Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 4) WF+GF

“Don’t call me old and I won’t hit you.” She told him. “I’ll let everyone know who wears the pants in this relationship ship.” She laughed.

“At least you will have something to do.” She smiled. “He’s so cute when he’s passed out your chest.”

She gave him a hug and kiss. “Thank you for the best weekend ever.” She said softly. “I had a lot of fun. I never thought I would light a tree like that. It was amazing.” She gave him another kiss and rubbed his back. She squeezed his butt and let him go.

“Give him a kiss for me. I love you.” She said and walked to her gate while he walked out to the exit.

He got close to her and stared her down with a grin. "Me. I wear the pants."

Jake smiled at the thought of his little man snuggling up to him asleep. "I know. I love when he cuddles. A time will come when he won't want to anymore so I'm going to eat it up while I can."

He smiled proudly. "I'm glad you had fun. Except it's nearly impossible to surprise you though." He gave her a look. "But that's okay. The main thing is, you had fun." He kissed her back and after he got his butt squeezed, he smacked hers.

"I will baby. Bye sexy." He waved and walked out to find her parents. He looked around. When he found her dad's car, he waved and walked over. "Hey!" He got in the back and saw Owen was awake. "Hi big boy! Want to FaceTime mommy?"

She looked into his eyes, “No. I do. I always wear the pants.” She smiled.

She nodded her head. She didn’t think about that. She was hoping he would always be her little cuddle bug. Especially since he was so warm.

She smiled when he smacked her butt. “Then don’t surprise me.” She laughed.

It wasn’t a long walk to her gate so Adri made it there pretty quickly. She thought about grabbing a burger but she could wait until everyone was together to eat a late lunch. Andre was already waiting for her at the gate.

She picked up her phone when it started to ring and smiled when she saw Jake and Owen. “Hi Baby Boo!”

Jake rolled his eyes. "Right...okay. Whatever you want to think..." He smiled.

"But it's so fun to try." He chuckled. "I will pull one off...just you wait."

Owen pointed to Adri, "Mama! Hi!" He waved and smiled, it was obvious that he was excited to see her.

"He is still a little warm but acting fine. I'm not too concerned. Your mom gave him some Tylenol just to be safe. I'm sure he's fine." He told her with a smile.

"Hi, baby!" Adri smiled. She was so happy to see her baby boy. He looked happy to see her too. That was the face she wanted to see. "I love you." She told him and got a mumbled I love you back.

"That's good. I know we have some at home too if he gets warmer." She told Jake. "Maybe strip him down to his diaper and chill with him. If he lets you cuddle with him and Max." She laughed.

"I'm sorry I'm not there O. I'll be home soon okay, Bud? You have to get better for Santa." She told him.

Jake smiled and gave a nod. "Alright. We will. He will be okay." He looked at Owen. "Right bud?" He gave a nod.

"Mah, bark." Owen was saying more words and putting sentences together more and more. Jake smiled at him. "I really missed him.

"Tell mama it's okay. He will be ready for Santa I'm sure of it." He smiled. Jake didn't want to say much about her brothers going cause of her parents in the car. "When we get home we can send photos of the dogs."

“Me too.” She smiled. Owen has a way of lighting up every room he was in. He made her heart flutter every time he called her or gave her an unprompted hug.

She smiled at Jake and looked at Santa, “Did you have fun with Grandma?” She asked him and he stopped chewing on his finger to point at where her mother was and stuck his finger right into Jake’s mouth.

“Oh no!” She chuckled. “Are you going to be okay for Santa?” She joked and shook her head. “Take
Some vitamins.”

Jake smiled and thought it was cute when he pointed to her mom but cute turned scary really quick. "Uhhh no no. Ugh. No buddy. You don't put fingers in other people's mouths. That's gross." He shook his head.

"If I could eat hand sanitizer I would. I'm doing vitamins on overdrive now. Ugh." He sighed and shook his head. "He's yours." He told her and chuckled.

