gag from its mouth.

Fiarn stared over the demon as he was studying it. The injuries it had received and the situation it was in. Zyphine was probably right with her guess on it having been here a while and spreading it's darkness. As she began to move forward though to untie the gag his hand was out and went to grasp her shoulder. "Careful, you might have a kind heart Zyphine... but... it doesn't mean that... does." He said, a little worried that this was all a little too convenient for them.

Zyphine was looking towards him for a moment when he grasped her shoulder, which had her drawing her hand away from the demon. Yeah Fiarn was right about that....while she had a kind heart that didn't mean that the demon did. With that she was actually getting to her feet and taking a step away from the demon, actually more retreating into Fiarn's side if anything. "So what do we do?" she questioned in a soft voice. She really didn't want to just leave the creature there to suffer, not even demons deserved to suffer. If Fiarn continued to study the demon, he would find that the creature had a strange look in its eyes. Almost a look of worry and it was obviously staring at something behind them. Something that they had missed, and obviously didn't sense at the time either. Zyphine at the time was just speaking with Inigo who had informed her that a bell had chimed, which more or less told all of the villagers that it was time to return to their homes. Something about nighttime being the most dangerous time.

Fiarn frowned as he looked over a the demon, feeling Zyphine moving back. He chewed his lips a little as turned slowly to look behind him. Seeing that the demon wasn't looking at them, it was looking passed them. He peered into the darkness as one of the silver glowing orbs followed after him and tried to illuminate the area. He glanced over at Zyphine before asking her, "What's going on?" He didn't have a connection with someone who could fill him in, so was clueless to the bell sounding on the surface.

"The bell is basically to let everybody know that they are to return to their homes." Zyphine spoke after a moment in time although it wasn't long before the orbs that Fiarn had seemed to send out, were disappearing. What the hell? This had the female looking around for a brief moment in time, wondering what it was. She could sense something dark, which had her taking a step away from whatever the dark energy was.

Fiarn was the exact opposite, he watch as the silver orb sunk into the darkness and was intrigued by it. Moving forward he peered over it, trying to figure out what it was. "What is.... how is this possible?" he asked himself, feeling the hairs on the back of his neck beginning to stand on end as he stared forward. Slowly reaching out with his left hand to touch it, or grab it as if he were reaching out to pull back a curtain.

Zyphine just watched for a moment in time from where she was at. No this darkness seemed a whole lot more dangerous than the demon that was a mere few feet behind her. Looking back even the demon looked terrified. "I think.... that is the reason.... for the corruption." she spoke after a moment in time as she was watching. Although her next action would probably surprise Fiarn a bit as a vine was wrapping around his waist and pulling him backwards a bit, away from the darkness just as a figure seemed to be more visible, and where Fiarn's arm had been.... there was a rather scary looking blade falling down.

Fiarn was an inch away from touching it and was so close, he was about to close his fingers around it. With an oof he was dragged back as he felt the vine tightening around his waist. He was pulled back as if he were a ball attached to elastic. Skidding along his feet he flailed backwards to regain his balance whilst his midnight blue hair cascaded down to its usual messy aesthetic once the force had ended. With a loud thunk he saw the blade dropping down and widened his eyes behind his mask before looking back at her. "Thanks..." He muttered his voice shaking a little, something telling him that he would have lost his hand forever had she not intervened. "Whatever it is.. if it is the corruption, we should deal with it should we not?" He asked her, reaching into his boon pouch to take out the blade, which crackled with energy once it was in his grip.

"I'm sorry I didn't warn you." Zyphine spoke after a moment in time before she was studying the shadows for a brief moment in time. That corruption seemed to almost grow, it was almost suffocating in a way. With that she was actually looking at the demon that was behind her for a moment before she was deciding that she was going to remove the gag. Perhaps the demon would know something about this corruption, or something. Or end up attacking them as well but hey maybe having a kind heard would come in handy

Fiarn looked behind him as he saw that she was going to remove the gag from the demon's mouth. Chewing the inside of his cheek he stayed back ready to engage should the need come, with his limited knowledge of combat. He was hoping that him not stopping her was a decent way to tell her that he agreed with her plan. "I hope this doesn't end poorly.." He muttered and gripped the sword tighter in both of his hands. Trying his best to keep his nerve in check.

