Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Candi)

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

The pretty executive took a quick shower and slipped into a light, breezy looking shirt with a pencil skirt. Heels on, she came into the kitchen and got a whiff of breakfast. "Mmm, smells good, love."

Chris smiled at her words and softly kissed her cheek as he placed a piping hot cup of coffee in her hands, his dark bright blue eyes sparkling. "Come eat while it is hot."

"Thank you, baby." She smiled and kissed his cheek before heading to the table, sipping at her coffee.

Chris smiled and moved to sit back down at the table, the bacon and eggs along with the toast was slowly washed down with the occasional sip of his own coffee.

Claire happily ate breakfast as she watched Rex and her husband, glad that the two had fallen into her life. As much as she loved her fiance, she had come to love that adorable pup as well. She couldn't imagine living without either one of them, and she knew that the two of them were inseparable as well. It would probably have killed him if he really had had to leave Rex behind in the move, no matter who was taking care of him.

She wondered at the way things had lined up so well for them and hoped that things would be just as perfect for her wedding.

Chris finished his breakfast along with his orange juice and coffee, standing to walk across to the sink. Rinsing and leaving his plates, cups and cutlery to dry he was ready to face the few hours of work that today would entail before none at all for the next few. The would need to be able to work for almost a week without supervision and the thought gave him a few chills as he looked out the window absentmindedly.

Claire smiled and finished up before joining him at the sink to clean her dishes as well. She kissed his lips softly after she finished. She reached down and gave his ass a little playful squeeze before she went to her purse on the counter. "Ready to go soon?" she asked, smiling at him.

Chris felt his cheeks heat as the half dazed trance that he was in stopped with the kiss to his lips and the squeezing of his butt. Laughing softly at her words a sly grin spread across his face as he walked casually to her, returned the kiss sucking on her lower lip as he gave her buttocks a good squeeze. "Always ready to go with you." he said with a wink.

"Mmmm, maybe we can afford to be a little late," she teased, happily staying within his reach as she nipped at his bottom lip and let him squeeze her. "Unless you'd rather save the fun for later?"

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris grinned even more slyly, his dark bright blue eyes sparkling and flashing with a hint of mischief as he spoke softly. "Should not be late or our charges may just not work at all."

"Fair enough, fiance of mine. You're driving today," she said as she handed him the keys. "Take me....to work," she said with a little wink, heading out to their garage.

Chris chuckled softly at her words, his blue eyes kept the shine to them as he locked the front door and opened the car for her, sliding behind the wheel he started the car letting the engine warm up as he fully buckled up. The drive would be short and he was still thinking riding to work might be better on the days they actually did.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Claire sat with him in the car and buckled up, enjoying the weather. "It's so lovely out here today..."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris smiled at her words and drove to work, the short drive seeming to take even less time today than usual. Perhaps it was just his imagination working overtime as he got out and spoke. "Yes makes me want to ride to work on days like this."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

"On a bike?" she asked with a smile. "That's not a terrible idea. But it's probably not best when we come in formally like this or have to take our computers or brief cases with," she said with a laugh. "Still, something to consider."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris listened to her words and laughed softly as he locked the car and walked casually around the car linking his arm with hers as he spoke. "Well perhaps being here we can relax the company policy on attire, laptops can be left here."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

"What a novel idea," she said with a little laugh. "I think we can settle on a few casual days, but you and I will at least need flash drives." She kissed his cheek and linked her arm in his as they continued along.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris smiled as they entered the large office building, his dark bright blue eyes noticing two of the applicants from yesterday but one was indeed missing as he sighed softly. Giving her a soft kiss on the cheek he spoke softly. "Time to get these to work and make a phone call."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

"Have fun, Chris. Try not to go too easy on them. After all, they are professionals." That said, she happily accepted the kiss to her cheek and ran off to her office to take care of more paperwork and phonecalls.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris fully absorbed her words and made direct contact with both of them as he strode closer, his tie straightened as he spoke. "Follow me and I will show your offices." Turning he strode down the corridor pointing out their offices before entering his own, making one quick phone call demanding they turn up before lunch or not at all.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Claire sat in her office and made several important phone calls that lasted way too long for her liking. Still, she managed to get everything done. Just before lunch, she decided to call Chris' office and see if he wanted to get a bite with her.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris had set all the new workers off to do what they needed to do, little stressed out he just sat in his office reflecting on the afternoon and wedding tomorrow when he took the first call. Softly chuckling it was agreed to go from the house later with two work mates as he answered her call. "Hello love, yes I will be at the front office doors shortly."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Claire smiled and said, "Okay, I'll meet you there." That said, the pretty boss lady headed down to the lobby to wait for him, glad to see that he was handling things well.

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

Chris smiled and left his office, checking on his underlings before making his way to the lobby. Sliding his long muscular right arm around her waist and placing a soft kiss on her cheek he spoke. "Lead the way my love."

Re: Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Ca

She grinned and hugged him. "Of course. Say, what do you think of me leasing the extra space downstairs to a restaurant? Then we wouldn't have to leave for lunch if we didn't want to," she said with a chuckle. She led him toward a little seafood place on the corner.
