“Yeah.” Pearl said with a sigh. “I honestly think Ruby and Sapphire have it easy, both being Gems. I worry so much about Diego.”

“I know.” Rai said before smiling when Steven kissed her.
 
"We still worry too, Pearl," Garnet comforted Pearl with a soft smile on her face.

"And what ever comes our way, we will face it together," Steven added with a confident smile on his face before they arrived at the beach house.
 
“I know.” Rai said giving Steven a peck on the lips before taking a deep breath and walking into the beach house holding Steven’s hand.

“Raiden, what are you doing here?” Pearl asked.

“I thought you were sick.” Amethyst said.

“I’m fine now.” Rai responded with a smile. “In fact I’m better than fine.”

“What do you mean?” Pearl asked looking confused.

Rai looked up at Steven before answering. “Steven and I are going to be parents.”
 
“Hey you’re back! I thought you were gonna be with Peridot,” Steven asked with a bit of surprise at seeing them al be there.

He smiled when Rai told the Gems the good news. “Yup! We’re gonna be a mom and dad now!” Steven told them with a big smile his face.

Amethyst’s jaw dropped as she herself was trying to process it. Despite her jokes and humor about it, she was still quite surprised about the entirety of it all. “No way... you for real?” Amethyst managed to say.
 
“Are you sure?” Pearl asked.

“Yeah I’m pretty sure.” Rai answered. “I took a test this morning and it was positive, I haven’t gotten my period in awhile, and I've been getting morning sickness and weird cravings. Also I think it might be twins, so there’s a good chance of one of them being a girl, which I have already named.”

“Isn’t it a bit early to be naming it?” Pearl asked.

“I named her before I was even pregnant.” Rai said, she leaned against Steven. “If one is a girl, I want to name her Rose.”
 
"And mom and dad actually said if I was born a girl, they would've named me Nora," Steven mentions as he recalled the video he saw long ago. "What do you wanna name if he was a boy?" Steven asked Rai for her thoughts.

"CONGRATS!" Amethyst said once she processed everything. She hugged Steven tightly while hugging Rai much more gently. "Guess this makes me like some sort of super aunt or something?" she noted.
 
“I was thinking Gregorios or Grigórios because it’s the Greek version of your dad’s name.” Rai told Steven. “I thought that it’d be a cool way to add some of my culture in, and his middle name could be the non-Greek version of my dad’s name, Christopher or Christoff.”

“What is your dad’s name?” Pearl asked.

“Christophoros.” Rai answered.
 
“Gregorios Universe does sound pretty cool!” Steven noted with a smile. He also found it interesting the different naming aspects for Greek names. “What do you think of the news, Pearl?” Steven asked her.

While he saw Amerhyst’s reaction and Garnet’s own smile, he was wondering what a pearl would say.
 
“I’m happy for you.” Pearl said with a sheepish smile.

“But?” Rai asked.

“I’m worried.” Pearl replied

Rai went over and gave her a side hug, saying, “It’ll be fine.”
 
"I'm proud of both of you. I know you will both do your best," Garnet told Steven and Rai with a smile. When Pearl expressed her worries, Steven went and hugged her from the other side.

"They got us to help and everyone else. I mean, Steven turned out all right and he had Greg and us... but, we sucked with babies and Greg did most of the work," Amethyst confessed, laughing at how awkward they were with baby Steven.
 
“That’s not what I’m worried about.” Pearl said. “I know they can handle it, I’m just worried what might happen to Raiden.”

“The only thing you have to worry about is my pregnancy hormones,” Rai said comfortingly, “And not telling our dads because we haven’t told them yet.”
 
“What do you mean?” Steven asked her before he began thinking on what she was saying while Rainwas thinking. “Are you worried because of the child being quarter-Gem?” Steven asked them.
 
“Yes, what if by some small chance that it takes after that quarter?” Pearl asked.

“It’ll be okay.” Rai reassured. “I’m a tough person and other than some morning sickness, I’m fine.”
 
“Well, we do need to find more information in that though,” Steven arderé while he was as thinking before he heard someone shouting.

It was Diego, who was running at them and waving.
 
“The hell?” Rai asked looking out the window. “Pearl, I think your boyfriend has lost his damn mind.”

“No he does that all the time.” Pearl replied opening the door for him.
 
“Hey everyone! How are you doing?” Diego said with a big smile on his face before he embraced Pearl when she opened the door and twirled her around.”How is everypony me?” He asked gemnall.

“We’re all right, and we got big news!” Steven said before he turned to Rai.
 
Pearl blushed when Diego picked her up and spun her.

“Yeah, we’ve got huge news!” Rai stayed with a wide smile. “I’m pregnant.”
 
Diego kissed Pearl's nose with a big smile before he set her down. He then faced Rai and Steven when he heard the news.

"Oy my goodness! That's amazing! Cognrats!" Diego said as he gave them each a hug. "Any news on the child or children?"
 
“I think it’s twins.” Rai said. “We’re planning on going to Planned Parenthood tomorrow to get an ultrasound, so we’ll know for sure sure tomorrow. We’re gonna get prints to put in a gift for our dads, along with shirts that say ‘World’s Best Grandpa’ and ‘World’s Best Papou’.”
 
"Yeah, and we've got to get alot of other people gifts and such. Should we ave a party?" Steven asled Rai while Diego had a couple of books and notes and such.

"Well, I imagine we'd invite alot of the friends. Maybe you can even invite Connie too if you want," Diego noted. Connie visited a little while back to introduce her boyfriend, Dipper, to Steven and Steven introducing Rai to her. They all hit it off wel.
 
“No parties.” Rai said. “I wanna see their faces when we tell them the news, and I got t-shirts for our dads and that’s it. We can have a party to reveal the gender but I don’t want to have a huge celebration then something happen.”
 
"Well yeah, but I did mean later. And to tell the others like our friends, like Sadie," Steven expained to Rai with a smile while Diego took a smile.

"Well, maybe when Connie visits next time, she can invite her mother. She is a good doctor and Steven speaks highly of her," Diego added. There weren't many doctors in Beach City, which was Connie's mom remained in good business before they left.
 
“I have an aunt who is a midwife so I’m gonna have her come and deliver them.” Rai explained.

“Wouldn’t a hospital be safer?” Pearl asked.

“Well it’s not like I can give birth in a hospital and not raise question as to why one of them was born with pink hair, which I’m pretty sure is still a possibility.” Rai said.
 
"Yeah, but everyone here is kinda used to that sort of stuff," Steven explained to Rai in regards to giving birth. "How would your aunt feel about one of the kids having a gem or with the pink hair?" Diego added as he was sitting and thinking about the whole thing.

"Maybe the kid would be pink like that Lars dude," Amethyst added.
 
“We’ll explain it to her.” Rai answered. “And the baby won’t be pink, well at least not that shade of pink. Going based on my high school level genetics knowledge, I could very well pop out a kid the looks like my parents or Steven’s parents. Meaning I could have a baby that looks just like a version of Rose, which I personally think would freaking adorable... unless it also inherits Rose’s size then it’s less adorable and extremely painful. Honestly that is one of my biggest fear is having a baby that’s like ten pounds or more.”
