"Thanks, guy. I owe you." Rai said ruffling Mason's hair and telling him, "you be good." With that the couple were.

Mason immediately went for his toys, and grabbed his favorite, a small toy drum. He picked it up, toddled over to where Garnet was sitting, and held it out to her.

Pearl snickered, and teased, "I think you have a boyfriend, Garnet."
 
"I do not think it will take them long for them to finish their task," Garnet said as she picked up the toy drum that Mason gave to her and began lightly tapping it. Amethyst went over to ruffle Mason's hair. "Yeah though Steven did say this wasn't gonna be too common though," she added.
 
Pearl finished cleaning the kitchen and went into Steven's bathroom to clean it before walking out like a minute later. "Amethyst, Garnet, please tell me one of has a boyfriend you haven't told me about who has been here recently."

"Nope, why?" Amethyst said.

"There's two used condoms and a negative pregnancy test in Steven's garbage." She said using her thumb to point over her shoulder to the bathroom. "Please tell me they belong to one of you two."
 
Garnet just raised an eyebrow at what Pearl said before seeing what Pearl had discovered. "Nope, the two condoms are probably Steven's," Amethyst said with a shrug of the shoulders, finding it to be no big deal.

"The pregnancy test is not theirs either. Given what they mentioned about Rai's sister Alice, it is most likely hers," Garnet added. She was very sure; she had her future sight after all.
 
"Are you two the least bit concerned that they're..." Pearl cleared her throat obviciously uncomfortable saying it, "sexually active. Condoms are a full proof method of birth control, what if Rai gets pregnant? There would be a good chance that the baby is a Gem and a human has never been pregnant with a Gem before. What if Raiden dies trying to have the baby? Steven isn't old enough to take of a baby by himself. Not to mention Raiden is fifteen so there'd all sorts of complications due to her age. She's still in school and goes to a private school, what if they kick her out for being pregnant? This is Rose all over again." She started. "I'm calling Greg, he'll be better at talking to them than us." She went over to the phone.
 
"We do not know what would happen. Steven inheriting Rose's gem was because she was able to carry him. It's unlikely that the baby would be able to grow their own gem. They would most likely be formed from Steven's human parts of DNA and Rai's," Garnet explained in thought.

"P is kinda right about the normal pregnancy stuff though. I mean, from what I got from normal Beach City, it wouldn't be a big deal, but her private school is kinda in a nearby town," Amythst noted.

Meanwhile, Greg picked up the phone. "Hey Pearl, what's up?" he asked.
 
"You need to get over here to talk to Steven and Raiden when they get back." Pearl said trying to sound like she wasn't just having a panic attack. "I found used condoms and a negative pregnancy test in Steven trash can, although we suspect the pregnancy test was used by Alice."

"Pearl just freaked out, Greg, it was hilarious." Amethyst yelled.
 
"Woah, slow down, Pearl," Greg said as he took the time to absorb what Pearl was saying. He sighed as he was in thought. He was peparing himself for this, but he did not think it would be that soon. Then again, he figured it was Rai's influence.

"I'll talk to them, don't worry," Greg said, trying his best to help Pearl remain calm about the whole thing.
 
"They're helping Alice move out of Lars' place and then they're coming back here." Pearl explained before ending the conversation. She sat on the couch next to Garnet. "What if she's planning on getting pregnant so Steven will propose? I've heard of women doing that."
 
"Wow Pearl, that's kinda messed up," Amethyst said with a raised eyebrow. "I know that Rai did kinda hve things speed up, but I don't think she'd do that," Amethyst explained to her. "Besides, they're not old enough to marry... well, Steven is, but not Rai," Garnet added.
 
"Isn't there a law or something that minors can get married if their parents agree?" Pearl asked. "Chris would definitely agree if Raiden was pregnant."

Mason looked at three Gems confused. "No." He said looking at Pearl before he held his arms up to Garnet to be picked up.
 
Amethyst couldn't help but laugh, even falling off the sofa and rolling while Garnet picked the baby up. Amethyst eventually recovered. "Oh man... even the baby knows that isn't true," Amethyst pointed out to Pearl.

"EVen if they were to become pregnant, by the time the baby would be born, Raiden would be 16 and therfore capable of supporting herself," Garnet added as she tapped on Mason's toy drum.
 
