Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 4) WF+GF

"I know. But you're right, your parents are good in situations like this. Are you going to wait and let them tell your grandparents?" He asked Adri.

Jake shook his head to heading out. "No I have quite a bit of time. I'm going to try to relax a bit. I think dad is going to come hang out here for a bit. Then I'll shower and start to get ready." Jake thought about it. "How are you going to see me in my suit before I leave?!" He pouted a little. "I may have to send you photos...I'll be heading there probably to get there as the first fight or so is starting. I don't have to technically be there until the main card starts fighting. The team may watch for a bit on the locker room before getting me ready."

Jake gave Owen an extra hug and kiss. "Be good for mama. Or Janice has permission to hang you upside down from the monkey bars!" He tickled Owen and he laughed. Jake rubbed Adri's belly. "Bye babies. Be good. Otherwise I know I'll hear about it from your mama later." Jake kissed her Adri. "Be good for Liam or I'm gonna hear about it later. And Janice has permission to put you down for a nap." He chuckled. "I love you."

“It’s not my information to tell.” She said softly. “I think that should from dad or Drew.” She nodded. “I got the family group text. So my brothers know. If I was in their situation I wouldn’t want anyone to know until I was ready for the flood of sympathy that came with it.”

“I will see all of the pictures and you’ll put it back on when we leave to get dinner.” She smiled and kissed his cheek. “Well they want to see everything so I guess we will get there before you. Text me when you get there and you’re ready for visitors.” She told him.

“Liam and Janice aren’t my keepers.” She said and smacked his hip. “I love you. Be chill and calm and do whatever you need. We will be out for a while.”

She grabbed her purse and she was ready. “Oh and we are taking the car. I can send it back, we will take a cab home or something. I don’t want you getting lost in Prague because you don’t speak the language.” She teased.

"That's smart and respectful." He nodded. "It makes sense." Jake just wanted to also know to not discuss it in front of anyone as well. He didn't want to be the one to let the cat out of the bag with something that serious.

"I can always text you as I'm heading there. We can see where we are to meet up. We will figure it out." He gave her a quick kiss.

He chuckled and tried dodging her smack. "Alright. I will. I love you."

"No baby keep the car. The hotel knows where we need to go. I can have them call someone. It will be okay." He smiled. "Bye O." He waved as they headed out.

Jake spent some time meditating and even stretched a bit while listening to some motivational podcasts. He was trying a couple new different things to help keep his mind right. He also worked on breathing techniques with the meditation. Truth was, he felt good. Just anxious to get in the cage.

His dad came up and they chatted about strategy a bit and then just other random things for awhile. He had some pedialyte and water to stay hydrated and even some protein shakes.

When it was time to get ready, Jake took a long shower and then got dressed. He grabbed all his bags, checked to make sure he had everything he needed, threw in extra clothes for after just in case he couldn't back into the suit for some reason, extra shoes as well.

He stopped at his dad's room and they walked down to the lobby together. John had arranged a car for the entire team. Jake had hired someone to follow him as his social media handler and take footage for the docu.

When they arrived at the arena, Jake walked in with people snapping pictures but he was mentally locked in to fight mode and was focused.

Adri and the gang went to the park first to get Owen outside and having fun he got to play with other kids his age. He didn’t really speak German but he knew some words. They were all playing and having a good time so that’s all that mattered.

They went to a fancier mall and did some shopping. Owen got to go into a toy store and play with some floor models and of course Adri bought him a few things to be shipped home. She did some shopping for herself as well. Couldn’t resist a good pair of shoes or a new purse or three.

After shopping they went to lunch and went to go pick up her grandparents. They went to a few museums together and Adri got a few good pictures of Owen walking with them while looking at art and artifacts.

The goal was to keep Owen up and active for as long as possible and it did work until about late afternoon and then he was throwing a fit because he was tired. He hated the fact that Adri couldn’t hold him. Liam couldn’t hold him because he was on protection duty. Janice picked him up but he wasn’t having that so she took him and rubbed his back until he fell asleep. From there it was time to go back to the hotel anyway.

Thankfull Owen was deep asleep and Liam was able to take him and carry him up to Adri’s room. Her grandparents went to take a nap before the event. Adri thought of doing the same thing. Janice had a few hours to herself and then when Jake let them know they could head over, she would call everyone upstairs so they could leave as a group. She thought about taking Owen and letting him hang out in the warm up room, but it depended on his attitude.

