Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Daihachi went to chase him but Sasuke held him back. Akihime was waiting patiently, smiling brightly when Yukimura appeared, "Ready, Yukimura-sama?"

Yukimura gave his nod of agreement, following Akihime back to her army on horseback.

((Shall we skip ahead a little~?))

((Si!))

After returning to Osaka, Akihime didn't have to try very hard to get Yukimura back under her thumb. Just a simple little spell to toy with the love she knew he still held for her and he was puddy in her hands. Daihachi and Sasuke were captured and brought to Osaka while Akihime left some soldiers there to maintain her rule. Daihachi was returned to his cell and Sasuke given to Amaya again.
"I trust you won't dodge my orders this time around, Amaya." Akihime said firmly.

Amaya had her head bowed to Akihime, down on the floor on one knee. "Of course my lady. Whatever you ask of me, it will be done." She said, and though her heart yearned to by with Sasuke, she knew disobeying orders was not an option.

"Of corse, Akihime-sama." She nodded. "And for the boy and the shard?" She asked, glancing up at Akihime.

Yukimura trailed after Akihime, silent and dead-eyed like he had been ever since he had stepped foot inside Osaka.

Minehime was still chained up to the ceiling, covered in head to toe in wounds, clothes in tatters. She hadn't spoken much either, she didn't have much to say anyway.

Akihime moved through the castle, still a lot of it she hadn't seen. She moved down some stairs until she entered an odd lab. "Oh." She looked genuinely surprised, "Look at this, Yukimura-sama.."

The door opened and Mitsunari stepped in, his eyes landing on her before he looked back, "She's here, Tachi."

Yukimura moved closer to what Akihime had found, a quizzical look on his face. "It's a lab..?" He frowned slightly. "Why is this abandon?"

Minehime didn't move an inch when light flooded into the room and voices rang in her ears.
"Of course she'd leave her in this pitiful state." Tachi moved in with a scowl, reaching to undo the shackles, only to have his hands burn when he touched the metal.

"It might have been Hanbei's before he died." She said as she moved in, "I wonder what he was doing..."

Mitsunari moved and examined Tachi's hands, "Of course she left precautions as well. Are you alright? Does it hurt too much?"

Yukimura walked beside Akihime like a guard dog, never once leaving her side. He made a soft noise as something caught his eye. "Akihime, look at this." He pointed to rows upon rows of large cages, and inside, small children, all still alive when the most definitely should have been long dead. All of them had horns of some sort, and they all had scales and reptilian eyes; they looked like Minehime.

"I'm fine, but she isn't." This was the first time Tachi had shown concern for anyone other than Mitsunari. "We should treat her wounds."

Akihime moved over and looked at them all. "Yare yare daze~ what were you up to, Hanbei~?" She muttered to herself. She gasped, grabbing Yukimura's arm, "This gives me a beautiful idea!"

He nodded and started looking around for some form of first aid.

Yukimura smiled warmly when she grasped onto his arm. "What is it, Akihime?" He asked gently; it was all like the last few miserable months of having lost him were nothing but a bad dream.

Tachi searched the entire room, but all he found were more torture devices. He made a noise of disgust, but moved back to Minehime. "For now let's get her some food and water. She likely hasn't been feeding this little one for quite some time."

She turned to him, smiling brightly, "We can use these to have Date join us! He wants his damned shard, he'll get it!" She hadn't been this excited for anything in so long, it felt odd but good.

Mitsunari nodded and headed out, moving down the halls toward the kitchen. He glared at any who so much as gave him an odd look, making them either bow or look away out of fear. He snorted in annoyance before he grabbed a jug of water and whatever food he could find that he didn't think would be missed, making his way back to Tachi and Minehime, "Here, Tachi.." He said, offering the food and water.

Yukimura smiled widely. "That sounds wonderful. Date will not only bolster your ranks, but you will gain another worthy general." He said, almost sounding like he was in a dream.

Tachi nodded his thanks and moved over to Minehime, who still gave no response. He gently held her head up and smoothed away the hair from her face, which was covered in cuts and bruises; Akihime had been busy. He helped her drink water, but she wouldn't eat the food that he put into her mouth. "She isn't responsive in the slightest.... That witch is probably using magic to keep her docile." He hissed.

"Wouldn't that just be wonderful, my husband? You'll have your rival within arms reach, you two can sparr all the time~" She told him. She took his hand and pulled him along, "Come, we should write to him immediately."

Mitsunari's gaze zeroed in on the collar around Minehime's neck, "That thing there. That's new." He pointed out.

Yukimura nodded, following Akihime close, holding her hand with a firm squeeze, his heart content, but something in the back of his head told him this was wrong, that something was missing.

Tachi nodded and moved to take off the collar, scowling at the deep marks it left in her neck; it had cut deep into her throat, the wounds festering. Almost as soon as the collar was off, Minehime began to cough and thrash, as though completely reanimated. When she saw who it was she stopped. "Who are you..?" She sounded scared and tired, and though she'd never seen Tachi, she should have remembered Mitsunari at least.

Didn't she wrong him in some way? Ripped out his heart and spat on it? No, there was no way. She was so loving and kind, she couldn't have done anything wrong. But the nagging feeling wouldn't go away. Maybe she could help him? Or would that be rude to ask her for guidance? They reached their room and she moved to sit at her vanity. "Morinobu." She called. Daihachi dragged himself out of a side room, looking exhausted and defeated. It didn't take long to break him. He didn't have the willpower to keep fighting.
"Hai...?"
"Bring me my stationary." She ordered. Daihachi moved to a side table and pulled some paper and ink from a drawer before handing it over to her.
"Arigatou." She smiled and Daihachi bowed.

"Hurry and feed her, I don't know when Otani will return." Mitsunari sounded irate, but it was just him being cautious. If Akihime had a collar to subdue living weapons, who knows what else she had to get what she wanted. He couldn't imagine Tachi having one of those things.

Yukimura didn't even seem to notice Daihachi, he simply stood in the corner of the room, his mind in a thick fog that kept him compliant. The only one he'd respond to was Akihime, like she had become his thrall.

"I don't want food, let me go!" Minehime demanded, though her voice trembled.
"We cannot do that, as much as I'd like to, we can't."
Minehime looked defeated, but gave a nod, eating the food Tachi gave to her.

Akihime wrote a brief letter to Masamune before sealing it and handing it to Daihachi, "Give this to the courier and have him send it to Date Masamune." She ordered. He nodded, taking the letter and leaving the room. Akihime sighed softly, leaning back in her seat.

Mitsunari kept a look out. He didn't know if Akihime would show up or if her pet would. It made him anxious and he didn't like that.

Yukimura moved over and placed his hands on her shoulders, kissing her cheek. "Everything with come together soon." He said with a smile.

"We need to leave now little one, but worry not."
"Please don't go.."
"Rest easy.." He said, Minehime nodding as he put the collar on, although not quite as tight.

She smiled, placing her hand over his, "Hai. I'm just a little impatient." She admitted.

Mitsunari grabbed the jug as they left, mot wanting to leave any evidence behind

"That's not true in the slightest." He said softly, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles gently. "You're far too kind." He whispered.

She smiled and laughed softly, "Only to you, my husband.." She said.

It took the courier almost a week to reach Oshuu. He handed the letter to Kojurou, who said Masamune was busy and wished not to be disturbed. The Right Eye moved to the training room where Masamune and Megohime were; the blade sat and watched Masamune while the Dokuganryuu kept his skills honed with his broadsword. "Masamune-sama, a letter arrived from Osaka."
"The fuck?" Masamune stopped and moved over, taking the letter and opening it.