"I need to look into those IVs celebrities do. I need to make sure I can have one and not get suspended." He told her. "But you could get one."

"Well we will let you get settled babe. Let us know when you land okay?" He looked at Owen. "Tell mommy bye."

Owen waved.

“I mean you could take a shot of vodka. A I think we have a high percentage of alcohol at home. Maybe that will clear some of the nasty out. “ she made a face and shook her head.

“That’s not good buddy.” She told Owen. “If you need me to pick anything up on my way home let me know. I will try to make this as quick as possible. Okay? I love you.”

She saved at Owen and blew him kisses goodbye and prepared to board her flight.

"My dad always says whiskey, honey and lemon. I may do that when I get home to be safe." He liked that idea. One shot wouldn't hurt.

"We will let ya know if we need anything babe." They hung up.

Instead of going straight home though, Jake got Owen out of his carseat and went in the airport with him.

When Adri went to take her seat on the flight to LA. Someone was sitting in her seat with their face covered with a news paper as they read it.

“That sounds good just to have.” She said and gave him a look. “Only one, sir. You’re on baby duty. Sick baby duty at that.” She teased.

Andre got his seat near the window but someone was sitting in hers. She checked to make sure she was about to get on the correct seat before she interrupted the stranger.

“I think you’re in my seat.” She said and looked at Andre. The guys was face deep in his newspaper and not budging.

"Yes ma'am." He smiled big because she couldn't hit or poke his leg. "I'll make you one when you get home." He promised.

As soon as Adri said something, there was a little smack on the newspaper and it was moved. Moved to reveal Jake and Owen. Jake smiled. "Hi. Nah it's my seat."

"I figured we will escort you to LA so you can see him a bit. That was before he decided to get sick. We fly back home in the morning." He told her.

Andre smiled because he knew the whole time.

Adri laughed and looked at Jake. “No it’s my seat.” She picked up Owen and kissed his cheek. She gave him a big hug. “I missed you buddy!”

Andre got up to take his seat on the other side of first class and adri took Andre’s seat so she could sit with her family. “When did you buy a ticket?” She was surprised that he was willing to fly back and forth for a day with Owen.

“Thank you Boo.” She kissed his cheek and played with Owen. She rubbed his back when he leaned forward and kissed the top of his head. “I love you.” She pulled out her phone so she could play some cartoons for him and smiled at Jake.

“You’re the best.”

He laughed and handed Owen over to her. Owen was so excited to see her.

"Not long after you did. Well I had Casey handle it so you owe him a huge thank you." He smiled and gave her a kiss. "You're welcome. I knew you miss him so I just thought this would help a bit but don't want to get in the way with time with your brothers. I made sure they were okay first." He told her.

"It's also a short flight so he should be okay." Owen snuggled up to her since he didn't feel the best. "Plus he wants mom when he isn't well." He smiled at her.

Jake stuck to his plan and promise. He did take Owen to the beach but didn't swim with him not feeling best but the next morning they flew home and saw the dogs. The guys hung out the rest of the day in jammies or underwear. Owen was okay as long as he had Tylenol in his system and Jake kept up the vitamins for both of them.

“You’ve known this whole time you were coming!” She pushed his knee with hers. “I do owe him a huge thank you.”

She smiled and held Owen to her chest. He did usually gravitate towards her when he was sick. “Hopefully he does do me dirty like he did to you.” She laughed.

Adri and her brothers did a lot of preplanning which helped when it came to doing the actual task. She appreciated that Jake and Owen were at the hotel room when she got back. Especially that first night. She didn’t like being in the city alone. She thought having her brothers in the rooms next door would help but she didn’t sleep much that second night.

They finished on the third day and she and Andre were back in Vegas very late. She dropped him off and then drove home. She took a shower and crawled into bed with Jake. They were leaving for Denver tomorrow and it was the beginning of Adri’s Dream Christmas.