Jake texted them once he got to the arena. Let him know where his locker room was. The team would watch the preliminary fights and before they got to the last fight, he'd start to get changed and ready. There was seven pre-lim fights and five main card fights including Jake's. The guys had a little while.

It was a nice way for the team to get ready and have a little fun before having to work. Once the main card would start it would be all business for all of them.

Jake left passes for everyone to get back to the locker room. John would meet Adri anywhere to help escort then back and when she'd go sit, he'd go with her because he wouldn't stay in the corner. Luke would but was taking a back seat this fight.

He did an interview with UFC for them to play during the PPV. The more fights that passed the more nervous he got.

When the time came, he put his shorts on and put athletic pants over it with his name and Venum on the side. His shirt was his logos and name with venum, UFC or reebok on them. The zip up hoodie was the same. Same red and black for them all to match. He sat down to let one of the guys tape up his hands then get then checked and signed off on.

Jake then did some small warm up drills with the team while they waited.

Adri took her grandparent to the fight and Owen and Janice were able to come along. Owen got a snack and he seemed content with being up, so he was easy. They got there as one of the preliminary fights was finishing up and Adri took them backstage to go see Jake and walk them around backstage. Everyone was hustling and bustling to get where they needed to be.

Adri was in a sparkly red tank top and black jeans which kind of hid the belly but at certain angles a belly was noticeable. Most people were trying to watch the fight though so they shouldn’t be paying any attention to her. She wanted to make it a quick trip to Jake to wish him good luck and take a few pictures for her grandparents and then they would leave him alone. Owen was happy to see Jake for the first time all day so he wanted to play with daddy.

When it was time for Jake to really focus Adri gave him a kiss and told him good luck. Owen and Janice stayed in a back room where Owen could watch cartoons until the fight was over. Adri had the option of staying back here to relax and get away from the drinking and general loudness but she wanted to watch her grandparent’s experience their first ufc fight.

It would be her first time watching it completely sober and while she was desperate for a drink to calm her nerve she opted on a pretzel and nacho cheese instead and watched the first few title card fights.

Jake was excited to see Owen and Adri's grandparents. He got to get a few photos with Owen and give him a huge hug before they left. He also got photos with her grandparents. Her grandfather seemed really excited. When they had to go, Jake gave Adri a kiss and told her he loved her. "If you can't watch, you can watch cartoons with Owen..." He joked with a grin and smacked her ass on the way out. "You look hot by the way..."

John left with them to find his seat as well. Jake needed to get ready for the fight and his part of the job was done. He wished him luck and gave him a hug before leaving.

Once they all left, he started warming up with some punching combos. Then some kicks. He stretched and stayed loose and warmed up. When they got to the fight before his, he really started to get nervous. He jumped around a bit and got his mind right. Jake mentally told himself he could do this. He was no longer the failure he used to be.

When it was time for the main event, his opponent would walk out first. Jake walked out, to his normal Kings Never Die but this time, he walked out with his belt around his waist and his team following him. Jake looked pissed and definitely ready to kick some ass as he headed to the octagon. When he walked by the area that his family was he looked at them and gave them a nod, especially Adri.

When he got to the octagon, he took his belt, pants, hoodie, and shirt off, handing them to one of the guys on his team. They checked his gloves, face and mouth guard before he got in the cage. He put his hand up as the crowd cheered and went around the octagon. Jake had fans. They really liked his story. It was a great feeling to have such a backing but also added the pressure to do well for the fans as well.

Adri blew him three kisses when he looked at her. One for her and two for the babies. Owen gave him his kiss before he left. The whole family was on his side. No matter what happened, they were all proud of him. Her grandfather whistled when Jake came out and started getting undressed. He bought almost all of the Jake Daniels merchandise being offered at the stand, which was adorable to Adri. They easily could have given him anything but her grandfather wanted to buy it. Her grandmother was watching but decided to sit and knit until it was Jake’s turn. The UFC social media manager was having a field day with that.

The fight was brutal, as she expected it to bed. Adri was able to watch it sober though. She had butterflies in her stomach and the babies were fluttering around her belly. She wasn’t sure what they were doing, but she liked to think they were cheering

When her grandmother asked who was winning, Adri explained and took the moment to sit down. Her back was killing her. Her feet were swelling, but she had to act like she normally did. Stand, yell and cheer for Jake.