Zyphine looked at him for a moment before she spoke "Maybe he'll help us. Neither of us are warriors, and it is getting closer." With that she was actually removing the gag from the demons mouth, and was glad that it didn't try to snap at her or anything. "You were once a human.... what happened.... " she spoke in a soft voice before she was hesitating on her next decision. Freeing the demon completely.

Fiarn bowed his head in resignation as she began to free the demon. He moved between the shadow and the demon and her to make sure he could at least try to keep whatever this thing was back. "Be quick then.." He muttered quietly not wanting to make her rushed, but he didn't want to stay here any longer than was needed.

Zyphine was giving a nod of her head before she was working on getting the demon freed. Who would have figured that the darkness or whatever was there would be reacting to that. Dark tentacles seemed to be lashing out at them, and sending them into the walls.

With what little he knew he brought the sword up and a powerful gust of wind rippled in front of him before shooting out to try and repel back the black tendrils from striking them. He knew that if the things hit them it would be a bad situation for them all.

Zyphine managed to finish getting the demon freed and was almost expecting it to lash out at her. Nope it didn't thankfully. For a brief bit it just seemed to stare at her before stepping around her. "Get out of here." It rasped to both of them, which had Zyphine just looking a bit shocked. Interesting. There was a hint of humanity still there.

Fiarn wasn't one to argue with something that could kill them, if he was going to take his chances between the shadow thing or the demon. He'd pick the demon. "Come on." He said t Zyphine and went to loop his arm with hers to star heading to the exit to get out of this dungeon. Should they ask about this to the village? no that could be bad... or worse than that. But one thing he knew. "We've got to leave that house once we're back.."

Zyphine was retreating over next to Fiarn and was looping her arm through his so that they could get out of there. She was giving a nod of her head before she spoke, "There is definitely a lot more going on in this village than one could imagi...." She was cutting off at the sudden yelp of pain that could be heard from ahead of them. Inigo. Guess somebody had discovered that they had found the secret area and wasn't happy, especially since the white tiger wasn't allowing anybody past him. This actually had her letting go of Fiarn's arm and was rushing ahead, thankfully the path wasn't difficult to navigate back at that point in time, especially a straight shot. And she was looking for the seemingly random flowers that she had grown in the wall.

Fiarn cocked his head to the side as he heard a yelp before looking back forward. "Wait Zyphine don't go rushing into this blindly!" He yelled but she was already gone, he followed after her keeping a fair bit of distance for now, as he still wasn't sure what was behind them either. "Please be okay, please be okay.." He muttered as he rushed forward, silver orbs forming around him and floating ahead of him. The orbs would slowly illuminate the path ahead of them, just to make sure there was nothing to trip over.

Zyphine had heard him although that hadn't really stopped her at all, just running ahead of him. Yeah a bit blindly but at least she had a general idea of where she was going. The earth was guiding her and soon enough she was getting to the stairs that they needed to go up. Although she didn't head up them quite right away, no at that point in time she was merely waiting. Although she was most definitely startled when something seemed to breeze right past her. It was the demon it seemed, and he was going up the stairs and into the room. Well she definitely hadn't been expecting that at all, just standing there with a rather startled look. Zyphine was following up the stairs slowly although was just pausing to look around the room before she was rushing over to Inigo, who was laying in the corner, bleeding rather heavily from a few injuries. Oh her poor pet.

Fiarn followed up after, but unlike her as she seemed to be concerned for her pet he turned to look around the room. Catching a brief glance of the demon beginning to make his way out. He took in a deep breath before shaking his head. "is Inigo going to be okay?" He asked her, his voice showing a bit of oncern as he slowly walked through the room, making sure it was clear.

Zyphine had briefly checked the room, although she hadn't been overly concerned considering the demon had beat them up there. And he hadn't seem overly impressed with those that were in the room. "Yes he'll be okay." the woman spoke as she nodded her head, although she was rifling through her bag to pull out some of her medical supplies that was in there. Inigo gave a faint whine and was actually struggling to get to his feet when he saw the demon approaching them again, but Zyphine calmed him. While the demon was agitated, it left them alone... more just watched them at that point in time. Possibly trying to deceipher if they were friend or foe. Or trying to figure out if he should thank them or not.