"I hope he does do you dirty. It's only fair." He told her with a smile. "Love you..."

Jake knew she was still struggling being in LA with her attack so that was partly why he joined her. Owen was the other part.

Owen and Jake had a good day of watching movies, playing with the dogs and even a nice nap.

When Adri crawled in bed, Jake smiled and snuggled close to her. "Welcome home baby." He whispered but fell back to sleep quickly. Once he woke up, it would be hectic until they get to Denver. They needed to pack up their bags, dog, and kid and head out. Jake couldn't wait. It would be awesome.

She didn’t have much time to sleep. Once Jake was up, she was up finishing packing and grabbing some more things they would need with Owen bottling a cold. While he packed everything into the car, she got the dogs and baby fed.

For the most part they had everything packed before they left for Biltmore so they were only packing last minute items, like presents Adri needed to wrap when they got to Denver.

“When we get there don’t go looking through the rooms. Okay? I have one that’s full of stuff you can’t see yet.” She told him.

“We are ready. Are you ready?” She asked after she got Owen dressed and then dressed herself.

Jake got up and went on a quick run before showering. Just because it was Christmas didn't mean that he didn't need to stay up on training. If anything Luke would be harder ok him cause he would see his diet and workouts.

After he showered he grabbed something to eat and made sure everything he needed was packed. He packed his laptop just in case he needed to handle anything work related while in Denver.

"Yeah baby. I'm ready. Who all is flying on the private jet?" He asked before grabbing the bag with their coats in it they wouldn't need it until landing in Denver. "Max? Are you excited to fly? You're human is coming too." He scratched his head before loading him and the girls in the car.

“Mom, Dad, Andre and his wife Lindsey.” She smiled and picked Owen up. She got a sneeze directly to the face twice and she set him back down. “The devil lives in that boy.” She went to the kitchen to wash her mouth out and wipe her face off.

“He thinks he’s so cute because he’s little. He’s nasty. And now he’s walking to the car.” She sighed and picked up her purse and his little Paw Patrol backpack that had his snacks for the flight.

“How do you feel? You got a finger to the mouth. Do you feel okay? Maybe he hasn’t cursed me with the sickness.”

Jake just watched her when she got sneezed on and made a grossed out face. "That's gross." He shook his head.

"He is ready to go. He knows his grandma and grandpa are waiting on him so we can go to Denver. He is excited." He smiled at her. "You look cute with that Paw Patrol bag babe." He wiggled his eyebrows.

"I'm hoping we both got lucky enough we aren't getting sick. I do worry about him with the weather change but maybe the cold will kill off his sickness." He picked Owen up and strapped him in.

"Let's go babe. We can't be late." He told her before getting in the driver side of his truck to head to the airport.

“Yeah. It’s gross. Teach your son some manners.”

She modeled the backpack for Jake, “So sexy. It’s probably the most expensive bag I own. I love it.” She teased.

“I’m not getting sick and if I do get sick I’m fighting through. He’s not ruining my white Christmas.” She declared and tickled Owen’s sides. “But we can let him sneeze on anyone else. So he comes with a warning label anytime family gets near him. Stacey doesn’t count.” She smiled.

She set the alarm and locked up the house double checking that the doors were locked. She got in the car and they rode to the airport. Everyone was already there waiting for them when they arrived. They didn’t have to go through security since they were flying private. They caught a cart to the plane and boarded easily.

It was a quick flight to Denver and Owen was pretty good for the ride. Adri booked them a party van and a truck just in case they wanted to go out and do something as a group or had to pick something up from the store and didn’t want to drive the van.

“Aidan and Drew and Stacey are coming later in the evening. They rented a car so this is all us for now.” Adri was excited to see her cabin all decked out. She saw it a few times during set up but never all the way complete.

"I tried to teach him how to fight and you turned me down so I figured the teaching was all you." He teased.

