The Legend of Zelda: Unraveled Legacy (pods6827 & StarMech)

As Link climbed upwards and the air grew colder he continued onwards, not willing to let a little chill stop him after he'd come so far. He might have appreciated slightly thicker clothes, but this was hardly the coldest he'd ever been. This far from anything or anyone else, there was little for the knight to do other than enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

His musings were cut off when he felt something bump his leg, and looked down to see a strangely colored fox running past. Then he heard hoofbeats behind him as well, and a look back showed Link that the fox was being pursued by a trio of bokoblin cavalry!

Knowing that while they were on horseback the bokoblins would have a slight advantage over him, Link drew his bow with ease, his knightly training shining through as he prepared an arrow. Taking aim at the one with it's own bow, the blonde fired his shot when it was still a few yards away from him

With great aim, Link's arrow hit one of the Bokoblins straight in the arm, throwing it off the horse as the animal continued its march, away from all the commotion. However, it appeared it wasn't out of the count as it quickly pickd up its sword and shield and rushed towards link with a series of wild slashes.

Meanwhile the bokoblin rider with the spear started to approach Link, thrusting with his weapon at him once he got in range. Finally, the bow-carrying Bokoblin took aim, ready to strike our hero with an arrow like he did before...

Dodging out of the way of the sword swings and the arrow, Link wasn't quite quick enough to avoid the spear that was thrust at him, the tip making a light cut on his arm. It likely wouldn't even scar, but in the moment it stung quite a bit.

Seeing the riders coming around for another pass at him, Link rolled out of the way of another sword swing and fired another shot at each of the other two bokoblins, hoping to knock them off and put them all on even footing.

Despite the quick hit he got, Link continued to stand focused. With quick reflexes he dodged the incoming attacks before using his bows upon the other remaining riders. A pair of quick arrows, fast and precise, flew through the air and hit the mark. One landing straight into the Bokoblin's shoulder, while the other hit it upon its back.

Both creatures fell down to the ground, while their horses simply continued galopping away. Picking up their weapons they let a cry of angel before rushed at our hero.

The one with sword & Shield continued to remain close, swinging again and again while also keeping its guard down. The bow-user continued to keep its distance and the spear-carrying Bokoblin lunged once more with a thrust of its weapon, trying this time to stab much deeper...

The mysterious fox still appeared to be hiding, strangely not flat out leaving the scene....

Putting his bow back on his back, Link actually felt a bit more calm now that the bokoblins were off of their horses. Sure they were starting to crowd him now, their weapons raised as they prepared to fight, but while they outnumbered him they certainly weren't as skilled as he.

Drawing his sword and shield just before they charged him, Link dodged the attempted strikes with an almost casual ease. These monsters were certainly no knights, he thought to himself before beginning his counterattack.

Turning his body slightly, Link waited until both of the melee combatants were within his range before unleashing his spin attack, a wordless cry leaving his lips as his blade cut into their flesh, the monsters not seeing the technique coming until it was already upon them.

Both Bokoblins were thrown away by the sheer force of the spin attack. One of them even losing the shield it was carrying into the grass.

Despite their wounds, these creatures appeared to be too one-track minded to really call their quits and immediately rushed at Link once more. Enraged, the bow-carrying Bokoblin took aim and managed to strike Link, sending him down before the other two managed to get a few quick hits. They hurt, yes, but Link had resisted worse than that and could still fight and finish them.

Link let out a grunted as the bokoblins did their damnedest to beat down on him, their blows, while having a bit of weight behind them, were nothing compared to what the Aquamentus or the Sheikah device had done to him. Not wanting to waste any more time with them, Link swung his sword twice more, the blade hitting the two in front of him and making them drop like a puppet with it's strings cut. Then, he turned his attention to the bowman.

Not wanting to give it the chance to draw another arrow, or pick up one of the weapons of the others, Link rushed forward and slashed at the monster three more times, each one slicing up it's body until, at last, it could take no more and fell to the ground. His foes defeated, Link felt his body begin to relax now that the danger had passed. Sheathing his sword, curiosity made the knight look back to see if the fox was still where it had been hiding.

The bokoblins were no more, quickly disappearing into smoke as nothing but just a few materials remained alongside their distracted weapons.

The blue-furred fox slowly peeked its head out of the rocks it was hiding behind and very carefuly started move towards Link.

It eyes started at the Hylian, eventually becoming close...