When the announcer, announced Jake and as champion, the crowd went crazy. He put his arms up already in victory. Jake did a quick jump up. Jake gave Adri another quick look. He knew this wasn't easy for her to watch and being pregnant.

The ref told them they went over the rules already. It was a championship game so it was five rounds. Jake was the favorite to win but even some people that they polled, took his opponent. As the first bell rang, Jake reached his glove out, let his hit Periera's glove. Their reach was fairly close but Jake had an extra inch on him.

The first round started off a little slow, Jake kept his distance and made smart punches. They were few but had power and landed. Periera had a couple good punches but not a lot. Jake stuck to the game plan pretty well, until his opponent nailed him across his forehead with a knee. It rocked just a little but he could see blood almost instantly. Jake figured it was bad and he put his hands up to defend himself almost right away which was good. He could hear Luke and Rich telling him to put keep his gloves up and to take him to the ground.

Joe Rogan talked about how bad his cut was. Jake shot on him and got the take down on Periera. He found to wear him down or get him in a submission. Jake could tell from the amount of blood that cut had to be a big one but he couldn't really feel it. It may not be bad considering, heads bleed pretty badly.

Adri watched the fight with a series of faces and emotions. Like she usually ended up doing, she covered her face and sometimes watched between her fingers. That was how she kissed the knee to his forehead.

When she looked again, there was blood over the mat. She looked at Luke and Rich and they weren’t concerned so she wasn’t either. This was a bloody sport, she knew that.

It wasn’t until she saw who the blood was coming from that she really felt her stomach turn. The bell rang and signaled the end of the fight. The ref looked at Jake’s forehead and kept poking at it. He had a cotton swab up to it and was talking to Jake.

They would call the fight. They had too. It wouldn’t stop bleeding. The ref let him go and went to confer with another ref on the sidelines while Jake went to his team.

Adri didn’t know what to do. She was sure the fight was over. It had to be. She didn’t know how Jake would feel about that. It wasn’t really a loss. The wound was still gushing. She sat down again and her leg bounced anxiously. She but her lip and waited for the verdict.

Jake told the ref he was fine. The octagon side medic came to look at it. His team had cotton on it. They had things they could use to try to help with cuts to stop the bleeding.

"If that doesn't stop bleeding, we may have to call this..." The medic told him and stood by and watch the team. His actual coach and was telling him some strategy on what they needed to do. He was listening but also worried that maybe they'd call the fight. It didn't even hurt, probably from the adrenaline.

Luckily they got the bleeding to stop. The medic checked it and gave the okay. "If it busts back open...I'm calling it." He told Jake which gave him a nod and got up to get back into the fight.

Luke looked at Jake, "Protect your head." Jake gave him a nod. Luke looked over to Adri, giving her a nod that he was okay.

Jake went back in and he kept his distance for a little bit before hitting some good punches and even a few kicks. His opponent hit him a couple times but not near his head. Then Jake saw his shot to take him to the ground and just started pounding on him when he knew he was rocked. The ref called it and pushed Jake off Periera. Jake was estatic and the crowd went crazy. Even Joe Rogan was surprised at the change of events. Everyone at the end of the round thought he was done for.

Adri gave Luke and incredulous look and looked at Jake. She looked up at the prompter that was showing how deep the cut was in replay and shook her head. He was not okay. That cut was way too deep.

She bit her bottom lip and rubbed her temples. If he lost, no one would be happy. He needed concussion protocol. There was no way a cut that deep didn’t come with other issues.

When he won her heart felt like it was going to give out. She didn’t know how he managed it but she was happy for him. He got a new belt. He was the champion still. That was the farthest thing from her mind. She sent Janice a text to keep Owen in the back. Jake needed to get cleaned up and patched up and checked before she wanted Owen to see him.

Her grandmother full invested in the fight was jumping and clapping with her husband happily. Adri smiled and hugged John and then her grandparents.

The cameras were definitely on Jake's family after the win. Jake was running around the cage at first excited with his fist up in victory but he also knocked Periera out so he wanted to make sure he was okay so he toned it down and then went up to him and told him he had a damn good fight. Jake got lucky and he knew it.

His team came in and was excited as the announcer called Jake the winner "and still champion." Jake lit up. The cage interview went to Jake. "What a change in events Jake. You were bleeding from your head, and I have to say that thing looked gnarly. The medic was close to calling the fight and then the second round you came out guns ablazing and knocked him out."

