Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

"Not a trap.." He mused, "More like a copy. She's weak for some reason. Vulnerable." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "She's gonna pop out that babe soon and no one is letting her leave in fear of losing her and the child. So what if we take the child?"

Nana thought for a moment. ”So we take the child, and then what?” She dipped her hands into the water and splashed some onto her face. ”It probably would be better off raised by anyone than her, and I’d prefer not to harm a child.”

Nana made a face of disgust, nodding. ”Alright, did you have a plan in mind?” There was no way she was going to let another child end up under Akihime’s wrath.

"What if we send Ren to spy on her? As a 'sign of good faith'. Ren's a good lad, he won't fail. We have him go as an emissary and when the child is born, he lets us know and we reclaim the child and raise it as our own!" He said.

Nana gave a small nod. ”No child deserves a mother like her.” She put a hand over Motochika’s, squeezing his hand tightly.

Ren once again scrambled down from the crows nest to Motochika, standing before him. “Aye, Cap’n?” He asked curiously.

Ren blinked in confusion, staring up at Motochika. “Spy on ‘er? What for?” He seemed to be asking genuinely enough.

"She is a vile evil viper of a woman. She gave Nana away without my permission. She uses people for her own gains. And she has a child on the way. No child should live in a life like that." He said.

Ren’s gut twisted in knots, and he felt his face grow hot. He looked down at the floor and nodded. “Aye.” He set his face with determination. “What do ya want me to do?”

"Just keep an eye on her. Send word when she's close to delivering her child, we'll get you both out of there." He told him, "It sounds wrong, I know. I don't condone such things, but Akihime is a special case."

He nodded, saluting to his captain before heading off to ready himself for his journey back to mainland. Once he was ready, he bid his captain farewell, and set off in a smaller ship.

Ren had never been to the the Capital, but Motochika gave him directions and a letter from the captain himself to make sure he got inside without too much trouble. He poor lad looked lost, eyes wide as he marveled at all the new sights.

“Akihime-sama.” Amaya bowed before Akihime, frowning softly. “It seems Chosokabe sent an emissary after our encounter, shall I bring him here?”

“He was one of Motochika’s crew who saw me board the ship, my lady.” She glanced up at Akihime. “I’d request to take your form once more, if you’ll allow me?”

Ren was escorted in by two guards, who presented him to Akihime before moving to stand a ways behind the young lad.
Ren stood stiffly, nervous to be before such an important person, avoiding eye contact.

Ren stiffened when Akihime spoke, clearing his throat. “Well, uh.. Cap’n wanted to send me here as a sign of goodwill, to uh, keep the peace he said.” His heart was beating heavily in his chest; God’s even her voice was beautiful.

His heart raced in his chest again and he sputtered nervously, bowing to her and then saluting as well, unsure of which she preferred. “Thank you, Akihime-dono!”
