Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

"What are you doing to her?"
"I'm going to teach you a lesson; a lesson in what it means to disrespect me." Akihime stated before waving her hand. The guards pulled a heavy chain to a door, where loud sounds of dogs could be heard. There was a mass of them, snarling drooling warhounds rushing at Megohime. They bit into her hide, blood gushing from the wounds as they started tearing into her. Masamune lurched forward, "Stop! She doesn't deserve this!"

The most horrifying scream game from Megohime, writhing and lashing out at the dogs. She managed to down a few, but there were just too many hounds to fight all at once. One managed to jump onto her back, tearing at her neck and bloodying her mane. She went down quick after that, more dogs managing to pull her legs from under her.
Masamune felt every bite, every tear in her flesh and every scale that was pulled out, and soon, Megohime wasn’t making any noise, lost in the mass amount of dogs that swarmed her.

"Stop! Stop!" Masamune dropped to his knees, body wracking with agony, "Please...stop, Megohime doesn't deserve this..."
"You apologize?" Akihime asked. Masamune clenched his jaw but nodded.
"Yes. Please, I'm sorry. Don't kill Megohime..."
"She can't die unless I have Amaya take her life. She'll heal." Akihime waved her hand and the guards called the dogs back. She turned to Masamune, brows furrowed, "Do not go against me again."
"Yes...Akihime-sama..." Masamune muttered. Akihime smirked behind her sleeve.
"You may go to her." She said and Masamune struggled to his feet before heading down to see Megohime.

Megohime lay on her side, covered in blood and deep wounds. The paw of her left foot had nearly been torn clean off, a wide open wound on her stomach, and dozens of bitemarks along her entire body. Blood dripped from her nose and she breathed heavily, eyes shut.

"Mego..." He knelt beside her head and carefully lifted it to lay her head in his lap. He sat with her, gently petting her mane, not caring if her blood stained his hand, "I'm so sorry, Mego..."

Megohime was breathing heavily, entire body shaking as pain flooded her senses. She opened her eyes when Masamune spoke, chittering lowly, then letting out a soft whine.

Megohime looked up at him with begging eyes, then lay her head down on his lap again. ”I’m sorry, Masamune... I’m sorry I let her touch me, I shouldn’t have done such a shameful thing..” He could see she was struggling to breath at this point; she was dying.

"Hey, hey, it's ok..." He said, trying to keep his voice level, "I'm not mad at you. Just...just stay awake, ok...? Talk to me...you wanna hear some more jokes? I'm full of 'em..."

Megohime shuddered and coughed up a good amount of blood. ”Yeah... Sounds nice..” He could see her fight to keep her eyes open, body shaking.

Megohime wheezed hard and hacked up a good amount of blood, body thrashing a bit. ”Wh-What..?”

Megohime finally seemed to relax, letting out a raspy breath, as if laughing at Masamune’s joke, then she was still. She didn’t cough up anymore blood, didn’t struggle to breath, and didn’t thrash in pain.

He didn't move, didn't speak a single word, just continued to pet her mane and left her head resting in his lap. He sniffed as tears fell down his cheeks, his chest hollow and feeling empty. She just needs to rest, he told himself. In a couple days, she would be up and ready to leave no problem. She couldn't die. She wasn't allowed to.

For hours Masamune sat like that, but no flies ever came to swarm the body he cradled, no foul scent. Slowly, her wounds closed, sealing up on their own like time had rewound them. It wouldn’t be until the next morning that Megohime took a breath, eyes opening, but she didn’t stir.

He didn't care if his knees were hurting from sitting like this for so long, or that his stomach demanded food. He just dried his eye and rested his hand on her head. "Mego?"

Megohime groaned softly, letting out a snort and leaning into his touch. ”How long was I out?”

Her form changed and a blade lay across his lap, she must have extended a lot of energy. ”I’m getting slower..” She joked.

”Masamune..” Megohime sounded tired, she still needed to rest after regenerating such extensive wounds. ”I want you to kill her one day.”

He walked out to the front gate, ignoring the guards that tried stopping him, even breaking one's wrist without hesitation. "Tell Akihime her men are leaving Oshuu, and any attempt to return them to my land will be an act of war." He hissed before walking out the front gate and grabbing his horse.