"Yeah, I knew if I got hit too many more times and busted that back open, it was over so I had no choice. I had to do something and get a win. He's not as good on the ground so I saw my chance and took care of business." Jake told him.

"Did you know how bad it really was?"

Jake shook his head. "I still don't know. I just know that I saw how bad I was bleeding. I thought it had to be bad from that but you never know....When the medic came over I had a bad feeling. But I just focused on what my coaches were telling me and focused on the fight."

"That was probably the best come back. You may win fight of the night. Is there anything else you want to say?"

Jake looked over to Adri and her grandparents. "I just want to tell my fiance and family I love them. Her grandparents came to see their first fight and I got to kick some ass and I won another belt! I feel pretty damn good actually." Jake smiled and thanked him before they headed out and back to Jake's locker room. He waved at Adri and her grandparents.

John looked at Adri. "I'll escort you guys back. I want to see how bad he's doing myself..." He told her.

Jake got back and his team medic looked at his forehead and started to clean things up a bit. Jake knew he had too much blood to go over and see Adri and her grandparents. Security probably wouldn't have let him go too far anyways. He cleaned up as much as he could for them to come back. Jake finally got a look of his head in the mirror. "Holy fuck....How did this not get called?" He asked Luke quietly. Luke had no idea, "I don't know man. But uh, your woman is going to come after me. And you..." He patted his shoulder and walked away. "This needs covered before Adrianna sees this." He sat down so they could cover it at least.

Adri nodded her head to going back with John. They had to wait for her grandfather’s third beer to show up before he was willing to walk with them. It took them a while to get back because they had to go through some crowds and some people wanted pictures or just wanted to celebrate.

By the time they got to the back Jake had stitches and a bandage over his cut. The first thing she did was check on Owen watching cartoons. He was still awake and happy so he would be coming along to their next stop. She wanted to see Jake before Owen did though.

She looked him over like she always did but her eyes kept going back to that cut. That cut that looked so deep on the prompter. “Congratulations baby.” She told him. The camera was still on him filming his post celebration so she couldn’t say too much about how she felt.

She kissed him softly and rubbed his sides. She looked at his forehead again. “How are you feeling? Does your head hurt?” She asked. Now that she saw he was cleaned up, she let Owen and Janice come out and see him.

“I have a surprise for dinner. When you guys are ready we can go.” She told him.

Jake smiled at Adri when she came in. "Thanks baby..." When she looked him over and asked how he felt, he nodded. "I'm okay. It doesn't hurt. Not yet anyway." He smiled and gave her a kiss.

Jake said hi to Owen and gave him a couple kisses. They all got some photos before he had to go get cleaned up. "I gotta shower and have a quick press conference to do." He kissed her cheek. "I won't too long. I promise."

He told her and got his gloves and tape off to jump in the shower. He was careful not to get his stitches wet.

Jake got dressed again in his suit and headed out for his conference. Dana apologized that it took a little bit and thanked the media for sticking around.

The first question for Jake was, "We heard you had a minor surgery in the locker room..."

Jake chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, I just got some stitches from the medics until I can have someone really look at it if it needs looked at. It's not too bad they did everything here."

"How concerned were you they were going to call the fight?"

Jake nodded, "I was really concerned to be honest. That's why I moved with intensity in the second round. I've never had a medic call a fight for me. I've never needed it. I wasn't going to get hit and give them a reason to."

"How bad exactly is your injury?"

Jake shook his head and shrugged. "Again, medics here looked at it so I haven't had an actual doctor look at it. I think I'm good though. Definitely gonna scar..." He shrugged.

"Jake how does it feel to remain champion after the fear of the fight being called?"

Jake smiled. "I feel great. I really do. I have an amazing family. I have an amazing fiance. I'm second time champion. What's not to be on top of the world about?"

"Any words for Periera?"

"I spoke to him after the fight. He's a fucking great fighter. One of the best I've fought. If not the best I've fought. I'll admit that. He's going to do some crazy things in the UFC." Jake was respectful when the credit was due.

Dana told them it was enough questions and Jake thanked everyone and headed back to the team and Adri. Luke looked at the team, "Hey guys. Let's pack up, let's give these two a minute...to celebrate." Jake gave Luke a look as he left him alone with Adri.

