It's Just Human Nature (MysteriousD/DaddysLittleSkank)

"Yeah though Diego did mention that some places did not need cars or something," Finn added as he was wondering how life was like.

"He did not do that much though," Diego said, shaking his head at the reasoning Hunson was making. "Though I thought he would've said horde or some other old-timey word," he said, smirking at him poking fun at his father in law.

“Yeah, some places have everything so close that you just had to walk a little to get to things.” Morgan said. “It was definitely different from Ooo.”

“Well a horde is completely different than a gang.” Marceline said. “When you say horde, I think a big group of zombies or something.”

“Yeah though a lot has changed,” Finn told her as he noted how more and more towns were appearing. “I wonder how it’d be when more humans would appear,” he noted.

Diego laughs and Aurelio laughs along. “Yeah, that makes sense,” he said to Marceline with a smile before he embraces her. “I love you so much,” he said to her.

“The thing about humans is they tend to suck.” Morgan explained. “They murder eachother, hate eachother for minor things, and they destroyed the environment. I saw the worst humanity had to offer.”

“Love you too.” Marceline said as she kissed Diego on the lips.

"Yeah, but there's all sorts of wicked monsters and stuff going on here too and well, the return of magic hurt the world," Finn said to her. He knew some of the negative stuff of humanity since Diego would explain to him alot of stuff.

"Well, what should we do now? I know Finn and Morgan are heading to see Princess Bubblegum," Diego said as he saw Aurelio finish breakfast.

“Not as much a humans messed things up.” Morgan stated. “I have yet to see anyone in Ooo order the deaths of 7 million based on what deity they believe and a further 4 million for being disabled, different, or standing up for the other victims.” Morgan said. “A man convinced an entire country that all their problems were caused by this group of people and so they should die for it. Women, children, expectant mothers, and even the elderly were packed into tiny train carts without food or water and many died but weren’t taken off of the train. People were forced on death marches. Children were brain washed into turning in their own parents. There were mass graves containing hundreds of thousands of bodies, eventually there was nowhere else to put them so they began being cremated. Even a hundred years after it happened, there was still dust on the ground of those camps that was mostly human ash. Hell there were humans who would straight up murder BP and Marceline for being a same sex relationship with eachother. There were people who would shun me for being pregnant out of wedlock, and call me a whore despite having only every been with one person in that way. Humans sucked.” She paused. “And that got dark super fast.”

“I don’t really know.” Marceline stated as she grabbed the dirty dishes and began doing them.

"Look, I know all the bad stuff. Diego told me everything," Finn said to her. "But did you do any of that stuff? Did I? Just because some people do bad things doesn't mean everyone of that group is bad," Finn said to her. He fought all sorts of evil and so on. "They're not like the Lich or any of those things," he added before he had a thought.

"Are you ashamed of being human?" Finn asked her.

Diego went to help her. "Something in your mind, sweetie?" Diego asked Marceline with concern.

“Yeah, I mean I’ve only known two humans that were ever actually nice to me.” Morgan explained. “One of them is dead and I’m carrying the other one’s baby.” She put a hand on her stomach.

“Nope.” Marceline said as she finished up the dishes. She grabbed a paper towel, wetting it before cleaning Aurelio’s face.

"Well, what about Diego?" Finn asked her. "Just because he is machines inside of him doesn't make him any less human," he told her. "Besides, the past is the past, isn't it?" he asked her.

"I'm just making sure," Diego said as he went to kiss her cheek. "There iis something that has been bothering me. As I was tuning to try and hear a radio, I began getting faint signals from somwhere," he said to her.

“I completely forgot about him. Well more than that I forgot he’s human.” Morgan explained.

“Any idea what it could be?” Marceline asked.

"Oh man, how can you forget him? We just had lunch with him and Marcy like just a few days ago," Finn asked her with a bemused laugh. "But, like, saying all humans are bad and stuff because of what some did... isn't that kinda messed up?" he asked her.

"I... I think it's human settlements," Diego said after a while of focusing and contemplating on the entire thing.