Not giving the monster remains more than a passing look, Link watched as the fox started to approach him. "I've never seen a fox with blue fur before," he muttered, watching as it moved even closer to him. Thinking that, with it's behavior it might not be wild, Link knelt down and offered a hand to the oddly colored animal, wanting to see how it would react to him once they were closer.

The fox reacted rather curiously, quickly leaping an climbing up Link's arm until reaching his shoulder. It definitely felt like it was at least trained given how quick it reacted. Did it belong to someone? Hard to say.

However, its next move caught Link unaware as it suddenly started to move all over his body. Suddenly circling quickly around his torso and waist, then getting into his shirt before popping right out and leaping back in the grass.

It was very playful, one would assume. But the fun was shortlived, as after that trick the blue fox started to ran away from his sight without any other notice.

The young Hylian would have just wrapped up that moment in his mind right there...but then suddenly noticed how he felt a slightly bit lighter. A quick checkup to his stuff would prompt him to alarm...

Half his Rupees were gone!!!!

"Uwah!" Link cried out as the fox crawled up his arm, eyes widening as it clambered around his body for a moment. "Heh, okay, that's enough," the knight said, a bit of humor in his voice as the fox jumped back onto the grass. "You're a friendly one aren't you?"

As the fox began to bound away Link took a step forward and heard the slight clink of his rupees, kept safe in his pouch...or were they? A quick glance down proved Link's fears right, as there were quite a few of the shiny gems missing! But how was that possible? He thought to himself. He'd even been extra careful and put it under...his...shirt...

The realization hit Link like a thunderbolt, and he looked up towards the direction the fox had gone in. "Oi!" He called out, already starting to run after it, "Get back here with my rupees!" While the furry little thief had a bit of a head start on him, the knight figured that between his longer stride and the openness of the area he might have a chance to catch up before it escaped.

Alas, as much as he ran, checking every nook, every tree and every rock amongst the open field, the thieving fox had all but vanished. No sight of the small unique-furred creature, he was just on his own, missing a good share of his rupees.

There was nothing to do. That money was already gone. Luckily, the fox thief hadn't taken anything else. He was still on the way to where Gale Roost Village lied. However it was a long trip.

His eyes eyed some of the wild horses that continued to roam the area after the bokoblins' defeat. He could attempt to take one or continue at foot...

Grumbling under his breath as he realized that he wasn't going to be finding that thieving animal any time soon, and at this point he was willing to cut his losses and just continue on his way. The sole good news was that the fox hadn't gotten into any of the supplies that Kaji had given him. The loss of a portion of his rupees was a pain, but with what he'd saved from not staying at an inn last night he still had a bit of a safety net just in case anything else happened.

Eyeing the wild horses who were still slowly making their way around the clearing, Link considered that he might be able to ride one of them to his destination in order to get there faster. While Mr Bo had never kept horses at his farm one of their neighbors had, and he and Ilia had spent more than a few afternoons watching them, occasionally being allowed to approach them. Ilia had always been more enthralled by them than he was, but he'd still picked up a few things.

Reaching into his bag Link pulled out some of the apple slices he had saved for his next meal, placing a few on the palm of his hand as he approached one of the horses. "Hey girl," the knight whispered, moving slowly towards her front so as not to scare her, "I've got something tasty here for you."

((Dunno if I asked this before but I may have forgotten: Since we are going to Gale Roost Village, a home for the Rito, how do you want for the Rito to look like?: Bird humanoid people like in Breath of the Wild? Humans with beak noses able to turn hands into wings like in Wind Waker (Minus the chibi artstyle)? Or maybe a combination; Human-looking with beak noses but with always feathery winged arms? Since we'll be seeing Rito soon I assume it'd be best to ask now))

A dark brown horse slowly approached him, somewhat cautious. Step by step of its hooves, eventually it reached the young hylian, glancing at his apple sliced. Slowly and steady it descended it's head upon his hands as the slices where quickly pushed by its lips into the mouth, taking a liking to the flavour.

It's defenses down it appeared Link took the opportunity and managed to ride it. It was a bit difficult given the lack of saddle or reigns, but still managed to start guiding the horse forward...

----------------------------------------------

Meanwhile....

The fox continued to run and run, eventually finding a hidding spot located on a underpass that passed through a secluded hill. That's when the small animal stopped and sighed.

"I'm sure I lost him..."

The fox then appeared to be encased in a cloud of mist. From within this veil, it started to change; Leaving the shape of a small fox and into the figure of a Hylian woman.