"It's a pretty color for sure. Brings out your eyes." He told her with grin.

Jake chucked. "Let him sneeze on Stacy first then warn everyone after that. We do need to he prepared in case he gets a full on cold. Your mom will step into protective mom mode."

He apologized to everyone for making them wait. Max was excited to get out of the car. John and Eileen were coming later with Amy and Luke. "Babe we should have brought someone just to handle the dogs." He teased. Once they were on the plane the found a spot and laid down.

"We have everything right?" He asked Adri as the plane took off.

Once they landed they took the van to the cabin. "I sure hope it is decorate right..." He teased.

When they got the cabin Owen pointed at all the lights that were shining on the trees and the house. She pout him in his jacket and mittens which he didn’t like and managed to get one off while she put his hat on. She put her jacket on and put his kitten back on and picked him up.

Max ran into the snow and left tracks all over the front yard. The girls were hesitant to be around it. It was too cold for them and they ran straight for the front door. Owen pointed at the snow and Adri set him down on the pathway so he could see it.

“That’s snow bud. You like it?” She asked him and watched him squat down to look at it and pick it up.

The cabin was decorated like a pottery barn catalogue because adri hires the set designers that did Pottery Barn catalogs and in exchange for that they used their cabin for some YouTube promos on how to mix and match and decorate different rooms for Christmas.

Each bedroom came with an LL Bean that had everyone’s name embroidered on the left chest. Hats and gloves so they were prepared for the snowball fight that would eventually happen. There were matching pajamas and slippers for Christmas Eve. It seemed Moreno like a hotel than a cabin they owned but Adri wanted to make it special.

Every room was decked out for Christmas. The dining room table was already set with plates, cutlery and drinkware. All they had to do was cook. The fridges were fully stocked and labeled. One was for snacking and the other had the Christmas fest ingredients in it so it was a do not touch fridge.

There was a massive Christmas tree in the main room that was already decorated with angels and gold and silver balls. There was a smaller, but still big, tree in the living room where the presents that were wrapped were placed. She had everyone shop their presents to the house before hand so there some that were still in shipping boxes.

Adri couldn’t wipe the smile off her face.

Jake squatted down with Owen. "It's cold." He grabbed some and took a bite. "You can eat it. Want to try?" Owen shook his head but felt that was cold and said, "Burr." His dad nodded, "Yeah it's cold." He walked him to the door and went in.

After Owen had his coat and gloves off he took off running around to check everything out. He loved the windows, looking outside. "I'll get a fire started." Jake kissed her cheek.

"I love that smile on your face it makes all the stress worth it." He grinned proudly. "You did great with the decorating." Once the fire was going, he carried their bags up to their room.

When he came back down he grabbed one of his famous Faygo sodas. "I have to..."

Her parents were in awe. "Adri, it's beautiful. Thank you for the gifts." Her mother told her. "You've both outdone yourselves."

The first thing Owen ran to was the tree and Adri scooped him up away from it. “Same rules apply. Don’t touch the tree.” She told him and tossed him in the air before setting him back down to explore some more.

“Seeing it makes the stress all worth it. They did an amazing job.” She smiled. She couldn’t help it. She picked up Owen and they walked around while she recorded some of the cabin for Snapchat and Instagram. She had to give a huge shoutout to pottery barn for making her Christmas dreams come true.

While she showed off on SnapChat and Instagram she took her parents and Andre and Lindsey to their rooms, so they could settle in.

She went back downstairs and smiled at Jake drinking his soda. “I have to start wrapping. Maybe movie night tonight?” She asked and kissed his cheek. “I got gingerbread houses for everyone so that everyone can decorate however they want. Mom will probably start making the sweet stuff and hot chocolate. And when everyone gets here I’ll start bartending.” She smiled and gave him a kiss.

“Thank you for letting me go wild and make my dream come true. This is enough of a Christmas present for me.” She told him.
