Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

"Sasuke told me about my brother." He said lowly. "He told me of the plague you gave the villagers." His expression went from angry to just sad. "It's over Akihime, your crimes have come to light and there's no avoiding them anymore.."

Akihime exhaled softly. "Join me, Yukimura-sama. I'll call off my warriors and you can live in Osaka with me. Daihachi will go free and rule Kai for us. Please, my husband." She smiled sadly, "I miss you."
"Don't listen to her, Tou-san!!" Daihachi yelled, "She's lying!"

Amaya punched Daihachi hard in the gut, hissing at him to shut up.
Part of Yukimura wanted to agree, but the other part of him won over. "No, I cannot do that, Akihime." He said, steeling himself. "Surrender yourself, atone for your sins."

She sighed softly, "I didn't want to have to do this. Amaya, kill the boy. Mitsunari, prepare the men."
"Archers!" Mitsunari rose his blade to signal.

As soon as Amaya put the blade against Daihachi's throat, Yukimura dismounted his horse and threw down his spears. "Stop." His eyes were glued to his son, but he was talking to Akihime. "I.. I'll agree to your terms... Just let him go... Let our son go." He said softly.

"Hold." Akihime said and dismounted as well, moving over to Yukimura and hugging him tight, "Arigatou, Yukimura-sama...you've made me so happy..."

Yukimura didn't hug her back, but he didn't move away either. "Please let Daihachi go.." He said softly.
Amaya removed her blade from Daihachi's throat, sheathing it once more.

"Release his chains, Amaya." She commanded gently. When Daihachi was freed, he rushed over and pushed Akihime away from Yukimura, glaring hatefully. She frowned softly, "Still upset with Kaa-san, Daihachi-kun?" He only glared more, refusing to speak.

"Daihachi, that's enough.." Yukimura grabbed his sons arm and gently pulled him away from Akihime, trapping him in a hug. "It's ok."

"B-But, Tou-san...!"
"It's ok, Daihachi-kun, we get to be a family again." Akihime looked genuinely happy and Daihachi shot her another glare.
"Shut up!"

"Akihime, let me take Daihachi back to the estate and have him checked out by the healers." He said, making sure Daihachi didn't try to attack Akihime again.

Yukimura nodded and helped Daihachi onto his horse before he mounted it himself and headed back to the estate. "Are you alright?" He knew the answer, but needed to ask regardless.

He gave a slight nod, but said nothing. Once they reached the estate, he called for a healer, regardless of what Daihachi told him. "Sasuke."

"I'm leaving for Osaka. I'm leaving Daihachi in charge in my stead." He turned to look at his friend and put a hand on his shoulder. "Make sure he walks the right path while I'm gone." He said softly.

"I had no choice." He said, frowning heavily. "It was that, or watch Daihachi die." He spoke quietly, so Daihachi wouldn't hear. "I'll be alright, don't worry."

"I do need you." He said, a serious look in his eyes. "I need you to look after Daihachi. Please." He begged. "Guide him."

Yukimura gave a nod, then moved over to say goodbye to his son. "I'm sorry to leave you when I only just got you back." He said softly, frowning. "Will you keep Kai safe for me while I'm gone?"

Yukimura smiled warmly and gave his shoulders a tight squeeze. "I'm so proud of you, Daihachi." He said, giving his son one last hug before leaving to meet up with Akihime once more.
