Door opens inward, yes? It's a bedroom, so the hinges are supposed to be on the inward side.

Wedge something under the door to keep it closed. Ideally something wedge-shaped, but there's always the classic door under the knob, or long stick braced at an angle. Furbys are vicious, but not strong, so it shouldn't take much.

If you're feeling daring, you can actually dart out, grab the fucker, and put it outside your roommate's door before it bites you.
