Steven spent the rest of the night making sure Mason was all right before he fell asleep. Rai was the first of them to wake up whle he was still asleep. "I'll have some pcankes," Amethyst said with a smle while Garnet politely shook her head no.

She put a plate in front of Amethyst, one at Steven's seat, and one at her seat. "Who wants orange juice?" She asked pouring some into Mason's sippy cup.

"Good morning." Pearl said kissing Diego. "What should I make for breakfast?"
 
Steven yawned and nodded before he went over to gently pick up Mason and taking him over to hus specual seat, for when he was a kid. "Here he is," Steven said with a smile holding a morning Mason. "me, please," Steven told her with a smile.

Diego snuggled over to Pearl once mroe before kissing her. "Well, how about pancakes? How are you feeling, sweetie?" DIego asked her sweetly as he embraced her tightly.
 
Mason rubbed his eyes and yawned but didn't put up a fight. Rai poured two glasses of orange juice for her and Steven. She put the plastic plate in front of Mason while grabbing utensils for her and Steven. "Would you two mind watching Mason for skittle while today?" She asked Amethyst and Garnet. "It'd be for less than an hour. Alice broke up with Lars for good this time and Steven and I are going to help her get her stuff from his place."

"Pancakes it is." Pearl said getting up and heading toward the kitchen. "I'm a bit sore but it's nothing I can't handle."
 
Steven began dgging into the pancakes in Orange jucie while Amethyst began eating her pancakes in her usual fashion. "Yeah all right, it shouldn't be that hard. Well, eaiser than first with Steven," Amethyst confessed with a smile. "It'll be all right," Garnet told Rai with a smile.

Diego also got up and before Pearl made it to the kitchen, he went over to Pearl and embraced her from behind. "Last night was absolutely perfect and I want to let you know I love you so much and that you mean everything to me," Diego told her as he hugged her before giving her a soft kiss, total lvoe in his eye.
 
"I know." Rai smiled putting syrup on her pancakes after cutting them. "I trust you guys, and other than pulling hair, Mason's pretty easy to take care of." Mason immediately looked up when he heard his name and looked around. He then picked up a piece of his pancake and held it out to Garnet.

Pearl turned her head and kissed Diego. "It was and I'd love to stay and spend more time with you but Raiden and Steven are watching Mason and I promised I'd help."
 
"Thank you, Mason," Garnet said with a slight smile when she saw little Mason offer a piece of pancake to her. "How's the little guy been for you?" Amethyst asked Rai and Steven. "He's been good. He slept pretty well last night," Steven told them with a smile. "Yeah, i get ya. I gotta say, since we started sleeping, we've been feeling better," Amethyst says to them.

"All right and I have to open the shop later, but that just means we have to find more ways to spend time with one another," Diego told her with a smile as embraced her once more. "Are you going to transform your clothes back on or how does it work?" he asked in rgeards to the fact they were still naked, but he clearly didn't mind.
 
"Yeah, he woke up once and it was because Alice called me." Rai stated. "Before we leave in going to give him a bath, and get him dressed. Alice should be over by then."

"Are you saying you don't want to see me naked?" Pearl asked as she faked being offended. She got all the ingredients to make pancakes and got work.
 
"All right. What are gonna do today after?" Amethyst asked the two of them while she was digging into her pancakes. "I don't know, jut look after Mason. You wanna do anything like take him to the park?" Steven asked Rai while he was also enjoying his breakfast.

"Don't tease me," Diego said with his own tone before he was going to go and get dressed and came back soon after in his pajamas once more. "I like seeing you nked, but I think I'm the only one who can see you like that," he said before he sat down.

"How have things been with you and the Gems? It does look like there hasn't been that much Gem activity recently, though I think that will change soon," Diego wondered out loud.
 
"I was thinking the beach." Rai said, only talking when her mouth was empty. "Dennis or Sadie packed his swim trunks, swimming diapers, water wings, and sun screen so why not?" She turned to Mason, saying, "You're mommy said last time you went to the beach, you gave her heart attack." She took another bite. "Last time Dennis and Sadie brought him to the beach, he ate a bunch of sand. Sadie freaked and Dennis joked about him pooping out a pearl. He ended up just pooping sand."

"It's actually been pretty nice. We've actually been able to relax." Pearl explained. She finished the pancakes and put them on a plate. When Diego wasn't looking she transformed back into her normal appearance.
 
"Yeah, we could even have a picnic outside while we're on the beach while we watch him," Steven responded with a smile. Given how his house pretty much has the beach as his front yard, it was very easy and fun to do. "Oh man, that's crazy. I mean, I eat sand on occasion, but I'm not a human," Amethyst couldn't help but comment with a smile.

"Yeah, and it gives us time to do more dates," Diego told her with a smile before he began to slowly indulge in his pancakes. When he would look back, he saw that Pearl was back to her usual attire. "I heard Steven say you are trying to repair some sort of spaceship or something?" he asked her.
 
"I don't think Mason will be doing it again, though, he's pretty much learned his lesson about sand." Rai said, seeing Mason had eaten his pancake so she put a small bowl of blueberries in front of him. Mason put a couple in his mouth before he gave a handful to Garnet, a handful for him only being three blueberries. Rai laughed, saying, "I think he like you, Garnet."

"Yeah I've been working on it." Pearl said with a sigh. "If Homeworld comes back and tries to take Steven again, we need a viable way to get him back."
 
Steven couldn't help but chuckle at what Rai said regarding Mason and the sand. "Well I am awesome," Garnet said with a joking smile as she took the trio of blueberries from Mason. "Well, we're all awesome! We're the Crystem Gems after all," Amethyst responded with a smile.

Diego goes to hug Pearl once more. "You're not alone. You have all of us to help you," Diego kissed her cheek to help her out even more.
 
"That you all are." Rai said finishing her pancakes and starting to do the dishes. Mason then tripped giving Garnet his sippy cup, causing Rai to chuckle. "Mason, she does not want your backwash."

"I know I just don't want to put you in any danger," Pearl explained with a sigh, "and I imagine Steven doesn't want to put Raiden in any danger either."
 
Steven decided to pick the cup before petting Mason. "Whelp, Garnet and I are gonna go do the usual rounds of looking around for anything," Amethyst said as she got up. "Don't worry. We'll be back before you all head out," she told them with a smile.

Diego embraced her before kissing her. He kept holding her to help her relax. "I knew what I was getting into when we started this. I want to be with you no matter what," he told her with a soft smile as he caressed her face gently.
 
"Okay," Rai said with a smile, "by the time you guys get back, we should be ready to leave." She grabbed Mason and headed to the bathroom.

"But did you really? You've never seen a homeworld gem, you don't know what they're capable of." Pearl said leaning away from him. "They put Steven and Greg in a human zoo, they put Steven on trial for war crimes, they split Garnet up, and they almost destroyed Earth twice."
 
Steven meanwhile began to clean-up the place while Amethyst and Garent were going on their usual inspection. "I wonder how things went with Pearl and Diego," Amethyst couldn't help but wonder out loud as they were preparing themselves.

"I've seen what all of you are capable of and Lapis and Peridot filled me in on more ifnormation," Diego told Pearl back. "I'm sure there will probably be more that will come back and who knows what else will arrive, but I wanna be there at your side. I want to be there for you," Diego told Pearl in a comforting tone.
 
"They probably watched a documentary or something." Rai commented. "You know Pearl and Diego stuff."

"No, I'm hesitant to let Steven do this stuff and he's a lot tougher than a human." Pearl sighed. "I'm not trying to exclude you, I'm trying to protect you. I love you and if something happens to you I'd never forgive myself."