“Well I forget that he’s human because of the bots.” Morgan explained. “And it’s a lot easier for me to say all humans suck when only a handful of the hundreds I interacted with treated me like an actual person.”

“I wonder if something is wrong.” Marceline said. “Maybe Bonnie could help you.”

"But doing stuff the easy way isn't the right way, not very often," Finn told her as they arrived at the palace.

"It's not... I mean, there has to be stuff beyond the continent of Ooo... so maybe some human settlements have survived beyond here. I mean, Finn had to have come from somewhere," Diego said as he began thinking of all the rammficiations.

“I’m pregnant, Finn, I do everything the easy way.” Morgan said. “Especially when I actually start showing.”

“Yeah.” Marceline said, thinking.

“And when you weren’t pregnant?” Finn asked as he greeted Peppermint Butler and was leading them over to see Princess Bubblegum. “I just don’t want ya to be bummed out and hate yourself,” he told her with concern.

“We’ll go and tell the Princess later, I’m gonna see if I can get anything,” Diego said as he synchrd with the radio to boost. “I know about Finn’s Dad, least a bit, but what about his mom?” He wondered out loud.

“I don’t hate myself.” Morgan said. “Just because I hate humans doesn’t mean I hate every single human.” She took Finn’s hand, “I like you after all.”

“That’s not my place to explain, you’ll have to ask Finn himself.” Marceline explained.

“And I love you too,” Finn responded as he kissed Morgan on the cheek and saw Princess Bubblegum there. “Hey PB, we’re here,” Finn said with a smile.

“I meant I wonder what she’s like, given I don’t think Finn ever met her,” Diego clarified.

“Hello.” Bubblegum said in a chipper voice. She had a number of machines set up and seemed excited.

“Well his dad is a piece of shit so my guess is that Finn takes after her.” Marceline said.

"Wow, PB, you seem really excited for this," Finn couldn't help but chuckle at the elation that his friend was feeling for this.

"There's alot of unanswered questions. How did Finn's dad get here? Where did he come from? The thing was that back when I overclocked myself, I tried scanning his brainwaves to see if he was lying... he wasn't. He was brain-damaged. Memory is pretty dang shot and the part that controlled emotions and other things were also affected, almost by magic," Diego explained to her. He didn't like talking about the time he over-clocked himself, give how it began to injure him, even if he made a full recovery.

“I’ve never witnessed a human pregnancy before.” Bubblegum explained. “I’m excited to see how it progresses.”

Morgan laid down on the exam table, lifting up her shirt as Bubblegum got the machines ready.

“Either way he was a jerk.” Marceline said as she picked Aurelio up.

Finn couldn't help but chuckle at PB's exciement as he helped PB prepare Morgan. "You okay?" Finn asked Morgan in regards if she was worried about all of this that was happening.

"Yeah, but I can't help but wonder if he was always like that," Diego said as he crossed his arms. He relaxed when he saw his son and kissed him. "Though that's something for later. For now, we have the whole day for ourselves," he said to her.

“Yeah.” Morgan said as she took Finn’s hand, clearly nervous as to what would happen.

“Are you two ready to see your baby?” Bubblegum asked and Morgan nodded.

“I just hope Finn can be a good dad regardless of who his real dad was.” Marceline sighed.

"Yeah we're ready," Finn told PB, looking excited and proud already.

"What do you wanna do?" Diego asked Marceline while blowing a raspberry on Aurlio's tummy.

“Okay, this is going to be cold.” Bubblegum warned as she squirted some gel on Morgan’s stomach and began the scan. She did this while watching a screen that looked similar to static but not exactly. “Okay let’s see if we can find your uterus.”

“I have a few errands to run, if you wanna stay here with Aurelio.” Marceline said.

“Oh wow, how did you make this? Did Diego help?” Finn noted as he looked at the equipment and such, wondering how the baby will be.

“Of course!” Diego said as he took his son into his arms. “What are ya gonna do? Kick butt and make sure there aren’t any troublemakers around,” he noted.