She emerged from the mist. A beautiful young woman of blue hair, length around just slightly past her shoulders, and slightly tanned tone of skin. She wore a Keaton Mask which she then took off, revealing her eyes of a beautiful pinkish purple iris color and a star-like marking right underneath her left eye.

She was wearing a set of a red top, with exposed shoulders and a cleavage window, and red pants. She stretched her body, very curvy and busty, a great balance. "Mmm...much better."

She glanced at the pouch of stolen rupees, sighing. "It's not much, but enough to get close to my quota. Should have tried to snag his sword or maybe that old looking Slate he had...hm, I swear I saw something like that before...still probably couldn't have run away too much with it in fox form. Maybe next time I can plan better and steal more..."

With a devious smirk, she mutters to herself. "Anything to survive..."

-----------------------------------

This riding eventually, lead him to see the figure of a wooden horse upon the distance. A ranch started to appear in his vision. A Pitstop for travelers in the form of a two floor house with a series of cloths on top, giving it a sort of tent-like look. The horse itself seemed tired, so just keep going was probably not the best idea...

((I believe we discussed them looking more humanoid, like in Wind Waker.))

"That's it," Link whispered, bringing a hand up to gently stroke the back of the horse's neck as it devoured the food in his hand, "I hope you don't try to steal my rupees, I've kind of had enough of animals doing that today," he joked.

Once it seemed like the horse was distracted Link climbed up onto it's back as quick as he could and did his best to point it in the direction that he needed to go in. It wasn't particularly easy but after a while Link started to get the hang of it.

-----------------------------------

Some time later Link and his mount came across a ranch along the path and, seeing that the horse was starting to tire (and he wasn't exactly full of energy himself either), the young man decided to see if he could stop there to rest for a bit. Managing to point the horse in the direction of the building, Link began looking for a worker, or anyone else he could speak to about staying.

As Link arrived at the small Ranch, already a small group of travelers appeared to be gathering and stepping inside. Workers of the Stable, wearing their cloth uniforms, were taking the horses inside, as the sun started to set.

Of course, small signs of the modern day still stood out from the rustic and old-timey place; A special area was reserved for a energy pump to charge up any car that needed help. Now these were machines similar to what we would call a simple Gas Pump, but it looks showed a series of glowing markings, usually signs of the modern consume-friendly magitech of the Hyrule of today, as well as a see through window, showing the glowy blue energy fuel inside that tended to charge the vehicles. Even at the stables seemed to have a small space where two vehicles seemed to be parked. Even in such a secluded place, signs of technology could be see in this modern era.

Across the air, a delightful tune could be heard not so far from there. It seemed to come from a small hill a couple of feet behind the ranch, but its mesmerising music managed to reach the pitstop's surroundings just fine. Such joyful notes put both Link and the steed at ease.

However, a concern soon sprouted, once Link too a good look at a sign placed at the entrance, just past the wooden fence that surrounded the building, right next to the dirty road where horses, and the usual car, tended to pass. It showed the price for keeping the Horse for the night, as well as how much renting a room, as well as eating, cost. Doing some calculations, our heroes was put on the spot when, thanks to that lupine pickpocketer, he didn't have enough to both reserve a spot at the stable AND rent a room for himself! His funds appeared to be low.

Until he had to choose, Link simply tied to horse to a nearby pole. The still not-quite tamed animal tugged a bit, upset, but soon cooled down and simply stood there, watching its surroundings.

The entrance to the building was wide open, letting him see inside a variety of people both working and relaxing. Sitting near a table was a beautiful Gerudo woman taking a drink at her glass wearing a green top with gold markings and a baggy white pants; traditional getup from the far-away desert. She was tall and with a muscled physique as plenty of her race with her fiery red hair made up in a bun on top of her head with a nice golden pin keeping it steady.

Not so far from her was a cute young Hylian woman of brown tied up hair and green eyes. She appeared to be wearing some traveler's clothing, good for mobility across the field and had a sheathed iron sword in a leather scabbard and a wooden shield on her back. An adventurer-type, by the looks of it.

Then there were some of the ranch's workers, uniforms and all, attending in thigns like cleaning while another pretty Hylian girl attending the clients as she carried a tray with drinks. She appeared to work in here.

In the end, Link had to be wise and pick a choice, as he doubted he could cross much territory after such a trek. Maybe someone in the general area could help him...

- Perhaps, Link could ask that ranch worker if she needed help at the inn attending the clients. Maybe if he worked, he could get enough Rupees to rent a room for him.

- Maybe, he could ask one of the stable workers to let him sleep at the stable with the horse. Saving Rupees in the process!