Pearl glared at Amethyst while asking, "But would they be mature enough to handle a newborn? We all remember how exhausted Greg was with Steven. Hopefully Greg will be here before they get back."

"Yeah because you'll just freak out again on them." Amethyst teased earning another glare from Pearl.
 
"Greg's exhaustion was in part because we provided little if any assistance. We probably added to his stress. Furthermore, he was a single parent dealing with his own grief while caring for Steven and looking out over us," Garnet said while holding Mason and kept playing with his drum.

"Yeah... we weren't the nicest to him," Amethyst addmited with her own sheepish tone. "But I think you should talk to Rai more than Steven since she's probably the one who convinced him," she mentioned.
 
Mason clapped his hands and laughed before turning around and hugging Garnet.

"Not like we would've been much help. Greg knew a lot more about babies than us now." Pearl said. "Like when is Mason gonna start saying stuff that's more than one syllable? Does he know what he's saying?"
 
"Most likely by next year he will be able to speak," Garnet spoke up as she hugged Mason back. "However, we do need to be mre onbservant of this," she told the group.

"Observant about what?" a voice said as Peridot walked in with Lapis. "Hey you two, what's going on? Amethyst asked the duo.
 
"Garnet has an admirer, and his name is Mason." Pearl pointed Mason as she spoke.

"And Steven is getting laid." Amethyst joked.

"What?" Lapis looked confused.

"Sex, it's like fusion for humans and it can result in more humans." Pearl explained.
 
Garnet just had Mason face the arrival of the two Gems and to wave to them. "It's a very intimate matter and also how humans reproduce," Garnet added when Pearl explained it to Lapis and Peridot.

"What are you doing here?" Amethyst asked, wondering what they were doing here. "I was wondering where Steven was," Peridot asked the group as she sat down to look at Mason.
 
"Him and Raiden are helping her sister move." Pearl said.

"This... 'sex' is better than fusion?" Lapis asked.

"I like it more than fusion." Pearl said nonchalantly before covering her mouth and blushing.
 
"Yeah, so they'll be back soon and Greg said he'll be here to help us with the baby," Amethyst noted to her while seeing Lapis sit down and wondering how to answer her question.

Silence then covered the room as everyone looked to Pearl.

The silence was broken by Amethyst beginning a nonstop barrage of teasing toward Pearl. "Ooh man, P! I can't believe it! You did it!! Our little Pearl is growing up!" she managed to say before laughing.

"Better than fusion?" Peridot said, wondering. Garnet herself couldn't help but snicker at poor Pearl.

"What's so funny?" Greg asked as he entered and saw a very embarassed looking Pearl and a laughing Amethyst.
 
"Dammit." Pearl muttered under her breath. "Why do I even open my mouth around you, Amethyst?"

"Steven isn't the only one getting laid," Amethyst managed to say while laughing, "so is Pearl! And she said she likes it more than fusion!"

"Amethyst, drop it!" Pearl yelled.
 
"Wait, what?!" Greg said in surprise as he looked at Pearl. Whule he she was slowly coming around to bond more with humanity, but he had no idea or even picture that it would come close to this.

"Well.. congrats, Pearl...?" Greg managed to say before he decided to spare Pearl any more further embarassment and went over to see how the baby was doing. "How is the baby doing?" Greg asked them as he sat down to see.
 
"Thanks." Pearl said still clearly embarrassed.

"Mason's fine." Amethyst said trying to contain her laughter. "He's been flirting with Garnet all morning. First he gave her some of his pancakes, them some blueberries, tried giving her his orange juice, gave her his toy, and is now sitting on her lap." Amethyst ruffled his hair. "He's gonna be a real ladies' man when he gets bigger."
 
"Yeah though I don't think Barb will let her grandson end up like that. She is wanting to spend more time with him," Greg commented as he affectionately rubbed Mason's head.

"Human relationships are fascinating to listen to," Lapis said as she was sitting the in the circle of Gems while looking at the baby. It was still fascinating how humans started.
 
"Dennis sure as hell wouldn't." Rai said as she walked in the front door with Steven. "He'd be super pissed if Mason disrespected a woman." She went to Garnet and picked Mason up kissing him cheek. "How was he? Also who died? Like why is everyone here?"

"He was fine." Amethyst said

"We found what was in the garbage in the bathroom." Pearl said causing Rai to immediately turn bright red.

"The pregnancy test was Alice's." Rai said quickly. "The condoms were us though."