Adri nodded her head to him showering and getting cleaned up. His face was clean. His body was still sweaty and covered in blood. It trickled down to the waist band of his shorts which were mostly black but the white sides were dotted red.

With Jake doing the interview, Adri and Luke watched from the side. “How bad was it?” She asked Luke. He cleared his throat and she turned her full attention on him. “I’ve never seen him cleaned up or patched up so quickly. How bad was it?” She asked again, but wouldn’t ask a third time.

“It wasn’t good.” Luke said keeping his eyes on Jake. “It was deep. It was bad.” He admitted.

Adri nodded slowly and watched Jake finish up. “We will see you there.” Adri told Luke and the team.

They were celebrating his win tonight. She had to keep reminding herself that. He won and he was alright.

Her grandfather was celebrating enough for all of them. He loved the cameras and seeing Jake with his belt.

“We are going to dinner.” She told him but he wouldn’t get to see it until they got to the place. They had to wait a bit for the team to finish up and get to the location first. Then they got to drive to a normal looking restaurant on the outside but when they got inside the team was there to celebrate and she got Chipotle to cater. There was no Chipotle in Prague but they managed to pull a lot of strings for their favorite fighter.

Jake chuckled when he walked in saw Chipotle. "This is awesome!" He found Adri and gave he a hug and kiss. "Thank you baby!" Jake figured she did a lot to get this pulled off for him. She was awesome and he felt pretty darn lucky that she did all of that for him.

He was starving. It wasn't a lot he had to drink before he had to fight, just more things for fuel so he felt like pigging out and it was awesome he could make his own bowl. He could add as much rice or protein as he wanted. Jake actually made two bowls and found a place to sit down for himself and Adri.

When she sat down with him, he looked at her. "You never said a word about suit...do you not like it?" He asked her. "How are you feeling?"

Adri made a chicken quesadilla and watched Jake pile up two burrito bowls. Her grandparents were wary and decided to eat something that they brought because Adri warned them before hand they may not like the food. When she sat down she ate a bit but she had a pretzel earlier and wasn’t terribly hungry.

“You look good in your suit, Jake. It fits well. It looks good on you.” She told him and rubbed his thigh. “I’m fine. You’re the one with the gash in your forehead. Are you okay?” She asked back.

“I don’t want to talk about it here.” She told him. “I’m happy you won. I want to celebrate your win. You get chipotle after every fight and here it is.” She smiled. “Are you going out with the guys after this?” She asked since some of them were planning on going to a club. Adri for obvious reasons was not.

Owen and Janice came over. Janice had food on her plate, so Adri took over for Owen. “Are you sleepy yet?” She asked and tickled his sides. She didn’t see him staying up for much longer.

Jake could sense something was wrong. "So I can pick out good suits on my own now?" He asked, wanting to raise his eyebrow but it would hurt too much to try. "You're also the pregnant one..." He said softly. "I'm okay..." He told her. It really didn't hurt all that well if he didn't try moving his eyebrows too much.

"I appreciate you getting me Chipotle. I know it couldn't have been an easy task. You're seriously the best." He put his hand over hers. Jake shook his head. "No, probably not tonight. It's been a long day. I don't really think I need to be drinking or anything. We can celebrate when we get home if they want to." He told her. "I'm sure some good bourbon and cigars may be in order down the road.

Jake smiled at Owen. "Hey buddy! Daddy doesn't normally get to see you after fights. This is new! Are you hungry?" Jake offered him some chips and chicken. He looked at Adri, "Plus you've been gone most of the day. I kind of just want to relax with you a bit..." That was not unusual for them after fights, being a bit low key.

“I feel like you have a reason for asking that. I will say for certain events, yes you can pick out your own suit. But if we need to match I will take the lead on that.” She told him. She looked at his forehead when he said he was okay.

“You’re welcome.” She said softly. “I know how much it means to you.” She wanted to make it happen for him and for a moment she didn’t think it would. Something about licensing but they pulled it out.

“The three of us are ready for bed. What about you Owen? Are you sleepy?” She asked with a yawn. She even more tired because she didn’t get much sleep the previous night. Hopefully Owen would sleep through the night tonight.

She nodded her head over towards her grandparents. “They will sleep well tonight at least.” She chuckled. Her grand mother was already starting to heavy eyelids.

He chuckled. "You were nervous about me picking out my own suit for the wedding." He grinned and kissed her cheek. "I have good taste..." Jake could tell she kept looking at his head. He never lost consciousness so he felt like he was fine for the most part.