- Or maybe, that green-clad traveler could lend him a hand! She seems like a kind person...

- He could also ask that Gerudo dame for help. As her kind always seemed to trek through long distances, she may know something that can help him.

- Or how about that Music? Whoever is playing it must also have a room or at least some Rupees to spare! Link could go and find the source of such lovely tune.

- And, of course, there was always the option of just untying the wild horse and just let it free as it wasn't that well-tamed other than offered some food and he could save having to spend Rupees on it as it returns to the wild.

((Time for another Choose Your Own Adventure bit. Depending on what option Link picks, he may encounter a different girl or event, so up to you. All options will make something happen and Link get an event with someone, so it's all up to you...))

Looking at the costs of staying here with a sinking stomach, Link once more cursed the fox that had robbed him of his money. Well, he thought after a moment, he could always save a bit of money by sleeping in his tent, but after the day he'd had part of him was looking forward to sleeping in an actual bed. And he could also simply let the horse go free as well, but he'd started to become attached to the animal. And of course it'd also be good to have a better way to travel.

Hearing the delightful music being played in the background, the young knight decided to try and find whoever was playing the song. Maybe they'd be able to help him out, and if not then at least he'd be able to relax for a moment after the last couple stressful days he'd been having.

Link follow the melody around the area, circling around the ranch, he continued a bit further past the pens with some of the farm animals and where past a small pond with a few hopping frogs.

The music stopped when he did, but lucky for him, the same source started another joyful song, which invigorated our hero to proceed with his choice.

Eventually, atop a small grassy hill, he found the source. An accordion was being stretched and squashed; Played to emit such soothing melodies. The one carrying the instrument was also a sight: A Rito young woman of slightly spikyish blue hair, somewhat on the short side. Of curvaceous hips and slightly tanned skin; The type of someone who tended to spend a lot outdoors, with a beak nose like all Rito do, of a greyish black tone.

She wore a white scarf around her neck, as well as a brown tube top, her midriff exposed, some white pants that really held on to her curvy figure, and a feathered headpiece upon her hair. she also had some red markings of face paint around the contours of her eyes.

She appeared to be focused on her music, her hips swaying ever so slightly in tune with her song, as if caught in her own little world. A few minutes, however, she felt the presence of our hylian hero and she paused her accordion's motions.

"Oh?..." She turned back to see Link standing there and chuckled. "Well, guess I had an spectator around and I didn't even notice, haha! Pardon me, I just tend to get too immersed whenever I start playing."

She smiled, taking a good look at the man. "So, I'm guessing you're another traveler making his way through? The name's Kassandra, but my friends call me Kass or Kassi. Pleasure to meet you."

As the song changed Link could feel himself start to tap his feet to the new, light and peppy beat. As he stood there he couldn't help but look the Rito woman over. She was certainly beautiful, her appearance as enticing as the music she was playing.

Link leaned against a nearby tree as he listened to the music, taking a moment to relax after the stresses of the day. Eventually though it seemed that his presence was detected, as the woman stopped playing to look at him. "There's no need to apologise," the knight said, bringing an arm up to rub the back of his head, "Well, I suppose I should for interrupting you, I just wanted to meet the person who was playing such great music up here."

The young man nodded at the Rito's introduction. "Pleased to meet you too Kass, I'm Link. And you'd be right, I'm making my way towards Gale Roost Village, though I'll probably stay the night here." At that thought Link made a small grimace, "If I can scrounge up the last few rupees I need for a room anyway."

"Link, huh?" Kass said with a light chuckle, "Quite the nice name you got there. Did you know there are countless of songs and poems involving that name? A common name in tales and legends it seems. Used to heard them ever since I was a little baby chick, haha."

That's when her face perked up at the sound of his destination, "Wait, Gale Roost Village. Well pluck my feathers, the odd coincidences never end. You're doing good time, I gotta say. The nice patch of land I call my hometown is just is still a bit far, but only a day over."

With her hand she pointed upon a structure that appeared to be far. Some kind of tower with some kind of house at the top. It was still visible, just past a couple of small hills and what seemed like a big river. "See that tower over there? That's the Crow's Nest, as we call it. Many Rito are well known to work as deliverymen and woman and that acts as their base; Most of Hyrule's postal service and delivery come from there."

Putting her hands upon her hips she smiled and continued, "That is the sign you're getting close. Just a little past you'll end up finding the huge ridge and, right across some of its walls, you'll find yourself at Gale Roost Village. We Rito love the air, you see. So we built our main town right upon the walls of the ridge! Impressive, huh?"

