Megohime had been hovering around Masamune as always, though not like she actually interacted with him much, rather preferring to nap in a chair by the windows as he worked, or even on occasion on his lap, making it hard to get certain work done.
“Quite.” She answered, shifting so her head was on his thigh, peeling open one eye to look at him. “Can’t you take a break? I’m bored, and all you’ve been doing is paper work.”
"Paperwork is what you do when you run a country and house soldiers, Mego." He told her, "Why don't you go terrorize some kids or something?" He teased
Megohime let out a heavy sigh, but it was all for show. “Alright, alright.” She sat up and moved over to the door. “But I don’t want to hear a word about missing livestock.” She said before leaving the room and heading outside to wander the castle grounds.
Megohime had decided on a walk by herself, she wasn’t in the mood for the rowdiness of the soldiers, and didn’t even want Akihime’s men to look in her direction. It was a good day for strolls, a slight breeze, clear skies, and a warm sun.
Megohime still hadn’t grown accustom to people greeting her in such a friendly mamber, but waved back regardless. She took the path away from the fields, heading into the forest, not in the least bit concerned.
It was quiet. Peaceful. Way different than the hustle and bustle of Masamune's estate. The birds chirped their songs and the sun peeked down through the leaves and the trees, adding a serene feeling.
Megohime let out a soft breath, moving along down the path to a particularly dense-hidden clearing. She had been there many times before. Moving to the place she usually slept, she leaned against the rock completely engulfed by the suns rays, enjoying the warmth of the rock as she closed her eyes.
It was so quiet. So relaxing. At least until she heard movement coming toward her. "Hello again, Megohime-dono." Matsunaga greeted calmly, "Enjoying a sun bath?"
Megohime’s repltian she’s turned to fine slits, and she moved forward, grabbing the front of Matsunaga’s clothes in rage. “A gift? And what makes you think I want this gift?” She snarled, then stopped when she heard another pair of footsteps off to the side of her, turning her attention there.
"Megohime?" That voice. There was no way. Out of the foliage came a literal ghost of her past, unchanged by time or death. Her late husband stopped just a ways away, frowning softly at her. "What are you doing, Megohime?"
Megohime’s grip on Matsunaga’s clothes loosened, and she slowly turned to the man before her. “Ryuunosuke-sama..?” Her expression softened, and she moved closer to him. “I-I was just.. what.. How are you..?”
"Matsunaga-san brought me back. I missed you so much, Megohime." He hadn't changed at all; his light brown hair framed his face as it always did, it could never be tamed. His eyes were still the warm gentle blue she remembered.
Megohime suddenly was very aware of every aspect of herself: her horns, the scales that peppered her flesh, and the sharp fangs in her mouth. “I missed you as well.. Ryuunosuke-sama..” she said softly, face flushed.
Megohime’s entire face flushed a deep red, completely disregarding Matsunaga at this point. She didn’t care, Ryuunosuke was back; how though? It didn’t matter, it was him, it truly was him. She fought tears as she rested her face against his chest. “I was so lonely without you..”