"Yeah but you mean more." He gave her a quick kiss. "But I do like my Chipotle." Jake put something on social media about how awesome Adri was for getting him Chipotle and thanked both her and Chipotle for his post fight food.

Jake couldn't just go back and fall asleep. He'd need to wind down a bit. "Can we at least cuddle a little as you sleep?" He asked before looking at her grandparents. "This is probably the busiest few days they've had in a long time. It means a lot they came to support me. Why did your Opa buy everything at the arena?! I can get him anything and then some of what he wants. Also why aren't they eating Chipotle?" He asked.

“Jake, I’m tired and I was up with him most of last night. My back is killing me. My feet are swollen. I just want to go to the hotel, shower and sleep. I don’t know how much cuddling I have in me.” She told him honestly. He could cuddle her but she would be more focused on sleeping and he was hot so she didn’t know how long they would cuddle for.

“He would have bought the entire table if I let him.” She laughed. “He thinks you get the profits. I tried to explain but he was so happy to support you I let him do it. I’ll transfer money to mom to put back into their account.” She shook her head. “He even got the action figure.” She told him with a smile. “The one that looks nothing like you.” She laughed.

“Fragile diets.” She explained. “I don’t want them eating anything their bodies aren’t used to.” She got up to get lemonade and check on them. Her grandmother woke up and rubbed Adri’s cheeks and kissed each one and the. Put her hand on her belly. Everyone here knew about Adri so it was safe enough.

She got some lemonade and sat back down next to Jake. “I might have the car take them back while we celebrate. This one need some peace and quiet too.” She said about Owen. If they sent them along now they would all be asleep by the time Adri and Jake got back to the hotel.

Jake nodded. "Alright. That's why I wondered how you felt...I understand." Part of him wondered if he should just go out of everyone else in his room was going to be asleep but didn't say anything.

He laughed a little at the action figure. "I'll sign it. Maybe he can keep it in the box and it will be worth something down the line to give to one of the kids. I could honestly sign anything he got if he wanted me to. It would add value to it."

Jake watched Adri and wondered what exactly was wrong as he took a drink and kept an eye on Owen. He was getting tired and snuggled up to Jake.

He nodded. "Of course. They seem pretty tired. I should go thank them." Jake got up, holding Owen cause he was clinging to him for once and not Adri. Jake thanked her grandparents for coming and buying the merch. "What did you two really think of it all? It's a little crazy isn't it?"

“You don’t have to come back with us if you don’t want.” She told him. “Go party. Have fun. Get an Uber back or call for the car. It’s up to you.” She told him. She knew she would be wired. That was the whole point of the after party. To get all of his jitters out and come down naturally. If naturally meant in a boozy fog.

“Ask him tomorrow.” She said softly. “He didn’t buy it to sell it though. He doesn’t care about the value. He bought it to wear it.” She assured him.

“You’re crazy man. So dangerous.” Oma grabbed his hands and kissed his knuckles. “I worried for you the whole fight but I knew you would win.” She praised.

Her grandfather punched his stomach gently, “That’s my grandson.” He said proudly and showed him the shirt he put on from the fight. It had all the fights on the back but a picture of Jake in the front. “The best in the world.” He smiled a big toothy grin.

“But now that you’re done fighting you can eat right? I’ll make you a dinner worthy of a champion.” She promised. “Muscles are good but you need some fat too.”

"We will see how I feel when everyone starts to head out..." It was true. It would depend how tired he was or if he started to really hurt. But an easy evening tonight may be smart for him.

"I know he's not wanting to sell it. It's going to at least be worth more for what he paid for it." He chuckled. "I just feel bad, I know he over spent. But it's nice he wants to support me. Means a lot."

Jake smiled at Oma. "Thanks Oma. Means a lot. I didn't mean to worry you or anyone though..." He gave her a hug. He smiled Opa and chuckled. "You got that right. The best in the world. I'm glad you two got to come and see it in person. I know it meant a lot to me but Adri was so excited to see you. She talks about you both all the time. You've made a huge impact on her." He told them both honestly.

He laughed at Oma when she said he could eat now. "Yes ma'am. I can eat. I'd love for you to cook for me sometime. Adri said you're an amazing good. I can't wait." Owen was starting to fall asleep on Jake's shoulder.