"Me? I always wanted to travel and see the world on my own. Play my music and let the wind carry me. Had this big gig at Hyrule Castle Town but, well, with the news of what happened I am now having to rethink where I'm gonna go next. Which reminds me..."

Suddenly, Link was surprised by the blue-haired Rito to take out a Eye Slate and take a picture of her surrounding, including him. She simply chuckled. "This is my first step so might as well take a picture of the moment, right? Besides, I was originally gonna travel with a friend of mine until the Castle Town scare kind of made her guardians back off to the idea. I'm gonna take a pic of every big place I visit so she doesn't feel left out!"

"But here I am yammering about myself again." Kass said, now focusing on his predicament. "I don't have much Rupees to spare, but...."

she took a good look at Link.

"Maybe we could save us both the trouble, and share one room. What do you sat?"

"That's interesting to hear," Link replied, "You'd think it'd be a more popular name if that's the case, but I don't think I've ever met anyone else named Link." He listened as Kass mentioned that his destination was her home, his eyes following her finger towards the tower that despite the distance between them could still be seen. He let out a small whistle at the sight of it. "Very impressive," the knight agreed.

The blonde grimaced slightly at the reminder of what had happened in Castle Town, "Yeah, that's a real shame, I can't think of any place that needs some good music and cheer right about now." He hadn't seen much of the city before he'd left on his assignment, but he hoped that the rebuilding was going well. His eyes widened in shock at the bright flash, shaking his head slightly to clear his vision as she explained herself. "You're a pretty good friend," he said, "You know, I've got a friend who's always wanted to see the rest of Hyrule outside of Castle Town, maybe I'll do the same for her." He figured Zelda would appreciate the gesture, stuck under guard as she was right now.

"Really?" Link perked up at Kass' offer, smiling as he looked at the Rito, "That'd be great, thank you!" He gave a sigh of relief, "Man, that's a load off of my mind, I was worried that I might have to sleep in a tent tonight!"

As the sun finally gave up and the night started to take over, Link and Kass, after some more time of playing music, stepped up the wooden stairs inside and soon enough opened the door of their current room.

It was a rather cozy place; Carpeted flooring all around with a medium-sized desk, a bed and a closet and mirror. Everything of polished wood as well as equipped with the right stuff like towels for the bath in the other room, some extra sheets and pillows, the works.

The one remaining problem was the fact that there was only one bed...

Link was going to ask her how to deal with this when his eyes caught something else. There she was, Kass ahving left her accordeon aside before starting to pull down her tube top. Tossing the cloth to the side she was now topless, no bra and just her round rbeasts bouncing; She now started to work on her sash and belts.

She shortly glanced at Link, "What's with the look?"

After spending a bit of time listening to the rest of Kassi's performance, eventually Link looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was setting, the world around them growing darker as night fell. Mutually deciding to call it a night, Link followed the Rito to her room.

Seeing only one bed the young knight turned to ask Kassi how they'd decide who would get it. He was more than willing to let her have it, she'd already been more than kind by letting him stay in her room, she didn't need to do anything more. Turning to tell her that, Link was shocked to find that said woman was already preparing for bed by removing her clothes!

The shock was enough that Link couldn't look away, her attractive form capturing his attention as she started taking off a few more articles of clothing. Her question caught him off guard. "Well, I'm just a bit shocked," Link said, forcing himself to meet Kassi's eyes even as his dick started to stand at attention, "I wasn't expecting you to just strip down like that..."

That's when Kass realized something, and proceeded to giggle. "Oh, I see..."

"I suppose I was coming in a bit too strong..."

She continued to undo her clothing, bending as her bottoms came off, now in simple some panties and topless. "I just assumed. We're both two young teenager travelers, in the harsh wilderness, and sharing a room in a hot night..."

She smirked rather devilishly under her beak nose. "I just assumed one'd do what comes off as natural~"

His shock fading away, Link grinned at Kass. "Well you'll get no argument from me!" he replied, looking the beautiful Rito up and down appreciatively before he started to remove his own clothes. The sight of her was more than enough to get the knight good and hard, her full breasts bouncing slightly as she bent over.

Stepping forward Link placed an arm around the Rito's waist, holding her close as he tapped her beak with his nose. Yeah, let's just do what comes naturally to us," he murmured, pulling Kass into a kiss as his hands started caressing her body. "We can make some music of our own..."
